Thanks! I've given it a try in an old save to check some doubts about my coaches saying "he's not good" while I was thinking "he will be good"... Well, turns out none of us was true haha.

I've spotted one little "bug" though: Some players in the "quick search" appear to have "None" as clubs, and if I load the shortlist in the game they do not appear at all. Is that because they are still in "club young teams"?

Oh yeah, if they are about 16 or 17 and have None, then they are the Academy kids. At the start of the save, it's generally just yours and maybe a couple more, but in later seasons it seems there are more. I haven't worked that out yet. 

Ok thanks, it's good to know! I checked one of my 4,5-star academy kid and yes he was in the high-PA list, with "None" as a club.

Yeah, one day I hope to work out how they are linked to your club so I can show them properly!

Once again you are a lifesaver..when the game is getting boring you came and give it an interest..

I'm not sure I understand - which bit are you talking about? The CA & PA (current ability and potential ability)? Or the position values? Or something else?

In FMM23 itself. Just go to Shortlist > Load/Save > Load Shortlist and you should see the one you exported from AM23 in whichever slot you exported it. The name of the shortlist will be something like `AM23 2023-08-07 15:34:12`.

It can have problems the first time you export each number (1 to 4) if there isn't already a shortlist save by FMM in that location, so you might need to go into FMM and save a shortlist first. For some reason it can overwrite an existing shortlist, but on at least some phones it can't seem to create a one if there isn't one already there...

One thing this app really shows is how bad certain aspects of this game are. 

1. Middle aged regens - The game seems to love to create players who are near to their peak age and won't develop at all at random, with huge potential values. Observing previous years PA using similar tools, it would appear that the game algorithm limits the total potential of all players to a set amount to obtain balance (ie you don't have 25 Messi level players floating about, but 1-2 max). But with these pointless regens who won't develop to their potential, it means you get a much total quality of player in the game.

2. Scout and Coaching reports are insanely inaccurate - In my save I bought Gvardiol in on a free. My scout listed him as 2.5 stars but I took a chance, and my coach now rates him as a 3.... He has a CA of 168 and PA of 170, making him the fifth best CB in the world on PA. 

After 1.5 seasons in the team, you'd think a gold coach would be able to tell a Middlesbrough rotation defensive option from a world beater. Not in this game.

The worst is Victor Roque...CA158/PA170. My coach attributes 2 stars to him, which is ridiculous. My best striker is +2 CA and has 4.5 stars (and maxed out potential)... 

In fact, using the in game star rating as a guide, my first team would have 9 inferior players selected on CA. Some are significantly different (coach ranking a 141 CA over a 180/ 4.5 v 4 stars). 

3. Development is accelerated then seems to stop dead-  players who I loaned to my affiliate club in league one (Sutton United) under 21 years of age reach 140-150 CA almost instantly after one loan season, in most cases this is maximum potential for them. My true wonderkids who are kept with the first team and have played a fair few games (say all cup games, easy CL games as starts, almost all games for 30 mins at sub) have lower CAs at similar ages. Which doesn't make sense. I'd imagine 30 minutes Vs PSG in a CL final would be better than more matches Vs Blackpool.

After they get to 150, their development pretty much stops. If I go forward one season, my top potential player with 190PA and CA at 152 gains 4 CA in a season where he played 47 games. This seems consistent. I have a squad of very high potential (I'm in 2029-2030) but hardly any develop after 21/150CA.

Looking at the database, for players 26 or under (ie still teens at the start of regens), there are only 15 players between 166CA and 150. 

Essentially the quality of players seems to just die out as time goes on. 

4. Older players don't decline - All the best players are original players in the database and while some make sense (mbappé is still brilliant but only 30), all those drifting to the late 30s hardly decline at all. 

Harry Kane is 36 and is 170CA for instance. Laporte is still 171CA. Judging on all the non retired famous players now over the age of 34, the highest decline I seen was 15CA points.

under the ca and pa rating at the top right corner... there are white 1 , green 20... which atribute are those number represent

Oh right, that's the position values with ST at the top and GK at the bottom. So Foden has 14 for ST, 20 for AML (left wing), 20 for AMC, 17 for AMR etc. Hope that makes sense.

When I searched the database you do get a few players in there that list no club, but have contract details populate. These players do not exist in the game and can't be found searching. After the game offered me the option to steal a youth player, I searched for him and he came up as one of those players. So I think the tool can identify the trialists about to join the game even if they don't appear at clubs until the season after. 

Just some feedback for you to consider if you want to try to sell the app in the future! Not sure if there is a way to fix the no club thing seeing as though these players are invisible? Doesn't matter to me now I worked it out...

Later on it has the regen/academy kids for the other teams, but seems not in the first season. I'll try to work out how to show them better somehow, but not for the moment

This apk only search in internal memory of the phone, somehow my fmm23 are installed on sd card so it cant be searched by this apk, any solution for this?

This might work:

am23-v1.0.2a-sdcard-try.apk

It seems the folder browser can't browse the SD card, but I try to locate the folder directly by looking in common paths. 

It's a bit of a long shot, but it may work. If it doesn't, then there is probably no way to fix it this time around, but when I rebuild it, I will see I can solve it (long time away).

Still couldn't open the folder from the sd card, but I tried manually copying the saved data and moving it to the internal storage, it worked, unfortunately only one savedata could be opened

Having tested this more using this app, it really is depressing how broken this game is. Over multiple saves and seasons, you really see how impossible it is to get players over 160PA mark despite everything being perfect, and also how utterly random something in game are. 

I set up a test game where basically the only objective was to buy younger talent with extremely high PA, and to chart how they develop using this tool. After 150CA, players just literally stop developing, and minor injuries for a few weeks or a month out of the first team can literally wipe 3 seasons of CA gain in an instant. All the younger higher CA players who are real life players decline - Haaland always ends up in his late 20s around 150-160CA.

You could say this is affected by a players hidden attributes, but these literally do not conform to the in-game reality. As an example, I had one player who had hidden attributes of 20 professionalism, 20 work rate, 200 PA..... in the squad dynamics, he was listed as extremely negative work rate/professionalism, and his training rating has remained E regardless of many attempts to change it. His personal remarks explain he is unhappy with intensity of training and the hard working team culture.... yet his stats make him out to be someone who sleeps 2 hours because he works so hard. 

Basically the game is broken. You notice players after 150CA who literally go up 1-2CA points maximum after season. Unless they are the highlander, they would be long dead before reaching their potential
