Hi folk and welcome to FMM21!

I don't know about you guys but I've always been a fan of the challenges posted by many great accounts I've never really attempted one and stuck to it, which makes me wonder how can I get hooked onto a save and stay engaged throughout? Welcome to the Gareth Barry Challenge!

I'm sure you've all heard of the hard hitting midfielder as the man who's made the most premier league appearances ever and I'm although everyone may not be his biggest fan, you do have to admire his longevity in the best league in the world. Barry announced his retirement from the professional game in August 2020, bringing down the curtain on a very fine career.

In terms of honours Gareth never set the world alight winning an Intertoto Cup with Aston Villa and a Premier League and FA Cup with Manchester City. In his 20 (Yes 20 consecutive) Seasons in the premier league he managed to rack up a staggering 653 appearances for Aston Villa, Manchester City, Everton and West Brom he managed to score 53 goals and assist 48 more which considering playing as a DM in a Ball Winning Midfielders role is pretty impressive. Barry also played for England at the highest level 53 times scoring 3 goals.

 

The aim of this challenge is to top the charts of premier league appearances and beat Gareth Barry's title haul, goals and assists in your 20 seasons available.

Rules:

• Take a 17 Year Old DM from any premier league club (English nationality).
• Beat 653 Premier league appearances
• Ensure he plays for 4 clubs like Barry
• Win at least 2 premier leagues, 2 Domestic trophies and 2 European trophies
• Outscore and assist Barry
• Must only play in the DM position
• No unlockables
• No cheating
• Own formations 
• Any badge and reputation
• Any database
