Help How do you regain respect from players?

So apparently one of my star players decided that he hates me for absolutely no reason at all and wants to be transfer listed (although I'm refusing any offer for him anyway) and generally the respect my squad has for me has decreased. How can I fix this?

Are you able to offer him a new contract? That usually takes unhappiness away.

Sell him and then buy back

I find it If you just keep winning and bring in better players the mood can change, otherwise like Danish said you sometimes have to simply sell him, and then if you really need him try and buy back, but there is probably 2/3 players out there who could fill his role even better
