Help Newbie needs help

Hey guys, 

Newbie manager here trying to figure out some stuff. 

Can someone point me in the direction for managing A/B teams? Save A configuration, save B configuration, and then fine tune to each match?

Player roles, is it best to pick their 'strongest' role for that position or whatever the manager, I, want them to play?

What do I do with 2nd team (reserve team?) ? I have set assistant coach to manage it and loan out 19 and under. Also, how do I promote?
