BREAKING NEWS

Wealdstone FC has this morning been put in to liquidation

The club, trading as Wealdstone Football Club PLC, entered administration in February 2015 It owed substantial amounts to Her Majesty's Revenue and Customs, who subsequently refused to allow Wealdstone to exit administration via a Company Voluntary Arrangement (CVA). Wealdstone Football Club PLC entered liquidation on 31 May 2015.

The refusal of the CVA forced the administrators to sell the business and assets of Wealdstone to a new company, operated by Miles Jacobson the Gibraltarian Millionaire. The other member clubs of the English League System refused to allow the new company to adopt the league membership of the old company. Jacobson then successfully applied for membership of The English Football League. After obtaining The English Football Association membership of the old company, Wealdstone (now trading as Gibraltar Villa Football Club Ltd) replaced Wealdstone in the Vanarama Conference South in time for the 2015-16 season.

So for the first time in the English League system a Gibraltarian team has been allowed to compete within the League system. They have replaced Wealdstone FC in the Vanarama Conference South.

Gibraltar Villa are a newly formed team and won't have long to get themselves prepared for the upcoming season.

So lets find out a little bit more about the new club. Gibraltar Villa are only allowed to play and sign players that are of Gibraltarian nationality. They play all of their games in the Gibraltarian National Football Stadium.

Let's have a look at the list of players we have been registered for their first season here in the Vanarama Conference South

As you can see they have only managed to secure a very young team of players that have released by the other clubs in Gibraltar for not being of a high enough standard (only 3 star PA)

They have also appointed a unknown Gibraltarian manager.

So how will they fair in their first season?

 Season 1 Episode 1

Of my Gibraltar Villa save here on Vibe Community

Introduction

Here is a quick overview of how the first 21 games have gone for the mighty Gibraltarians.

First we have a look at the fixtures an nice mix of friendliness to start us of and a good run in to start the season as well

Screenshot_2016-04-24-13-54-49.thumb.png

This is the formation I have opted for it may need a few tweeted through the season as the AP and IF don't always mix well

Screenshot_2016-04-24-14-30-53.thumb.png

The board are hoping  for us to attain a respectable league position. I have told then I will deliver a play of place :/Screenshot_2016-04-24-13-57-04.thumb.jpg

Key Games

Screenshot_2016-04-24-14-30-05.thumb.png

A very one sided game in what I thought might be a first challenge of the season. Who said this management lark was hard.

Screenshot_2016-04-24-14-51-18.thumb.png

Another stunning performance from the lads with Sale getting a hat-trick.

Screenshot_2016-04-24-15-11-11.thumb.png

We seem to be controlling the games very well and making the most of our chances even though we don't always have the more possession during the games.

Screenshot_2016-05-01-21-07-03.thumb.png

Bought back down to reality with this one just didn't really offer anything. Disappointing

Screenshot_2016-05-01-21-09-03.thumb.png

Another tough game sometime out lack of experience really costs us especially if we go 1-0 down need a plan B

Screenshot_2016-05-01-21-20-22.thumb.png

OK so we went 2-0 down in this match an I thought we was heading for another loss. I needed to change things up and this is what I came up with

Screenshot_2016-05-01-21-19-25.thumb.png

It won me the game.

Screenshot_2016-05-07-17-44-33.thumb.png

Back to winning ways and Sale missing out on another hat-trick however Edwards didn't.

Screenshot_2016-05-07-17-49-32.thumb.png

Ebbsfleet are going to be tough to catch but it's so close from 2nd to 9th

FA Cup

Screenshot_2016-05-01-20-16-20.thumb.png

A very good start to the FA cup campaign

Screenshot_2016-05-01-20-34-41.thumb.png

Another solid And controled performance for the lads

Screenshot_2016-05-01-21-03-52.thumb.png

How did we not win this one??!!

FA Trophy

Screenshot_2016-05-01-21-39-28.thumb.png

A comfortable win and through to the first round

Screenshot_2016-05-07-17-38-53.thumb.png

Took us 2 games to get the job done but we managed to scrap through in a very evenly fought game

Gibraltar National Team

Screenshot_2016-04-24-13-54-34.thumb.png

Just the 3 players named in the squad

Screenshot_2016-04-24-14-42-51.thumb.png

Unsurprising loss but a goal from Styche is a positive

Screenshot_2016-04-24-14-44-53.thumb.png

Another loss but another goal this time from Gosling

Screenshot_2016-05-01-20-26-25.thumb.png

They won a game and not just won it they thrashed Ireland 4-0

Screenshot_2016-05-01-20-35-32.thumb.png

OK the game is broke 0-0 against Germany these are definitely positive signs for the future of Gibraltarian football
