FIRST SIGNING OF THE CAREER

I decided to spend my full budget on John McGinn one of the hottest prospects in scottish football. 2 million is a good price for someone I see getting better and better with the right training.

Celtic controversially bring in Michael Laudrup as new manager. You'll know his brother Brian is deemed by the majority as Rangers fans as the best player to have ever played with Rangers. Lets hope his brother doesn't have the same level of success in Glasgow.

In my Concord save, Rangers signed Scott Brown after Celtic released him ??

RETURN OF FAMOUS EUROPEAN NIGHTS

One thing the supporters really miss right now is the huge european nights at Ibrox and I'm hoping I can be the man to deliver them every season. I did make the bold claim that I wanted to win both the Europa League and Champions League in my 10 seasons in charge.

We win our first knockout round tie against Villarreal with an impressive 8-3 aggregate score! Alfredo Morelos helping himself to a hattrick in both matches. He is in the form of his life and it's attracting the interest of top clubs worldwide, my job is to keep him here as long as he is happy.

You'll see Laudrup's Celtic got the better of me in his first old firm match but we still remain 10 points clear in the league with 11 games to go and remain in all competitions.

TREBLE WINNING HEROES

I'm pleased to announce Rangers as treble winners in my first season at the club. We won all domestic competitions at our disposal and made it to the second knockout round of the Europa League.

Keys to success :-

  • I mentioned I was looking for a real goalscorer and the poacher role was highly effective in this tactic, I rotated Morelos and Herrera and they scored 119 goals between them
  • Dorrans and Pena were rotated in the AP position and as a result contributed the most assists/goals out of all my midfielders

We played 6 old firm matches this season and won 4, drew 1 and lost 1. This is great to see as Celtic do have a better squad than us on paper - the icing on the cake was beating them on penalties in the cup final.

Next post we shall discuss my goals for the season ahead, some shock transfer news and how we can improve.

That's a brutal season... for Celtic :) Great to see Rangers dominate again. Can't wait to see what you've got in store for us next season.

TRANSFERS IN

Five players join us in the summer transfer window and in key positions for our side. We spend 5 million in total.

Barrie McKay

Barrie only left Rangers a year ago but hes seen as 'the one that got away' by Rangers fans after Pedro Caixinha sold him to Nottingham Forest. Can play on both wings and favours the winger role our formation uses.

Curtis Nelson

When searching for my ideal centre half, Curtis ticked all the boxes and was the only available player that matched the attributes I was looking for. At 25 his peak years are ahead of him.

Callum Smith

Never heard of this lad before but he has so much potential. 18 years old and joins from newly promoted Dunfermline. He can play on the left wing or as a striker and I plan on using him in the poacher role. He has a big future and could be one that stays with us for the full career.

James Meredith

James comes in to provide competition to Lee Wallace at left back. At 30 years old hes only got a few years left in him but has big numbers in key areas for his role. Similar to Curtis he was the best in his position available for the attributes selected.

Aaron Nemane

A familiar face, he was on loan from Man City last season and he impressed enough for us to sign him on a bosman. He has a lot of potential and I see us selling him on for a huge profit in the future.

PLAYERS OUT

We lose our three most experienced players with Bruno Alves, Niko Kranjcar and Kenny Miller all leaving the club. They are all over 35 and on the decline.

We somehow get 4 million for the very very average Andy Halliday. I even offered to drive him down to Bolton myself!

CHAMPIONS LEAGUE AWAITS

We qualify for the Champions League group stages at the first time of asking.

MONEY MONEY MONEY :)

Zrinjski were our first opponents and we won 4-1 on aggregate.

We fared even better against Molde in the next round winning 6-2 on aggregate.

Ajax was a tricky tie and I thought we were out after Mccrorie's red card in the first leg. Controversially we won 2-1 at home by scoring two penalties.

BAYERN

MAN CITY

INTER

Probably the toughest group we could have drawn but I'm excited to test my squad against the world best sides.

RETURN OF EUROPA

Given that we were placed in a tough tough group I'm pleased to finish 3rd and drop down to the Europa League. We more than held our own at this level, with 1 win, 4 draws and only 1 defeat.

We finish above Bayern! With Inter beating them on the last day to seal their spot and we held Man City to a 3-3 draw at the Etihad.

With January looming and huge interest from the premier league in our star striker Alfredo Morelos, it's going to be tough to turn down a rumoured 25 million, which would break the scottish transfer record.

We currently have 1 million in the bank so this sort of boost would help me to rejuvenate a ageing squad with young talent.

Very decent group stage results :D And if you do get a bid like that for Morelos, I'd probably take it. Help you strengthen the team in January for the Europa League.

FEBRUARY UPDATE - PART ONE

Betfred Cup Winners

We retained the Betfred Cup hammering Celtic 5-0 in the final.

Morelos Stays

We accepted a 25 million bid from Leicester for Alfredo although the move collapsed as a work permit fell through.

He is in sensational form at the moment so I can't say I'm gutted he's still here.

He even scored 7 goals in one match as we beat St Johnstone 9-1.

Loans Galore

In January we raid the premier league bringing in 3 loan signings. Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Cameron Brannigan and Jeff Adelaide.

FEBRUARY UPDATE - PART TWO

All set for 2 in a row

We are currently having an unbeaten domestic season which sees us a comfortable 16 points ahead of Celtic with 12 games to go in the league.

Pena departs for record fee

Carlos Pena has been sensational since his arrival at the club but I could not turn down 12 million for a 28 year old. The mexican lived up to his nickname in his homeland of Gullit. This breaks Rangers transfer record for highest fee received for a player. The previous was Alan Hutton who moved to Spurs in January 2008 for those general knowledge fans. This isn't the Scottish record which is Victor Wanyama who moved from Celtic to Spurs for 12.5 million in 2013.
