Yes, it's remarkable the amount of goals that i can get from my veteran with this tactic though it is not a good one in terms of drying up opposition goals. But since scoring goals is the main motto here, i am not too worried about losing trophies as long as it does not cost me my job and i also want to move to another league before this gets wrapped up as i fancy a bit of journeyman

Thanks mate. Haller took to training like fish to water and even with normal training, his attribute rise was herculean, especially his aerial which Vardy needed intensive training to achieve. So, i doubt Simeone can achieve those numbers but he will give good return hopefully.

Again brought in some pretty expensive talents in Gnanduillet and Gomes to bring pace to our wings.

Season Performance

Another dismal season. We are pretty dependent on our veteran striker to score goals every season and so when he messes up, we get screwed and that is what happened as Simeone missed a bucketload of easy chances to score otherwise he was on target to break Haller's haul. We ticked off two more trophies though with the European Super Cup and Club World Championship.

The usual award domination. Gnanduillet winning the African Footballer of the Year was the big one. He has now won it twice in a row and playing for two different clubs as well.

He missed loads of goals but still manages 50 just about to stop me from getting a heart attack.

After being saddled with lot of work at the office and trying my hand at some side challenges which failed miserably, i am finally back to my trusted veterans to give me a smile. So, let us see:

Sanchez and Pereira retired so we  brought in Ojamaa and Worrall as direct replacement for them. Others were squad strengthening.

 

Season Performance

Conceding too many for my liking. We snapped up our remaining trophy in England, Carabao Cup though while for the first time we got knocked out of the group stages of Champions League and knocked ourselves out of the Europa semis as well.

Pereira retired before the start of the season but look at his history. A certified legend who helped the club become a regular top 4 fixture and a big team with his creative midfield displays.

Absolutely brilliant. Right off the bat with 24 goals and 24 assists.

He brings us down by hitting only 40 and missing our seasonal target by 10 goals. Pathetic. I really need to step up next season.

Excellent work mate, amazing how you manage to get so many goals out of a different type of forward each season, never mind the ages of them.

Thanks. Yes, this is a really innovative challenge where you get to use so many different strikers. I will keep this open till another 3 guesses after which i will reveal the answer.

The next great Nigerian hope who has been compared to that of Rashidi Yekini, Nigeria's all-time highest goalscorer.

He was rotting with Accrington in League 1 until i loaned him out and put him straight to Premier League. Let's see how he performs.

Yes, the lesser we hit from 50, the more this save runs which i am not too fond of but 50 from here on will be tough unless we land a gem which has eluded us from the last 2 seasons, either through retirements or through refusals.

Forgot the transfers screen but the only major news was letting Trent Alexander Arnold go for free as he was not living up to his potential and becoming too injury prone.

Lost our final two league matches otherwise the league was ours for the taking.

Worrall gets one less assist than last season in the league while Awoniyi goes a little better than Fernandez.

 

Cup Runs

The Carabao Cup was a close affair with Awoniyi playing out of his skin but the usual stoppage time goal plotted our downfall. The FA Cup final was a poor match though but we triumphed even after going down to ten in the 82nd minute.

Some strong performances in the Champions League. Enjoyed beating our old nemesis Juventus 3 times in the CL this season.

Some great greens in the physicals. That 20 pace will be useful going forward. 9 less goals this time around but gets almost the same no. of assists.

 

Main Man

Wow, no change in attributes. Just lost a point of pace but no change in aerials or shooting at all. Unbelievably consistent.

Just marginally ahead of last season with 43 goals. Did not have much expectations from him so a decent return.

Almost a clean sweep as we won everything except Carabao Cup. It was like Keegan's entertainers as we hit 100 but also conceded a humongous 61.

Pedro takes the pole position to continue our long run but look at Gnanduillet, what a player. He hits 22 to come second. Worrall loses his assist king title for the first time.

Pedro announced his arrival with 4 goals against Chelsea in the season opening Community Shield while the Carabao Cup was a disaster as Southampton drew 3-3 before beating us on shootout.

We blazed through the Champions League. 7-0 in the home leg against OL, 8-4 over two legs against Ajax, a comprehensive win against Real Madrid before decimating Porto 3-0.

Gnanduillet wins Players Player of the Year as well as African Footballer of the Year.

Now what did he do to deserve the awards??

With 28 goals and 20 assists, he stepped up this season.

He performed again playing 5 less games than last season but getting 26 assists.

He scored his 50th goal in the final of the Champions League . He could have scored more if he had not missed around 2 months of action.
