Help Average DLP performances

Whilst Deep Lying Playmakers have been part of many of the successful tactics I have used, they always seem to get a pretty underwhelming average rating (about 7), even in winning teams. Anyone know why this is, or had anything similar?

I think it's because they are a little bit underrated just like playing DMs that rarely go above 6 unless they score a goal or the team plays well collectively

You say they go underrated unless the team is good collectively, but it's in my successful teams that it occurs the most. I suppose it depends on whether rating is relative to the rest of the team, or based on how well a player fulfills his role. I've always assumed it's the latter, based on the statistical nature of FM, especially with the inclusion of role traits.
