CHOOSING THE CLUB

Limavady United F.C was formed in 1884 and one of the founder of the Irish Football Association. Surprisingly, the club is the smallest in the Northern Ireland 2nd Division. Taking such a small club with Basic Facilities to the top will be very difficult.

STADIUM AND FACILITIES

When I arrived at the club, it has Basic Youth and 1st Team Facilities. I have managed to improve this in my 1st season so the club now has below average facilities. The Stadium is tiny and only holds 550 Fans, with the Average attendance being 0!!

STAFF,FINANCES & TRAINING

I have delegated the squad training to my Assistant Manager Damian McCorry. The Finances could be in a better, which is down to me overhauling the squad when I arrived. The club had 0x Staff members when I arrived but now have a full staffing list, although they are all bronze quality.

TACTICS

After the success with the below tactic with VSK Aarhus, I decided to use this for Limavardy United FC. The squad immediately took to this tactic very well. This could be down to the higher fitness levels which were focused on in the transfer market.

SQUAD

Below are the list of transfers in and out in my first season - there are a lot.The quality of the players in the squad when I arrived were very poor and could not compete for the title. Due to the lack of funds, I managed to buy in new players for Free or for a small amount.

THE RESULT

The 1st Season with Limavardy FC was a very successful one, with us winning the 2nd Division & reaching Irish Cup Final! The way we won it was the most pleasing with Limavardy United FC having both the best attack and defence in the league. I am so proud of the players for this incredible achievement.

Update- Year 2021

Unbelievably, my next season at Limavady United FC was also incredibly successful. I managed to win the Bluefin Sport Championship and lost in one of the domestic cup finals. We really are pushing forward as a club and reaching greater and greater heights - fantastic effort from the lads.

UPDATE - YEAR 2023

As you can see, Limavardy United have become Bluefin sport premiership CHAMPIONS and Irish Cup CHAMPIONS!!🥳🥳🥳 Despite how great this finish was, it did not come as easily as it appears, with us finishing 4th in the Premiership the previous season. This also being said, going from being the smallest club in the Northern Ireland 3rd Tier to Premiership champions in only 4 years is an outstanding achievement and one to be proud of!

Winning the premiership was particularly satisfying because of the way we won it. The club won by over 30 points and had the best defence and attack! We played amazing football and it was an amazing achievement.

On a personal note, This is some of the best management I have done and really cements my Philosophy. My win rate was 63% through winning a fantastic 101 matches out of 160.  There is no telling what this squad could do going forward as were playing amazing football.
