Career BTS Come to Besiktas (A One Season Strikerless Challenge)

Introduction

BTS is a famous Korean boy band. Most notably, they charted on the American Billboard Hot 100 with 'Mic Drop', making them one of the few Asian acts to do so. Besiktas is one of the 'Big Three' football clubs in Turkey, and go into this season as two-time defending champions. In Europe, they have had some success too, topping a Champions League group that also included Porto, Red Bull Leipzig and Monaco. Off the pitch, they are known for the 'Come to Besiktas' meme. 

So how will BTS come to Besiktas?

Bruno Henrique has devastating combination of technique, physical ability, mental strength and shooting.

Already at the club, Talisca has scored 22 goals in just 44 appearances for Besiktas. More of the same will be expected in FMM, where he is also great.

An open secret in FMM, Scarpa will provide valuable service to his taller BTS teammates. 

Formation

We hope to get the most out of our Brazilian trio with this liberal 4-3-3 strikerless formation.

K-League players will potentially provide the South Korean flair.

The next update shall be a full-season update, with transfers, league and cup performance and most importantly, our BTS's performance.

Nothing spectacular so far, but Treq does suit his skill set.

This is my first challenge and expectations are modest, but I am aiming for 200 points from this lot. I aim to update on Saturday morning (UK time).

One thing is certain: Once you come to Besiktas and the Super League, you will never want to leave!

I used Scarpa and he was great for me, although picked up some niggling injuries.

Talisca is amazing with the right training too and has done well in the Shadow Striker for me.

 Update time

So the 2017-18 season has ended: How did our Brazilian boy band get on?

Bruno almost became the top scorer in my FMM history, but 35 points is a decent total. And hey ho, he got capped by Brazil too! (27 + 8 = 35)

Going on to someone called up by Brazil IRL, surely Talisca could eclipse Bruno's score.

Well, that didn't happen, as injuries proved to be Talisca's undoing as he missed most of the run-in, but 23 points from just 32 games remains laudable. (18 + 5 = 23)

Scarpa might not be a goalscorer, but there are few better at assisting than the Super League Player of the Year. (10 + 15 = 25)

At this point, BTS are a bit disappointing, contributing just 83 points. Can our league form save this attempt?

Yep, we ran away with the league, posting 26 wins and 4 draws for 82 points. Bit of a mini-Mourinho as we concede just 15 despite an expansive tactic, compensating for a miserly 60 scored. 

82 + 45 = 127

Total: 83 + 127 = 210

Ah well, despite the disappointing score, I enjoyed this career a lot and it went by quickly. Inexperience in goalscoring challenges and a preference for a variant of the defensively solid 4-3-2-1 meant I was never going to break the OME. On the other hand, this has proven to be a solid enough tactic - to conquer the league at least.

Could not get rid of Negredo, even on loan, but Cyle Larin, Vagner Love, Mustafa Pektemek and Ryan Babel were all sold as part of the rules.

Weakening our rivals went more smoothly, with the capture of Guiliano in January the pick of the bunch.

Cups

Awful performances in the Cups, though the Turkish Cup provided some respite - and comedy too.
