  1. Ronan Finn - MC - 24 - Shamrock Rovers If you sign me I'll make you smile too! This young lad is a perfect signing for lower league clubs. You can get him in January 2013 on Bosman, and he will definitely be your midfield maestro. Here are his stats in the start of the game: Don't let my lack of green attributes fool you! His favourite role is as a Deep Lying midfielder. I have signed him for Wrexham in my Caretaker Challenge, and played him as one of the central midfielders in my marvelous 4-2-3-1! He arrived in January as a Bosman signing - great stuff - and these are his stats after half an year of normal training: Not too shabby for Blue Square Premier! He performed at a very high level, as it can be seen by his stats: I'm waiting for Premier League bids anytime soon Notice that his value has increased 24-fold since his arrival So, if you're managing in the bottom of the leagues' pyramid, don't hesitate to snatch this guy. He will score loads of headers from corners, run wild from deep to surprise defenders and score a few - even if his shooting is crappy!
  2. The Player The Good Stuff 1. He's free at the start of the game 2. Some great stats for a winger 3. Very quick 4. He's competent or better in most positions 5. Seems to be available on all leagues 6. Still relatively young The Bad Stuff 1. His crossing and creativity could be better 2. He asks for a relatively high wage (£22,000 pw) In Summary Royston is a bargain signing for a good, but not top flight club. If you use wide midfielders/wingers you should give him a look, if only to add a bit of depth to your squad or to sell on for a tasty profit. His versatility means that he can deputise in almost any position (other than in goal or as a forward), so he makes an excellent bench-warmer, too. Stats after IT This is how he looks after a season on IT. He's done pretty well, improving in a lot of key areas for an attacking player. His crossing has increased by two points, dealing with one of his potential weaknesses as a wide player. Form A really good first season, even though he was playing out of position as an AMC. His finishing let him down a bit early in the season and he squandered a lot of chances, but made up for it by setting up a pile of goals. Towards the end of the season his goal-scoring picked up, with most of his six goals coming in the last couple of months. I have high hopes for him next season.
  3. The Player Stats after IT Form Good Stuff 1. He's available on a free transfer at the start of the game. 2. His defensive stats are really rather good. 3. He's young 4. He only asks for about £725 pw 5. He'd probably be happy to sign for a Jupiler League club Bad Stuff 1. He's a bit of a donkey - no creativity, can't pass, can't cross, can't dribble etc. etc. 2. He's probably only available with the Dutch league loaded on it's own In Summary If you're playing in the Dutch leagues and wan't a young, cheap, no nonsense central defender, Brian is your man. I signed him for Ajax and in five games he's managed an average rating of 7.5. He's not about to win World Player of the Year and would probably be a disaster as a ball-playing defender, but he can win the ball from the opposition and hoof it up the pitch. With his impressive aerial ability and decent strength he can also be a threat from corners. Give him a shot, you have nothing to lose.
