You've seen who Redknapp has signed. You know that Payet is on his way out. How is he going to get on this season?

Tactics...

TacticOne.thumb.PNG.962600dc5dc469b9169123a541937e1f.PNG

TacticOneIns.thumb.PNG.e8788d4651ef2fa1e2654fc9bd0e5ba0.PNG

A standard 4-4-2, everyone knows that Redknapp loves a Target Man and Poacher. Two banks of four and a long passing style to aid the Target Man.

TacticTwo.thumb.PNG.976f7975fe0bd69633dc265a6af6e2b2.PNGTacticTwoIns.thumb.PNG.302a535bebd906b65a795a37f8ade7c5.PNG

A more possession based tactic with two Inside Forwards and a Poacher up top. A mixed passing style on a Balanced Team Mentality. This is the target I am likely to use Away or when Carrol is injured (majority of the time).

Start of the season...

PremTable.thumb.PNG.89282ba386779c9e14b5eb17df413831.PNG

Not the best start for Redknapp, 4 points from a possible 12. Hopefully the team start to pick up some form.

WestHamTottenham.thumb.PNG.6665dc7590277569703c25dff25307d5.PNG

Harry's first game against a former club came in the form of Tottenham Hotspur. Equipped with the unstoppable Harry Kane, Spurs blew West Ham away.

WestHamVWatford.thumb.PNG.8a6ea2176b2d9f598a7b923a473f6878.PNG

Looking for his first win in the Premier League since re-joining West Ham, Redknapp's side were involved in a epic 5 goal thriller. After going behind and then leading in the match, Andy Carroll scored the winner for the hammers handing them the 3 points.

Europa League...

58b18bf04aba6_EuropaLeague.thumb.PNG.807938c2ed6001dfe334486258fbd996.PNG

You may have seen from the fixture list, West Ham have qualified for the Europa League group stage. Redknapp has expressed his excitement of the draw and looks forward to the challenge of Ajax.

58b18fcf4e1bf_CARROLLDEFOE.thumb.png.ecf0b53d374eef1860f27357b791fa7e.png

Everyone knows Redknapp loves a Target Man and a Poacher. In his current West Ham United team, he has Andy Carroll and Jermain Defoe. Redknapp made the partnership of Peter Crouch and Jermain Defoe whilst at Spurs and Portsmouth. Can this duo prove as effective?

Andy Carroll...

AndyCarrollProfile.thumb.PNG.ed2796b89dfc7a90265ba94e20ba8040.PNG

CarrollHistory.thumb.PNG.b1ef2bad3ea88d097f5e42bc48b46668.PNG

Carroll can be a real handful for any defence, but we all know his injury problems keep him from actually playing most of the time. Fortunately for Redknapp Carroll has been relatively fit this season, only have a knock which kept him out for a week.

Playing 7 times this season already Carroll has been West Ham's most effective striker scoring 4 times. The long ball style of play seems to be benefiting Carroll's game. However, is Carroll's good fortune benefiting Defoe?

Jermain Defoe...

DefoeProfile.thumb.PNG.c970b2bd4c76e881a0a1322687b7c332.PNG

DefoeHistory.thumb.PNG.4b668375256270ef73055446dbf9b0a6.PNG

The answer to the question above is, not really, no... Defoe form hasn't been the best so far this season, playing 9 times and scoring once. Defoe has been given the responsibility of taking penalties and has missed 2 from 2 this term. Redknapp fully expects Defoe to fire into form soon and go on a scoring frenzy for the Hammers.

Curse of the commentator (my last post).

Redknapp: "Andy (Carroll) has damaged his shoulder in training. Thankfully it's not as bad as first feared. He will be out for about a month, but we know we have to get him fit before he gets back in the side. He's a major part to the way we play, so we will miss him, however other players will have to step up".

FEATURED MATCH....

ARSENAL .VS. WEST HAM UNITED
BARCLAYS PREMIER LEAGUE

Arsenal hosted Harry Redknapp's West Ham United in the Premier League. Arsene Wenger is severely under pressure here at the Emirates with his side sitting bottom of the Premier League after this result. The banner boys come out with their 'Wenger Out' sings, it might not be long until their prayers are answered.

Superb performances came from Pedro Obiang and Andre Ayew who both got on the scoresheet today. West Ham took a direct game to Arsenal and really played to there weaknesses. Harry Redknapp seems to have made this West Ham United side a real force.

Redknapp seems to have changed the formation slightly to get the best out of his midfield players. Mark Noble has been performing very well in the midfield, along with Pedro Obiang and Havard Nordtveit. Jermain Defoe has become a lone striker as a result of Andy Carrol's injury woes.

West Ham United hosted Sunderland in the EFL Cup. Following a 2-0 league defeat West Ham wanted revenge against David Moyes' side. The game finished 0-0 after 90 minutes, but kicked into gear in extra time. Jermain Defoe scored against his former employers, whilst Fabio Borini equalised. West Ham's Argentine forward Jonathan Calleri came on to score the winner for the Hammers.

Ajax in the Europa League...

West Ham faced a difficult challenge in Amsterdam against dutch giants Ajax. Redknapp's team put in a great performance despite the result, equalising twice through Andre Ayew and Jermain Defoe. However it was Chelsea youngster Bertrand Traore who took the 3 points for Ajax., scoring the winner.

AjaxHome.thumb.PNG.7065e56f9b67f8f6727778fc4e9ea03d.PNG

West Ham United wanted revenge following their loss in Amsterdam in October. They welcomed Ajax to a sold out London Stadium for its biggest European tie since the Hammers moved there. Ajax took the lead through youth graduate Davy Klaassen. West Ham pushed players forward and went more direct, equalising with Sofiane Feghouli. The Hammers were then awarded a 'dubious' penalty on the 83rd minute when Jermain Defoe went down in the box. Defoe was the player to step up and put the ball into the bottom corner of the net.
