Career 1k goals with Moody Mathys - Done ✅

I was testing my 1k+ tactic to see how it went and decided to make it into a career. 
 

No originality:

I liked the look of Tel but as he’s already on £66k a week as soon as you sign him he’s on more than that and that makes his professionalism go right down and he’s ‘moody’ and lazy. 
A hell of a lot of positive traits though so I reckon I can turn him into a man. 
 

Hes not cheap and I spent most of my money on him but look at this…

Finally a youngster who can take penalties and free kicks. And very rarely injured? Take my money. 
 

I sold anyone I could cash in on and bought a few key players including the full set of free German wonderkids (Collins, Ouedrago and Nkili)

 

Season 1:

The league was as expected with us dominating. Not so much luck in Europe.

A good foundation.

Tel was looking good after just one year but there’s room for improvement.

74 goals is good but we’re going to need to hit some big numbers from the off if we want to get to 2-3k goals. 
 

Harsh indeed.

Season 2:

More of the same here. Some nice improvements from Tel. Still as unprofessional as you like but hit 100 goals so that’s a good return. 

 

Walked the League but that 1 loss annoyed me.

A better run in Europe but we’re better than that. 
 

Sold some more fringe players and bought more key players for my system. RB, BWM, and a young left winger with 20 pace and bags of potential. 
 

Assists coming from my wide players as is the norm with these challenges.

Season 3:

A rollercoaster of a season. Tel is looking like an absolute beast now and is still improving. His had down red arrow for loyalty but I’d got his professionalism and work rate high green. The loyalty thing meant that he just wasn’t interested in signing a new contract and he was intent on running it down with it expiring in the summer. 
This is all I got from him for months. 

 

6 big clubs interested but luckily no one made an offer. 
His last match for the club was looking to be the CL final. Let’s see if he gives the fans a good send off…

What a guy. Is there light at the end of the tunnel?

Why buy the player when you can buy the club? He clearly impressed someone!

With £139m in the bank suddenly we had one last chance to get him to sign a contract before his contract expires next week…

And all it took was £275k/week! He signed!!

Professionalism took a knock but not red. And his loyalty is up now. The kid has a bright future after all. 

Oh and 135 goals scored. That’ll do pig, that’ll do. 
 

So we continue this journey together.
 

A great season all round.  

A couple of good offers came in so we moved a few players around.

Veloso was signed at the end of the season after we were bought out. He looks a class act for next year. 20 crossing should do nicely. 
I had an offer of £65m for o’Riley so tried a cheeky bid for an unsettled Moriba and they accepted £15 plus o’Riley. A steal.

Season 4:

Best season so far 

He’s stopped improving now. Ideally I’d want better stamina, decisions, and shooting but I’ll take 20 aerial and 19 movement.

143 goals is a good return but I want to clear 150.

Oh and I don’t like international management so this will be club goals only  

Won everything apart from CWC despite the fact that 8 first team players were away for the CL semi final.

The day after we won the CL for the second year on a row, 3 first teams players say they want to leave to play CL football…

Anyway…

Transfers:

 

We let a couple of players with low morale leave and as we’re rich now I spent big to get some key players in.

Season 5:

Another good season but yet to clear 150 goals. I changed his role and he seemed to do better but was injured a little so missed a few matches.

De Jong was the big signing but he didn’t perform that well.

This is crazy. I thought I was alright until I started reading these careers 😆 This guy looks like what I need for my tactic penalties, free kicks, good aerial for corners. Still wouldn't even come close to these numbers

Season 6:

Massive season here.  Updated the game mid way through and did notice a slight drop of goals but still averaged over 3 per game. I’ve got a feeling next year will be tougher.

Anyway 171 goals will do…

No surprise with these boys on the wings…

Wingbacks get 14 or so assists each the way I play too, but the majority comes from these boys. 

Clean sweep again despite a close shave in the CL quarter final with Bayern. 
 

 

Transfers:

Throwing money around like it’s nothing now while fine tuning the squad. 

Spent all that cash and my best signing was Tonali on a free. 
 

 

Me:

No international experience is now a negative but I’m keeping it that way. I don’t like Int management.

Yeah updated halfway through the last season. I find that now there are more games where he’ll just score 1 instead of 2/3 every game due to the corner exploit  being patched slightly but that’s all good. It was a very generous corner tactic! I only use it in this challenges not in normal play anyway.

Absolutely killing it.

 

I was getting right into my update until the latest patch came out.

Dunno what they have done but since it came out I've only played about 10 games and the most I've scored in that is 2 goals with Endrick.

My crosses per game have seriously dipped.

Was probably averaging about 50-60, now its down to about 20-30.

Crosses completed before were probably 25-30 now I am lucky if I hit 5.

 

I'll have to go back to the drawing board with it.

 

But you are firing on all cylinders now, outstanding numbers.

Season 8

As we were close to 1k I just wanted to get this one done.

Sped through the season instead of managing him properly so ended on just 129 goals but that took us to 1041. Earlier in the challenge I considered keeping this one going to see how many goals I could get out of him but Tel is an a-hole so I’m out 😂 

And I went in a blaze of glory declaring my interest in the Rangers job for the lols.

We’re also expecting a baby on Thursday so I wanted to have a chilled Spurs save up and running for the sleep deprived days and nights 😂
