Chat Is 3 defenders op?

I have a friend said that 3 defenders formation is just too good. Never tried it before and i have a feeling a lot of u guys have tried. On a scale from 1-10 how would u rate this and how can i counter this formation like 5321 or 3421 formation?

Haha yeah, I don’t often use real underdogs so I won’t really care much unless you’re planning to use sunday league club in the Prem like @geordiekrispy is doing right now.

I’ve struggled with 3 at the back this year. Have tried variations of 532 (i.e. 3 at the back with WB / IWBs) and 5221 / 5212 variations. Haven’t had success, the passing options in the match engine weren’t working as I expected.

instead I’ve had more success with easy 4231s and 41221 / 4141s. 

Am trying another save with variations of 532 but isn’t going well.

Edit - am about to try a 3142 / 3412, which I’ve had past success with. Very good offensively and down the middle. Sometimes struggled with the opposition playing long balls down the wings, and as a result their strikers getting corners from that position (which can lead to am annoying 89th minute opposition equaliser). Let’s see.

A 5321 would be difficult to counter, as they have an extra man! Guess you meant a 5221 ... ?
