Help Buying FMM16 on iPhone, does it transfer to iPad?

As per the above, if I buy FMM16 on my iPhone with the same Apple ID as my iPad do I have to purchase twice?

One purchase covers both of your devices, yes. As long as they are the same store - which these are. Buying it on Android doesn't give Apple version and visa versa though.

I've bought it on my iPhone and went to download it onto my iPad and it was asking for the £6.99 again, any ideas why?
