Chat Proof that FMM2022 is heavily scripted

Just a fun editor-enabled save for naughty things. But this outcome really made me think again about the question "Is the game scripted?". It indeed is. If you disagree, give me a nice explanation about why Calvert-Lewin and Rudiger all got a red and injury respectively, and all at the same time, in every save-load. I'm fine with losing, I even got relegated once with my Derby save, but knowing the fact that the game itself decides when our players is injured or get sent off is frustrating.

The game is definitely not scripted. I save reload to test my tactics and the matches are always different.

Believe it or not, I runed thrice and only the fourth try gave me a different start. Not only red card+ disallowed goal, same players involved also!!! I wouldn’t say scripted, but there are definitively some triggers. All in all, I find AI a bit more realistic so far (3d season)

Gave it six more tries. Didn’t reproduce the pattern. I’m now starting to doubt my own eyes 😂

Happened again. You know, I’m bit stubborn, couldn’t mistrust my eyes. 
Same save. 
Run three times. 4-0, 3-0, 3-0. Second half changes with the same players, almost same time. 
This is confusing.

My biggest guess, holidaying is indeed scripted to speed up the simulation. Wouldn't say the whole game is, I don't really know, but one thing for sure, holidaying is scripted.

Could also be that doing the save-load you're interrupting the game and when you restart it could pick up some of the old script. I remember my game crashed once in mid game, when I restarted it said there was a error.

The results from ‘holidaying’ definitely seem scripted (or pre-determined). I tested with my current save, where I went on holiday just before a game, checked the result and then reloaded. I reloaded the game 20 times and the result each time was one of the same 3:

I found that it didn’t matter if I fully quit the game before reloaded or not.

However, I found I was able to ‘replace’ the 3-1 loss in the results “pool” by saving the game again (without making any changes). This new result then replaced the 3-1 loss in the “pool”:

I tried reloading the game over and over and it just came back with this new 3-0 win or the 2-0 and 1-0 wins from before. 

Note: the one I feel sorry for is Roarie Deacon, the poor dude gets injured no matter what the result 😂

I also played the same match manually a few times and got a different result each time (sometimes the same score line but different scorers/timings) and their player didn’t get injured once.

Yeah, I think the purpose is to reduce the workload for the CPU to process through the day(s) faster.

I remember @Marc Vaughan once explaining something about how the random numbers generator works in-game. It's supposed to prevent 'scripted events' from turning up, but sometimes it can happen (bug?) that following the same path through every re-load prevents that generator from running correctly, leading to the same outcome every time.

Not sure if that's what's happening here, but back then it meant that re-loading the same save many times, always following the same path (e.g. going from team page to tactics), led to the same player getting ijured over and over again.

The game is not really scripted, but it's a numbers' game, right? ;)
