CHOOSING THE CLUB

I chose Montrose F.C as my team to manage from Scotland. Founded in 1879, the club sits in League one. My aim was to get little ol' Montrose F.C promoted to the championship.

STADIUM & FACILITIES

Montrose F.C has a very average infrastructure. The club has average 1st team & youth facilities. The stadium holds over 4,900 supporters.

STAFF, FINANCES & TRAINING

The staff room is full but has mostly low standard Coaches, Scouts & Physios. The finances are OK but have overspent in the transfer market. The training was delegated to Assistant Manager Garry Balfour.

SQUAD

We did overspend as a club buying in new players for the season ahead due to the lack of quality in the side. As you can see, many new players joined the club, all with my key attributes of PACE,DECISIONS & Teamwork. This said, quite a lot of players were released from the club to build up funds.

TACTICS

I used my Attacking Tiki Taka Tactic for this career. Despite the players bought in, still a real lack of quality in the side which led to inconsistent results. That said, we did have the 2nd best defence in the league but not a strong enough attack to capitalise on that.

THE RESULTS

The result overall was successful & Montrose F.C did gain promotion to the championship. We finished 3rd in the table & had to go through the dreaded play-offs. Mission accomplished but disapointing really, we lost/drew over 50% of our games.
