Hello all! This will be my first ever challenge and it is BatiGoal's Le Tour de France 2017 challenge. For those of you who don't know about the challenge. There are for stages. Stage 1 needs 25 assists by your player in any German team. Stage 2 needs 25 assists by your player in any Northern France team. Stage 3 needs 25 assists by your player in any Southern France team. Stage 4 needs 250 goals by your player playing for PSG.

Nathan Durieux who we got for a cheap 190k.

What an amazing start to the season with Durieux providing 3 assists!

Wow not only did we beat them, but we embarrassed them!

Another win in the cup that I absolutely did not expect.

Sadly our cup run ended to Dortmund, but we put up a fight.

League:

Just had to put these two matches in here because of how unexpected it was to me.

Standings:

Wow! I did not expect to come close to winning the league!

Goals, Assists, Avg. Rating

I am kind of torn on this. On one hand he won an award, on the other hand this could make him cost even more and hurt my chances at getting him to stage 2.

Only missed it by 5 assists! Surely would have gotten it if we had European competition.

From what I remember, robust means that he won't be injured easily. The recurring shin injury worries me a bit though.

Great start and great-looking update too! You probably need 2-3 seasons in Germany anyway to build your reputation before moving on to stage 2, and you've almost completed it already, so well done.

I like the player and good club pick as well. Should have no problems having him move clubs in the next stage. Goodluck in season 2.

For anyone who wants to know what formation and instructions I used.

Only instructions I changed was playing balanced mentality when playing away and when losing and other team playing defensive I turn off counter attack, turn on pressing and switch to attacking mentality if not already on.

Season 2: Stage 1 part 2

At the end of the first season, Durieux only needed 5 more assists to finish the stage. Did he finally get there?

On the 25th of August 2017 Durieux reaches his 25th assist and completes stage 1.

Now let's see how the team did.

German Super Cup

Dortmund played better than us, but needed a late goal to tie the game up. In the end, we win in penalties after Schürrle misses the goal completely.

German Cup

Honestly, I've never seen any of my teams completely dominate the other team. The ball was only on our third of the field 5% of the time.

Ouch, we exit the cup early in penalties after both sides score an extra time goal.

Champions Cup

We ended up in group A with Inter, Atletico Madrid, and Red Star.

Wow! I did not expect our team to get past Madrid. I should stop underestimating my own team so much.

We end up beating ourselves after a late own goal tied up the game and aggregate and in extra time Niang scores the game winner.

League

After finishing first place last season, we had high expectations for the league. It went down to the last game where we lost and Bayern won. I will still take second place.

Lewandowski tore up the league with 34 goals after missing half of last season. The American Terrance Boyd took advantage of every other striker being injured and became our new star striker.

After finishing the challenge, I did not play Durieux as much as last season in an attempt at lowering his value. He still ended with 9 league assists.

Durieux won Young Player of the Year again which surprised me a bit.

I was not focused on Durieux after he reached 25 assists so he didn't really improve much in stats.

Now we are off to stage 2 and now have to find the right Northen French club that has the budget to buy Durieux. I rushed through posting this so I hope I didn't miss anything.

So a spoiler for season 3 that I had to post because of how odd it was for me.

No changing clubs. Not a single Ligue 1 or 2 team was available from the beginning of offseason all the way to half way through the next season so I'll just try to raise my reputation instead.

Sorry anyone who has been waiting for this to continue. I am still on the 3rd season, but not playing as much anymore with me preparing for college and all. Not making any progress in season 3 really took me out of it. It's weird to say, but I'm already not feeling as motivated to do this on free time as often like the first two seasons and it's only the 3rd season. I really do want to complete the challenge. Also for some reason my current save is now a few games into the season and my backup save is right before the season began for some reason. Not sure if that's what it really was at and I was just mistaken or something happened to my save or I never saved. I just feel like I was at the halfway point of the season.
