Does the pressing forward actually press or is he just a link man?

They press and force errors often leading to goals.

Watch your games and you'll see it.

Does he tend to score the goals himself or force errors that other players pick up the ball from?

Mine seem to steal balls off defenders and score.

Not seen many myself where others benefit, but I'm sure it's possible.

It happens but it's not a common thing. I've used a proper BWM as a pressing forward and it still wasn't consistent. I understand that they drop deeper but they  don't harass opposition players like I want them to.

I'm assuming the pressing forward role is Okazaki's role in Ranieri's title winning 4-4-2

I have this simple way to explain pressing forward:

Advance Forward + more pressing job. Irl example would be Cavani-Ronaldo duo. Cavani is a PF and Ronaldo is an AF

Yeah I figured. Their on-ball job is pretty simple. But it's their off the ball job that isn't consistent. They drop deep but they do not press the ball carrier or block passing lanes. They are just down there, watching all the action from close range

Sounds like we (Spurs) have a team of 11 PF currently…
