Challenges The Everton in the 80's Challenge

Recommended Posts

Following my first 80's challenge, The F.C Barcelona 86-87 Challenge here is the second in my trilogy of 80's based challenges.

Just a week before the club faced a tricky FA Cup third round tie at Stoke City, just 13,659 fans turned up to watch an abysmal 0-0 draw against Coventry at Goodison Park, with protest leaflets handed out by fans spelling out their feelings towards the chairman and manager: “Kendall and Carter must go. 26,000 stay-away fans can’t be wrong.” Everton were 16th in the league and apparently going nowhere. Defeat at Stoke or Oxford in the forthcoming FA Cup and Milk Cup ties did not bear thinking about for Kendall. Goals from Andy Gray and Alan Irvine secured a 2-0 against Stoke and started the rags to ribbons story for Kendall and his team, as the road to Wembley began.

From when Kendall took over in May 1981 till the time he left June 1987 he has transformed the team into the most successful side in the clubs history but can you repeat it?

Challenge Rules

1. Load up England and any other countries and take charge of Everton.

2. You have six seasons in which to replicate the trophies won in the Kendall period.

3. You must win 2 League Titles, 1 FA Cup, 3 Charity Shields and 1 European Trophy.

4. Also you must sign an English striker and he must score 30 league goals in one season (Think Gary Lineker 85-86)

5. Own formations only

6. No unlockables, edited databases, or use of any of the editors

7. Evidence is required, I'd suggest posting a career thread for us to follow.

8. No cheating - Restarting to avoid injuries counts as cheating!!

Would love to do this as this is not that difficult but don't have enough time at the moment :(

Ah, it always a tough league in England and Stones & Lukaku are always sold quickly so keeping hold of them would be vital.

btw just to clarify it, the striker that i need to sign has to score 30 goals in one season right? Then we can do it in any season we want and only one season am i right?

Sadly not, I did think about one but I really wanted to do an Everton one so didn't want another EPL based challenge.

Give me more! Loving these, but Barca is limited(and ur doing it already) and Everton is not my type. Let's hope something else gets my attention.

Yeah, the main idea was to do some short sharp ones to be getting people post more careers as the majority of posts are for usual long careers like the 1k and Triple Threat challenges.

That's right, 30 league goals in any of the six seasons the challenge lasts for.
