Career Big Al takes on ‘Chelsea’s Bad Eggs!’

@1759 posted this challenge, just as I was in need of some inspiration, for my next save 😁

I’ve quickly realised on Vibe that goalscoring challenges aren’t my thing. I’m much more suited to this sort of challenge, that involves creating a successful side, rather than focusing on an individual. 

Let’s start my showing you my squad on day one, at Chelsea. 

Ok so I’ve indentified the bad eggs 🍳 

Hazard 🇧🇪 

Higuain 🇦🇷 

Kante 🇫🇷 

Kovacic 🇭🇷 

Willian 🇧🇷 

Jorginho 🇧🇷 

Pedro 🇪🇸 

Alonso (yassssss!) 🇪🇸 

As you will see, the bad eggs have all been sold. Higuain and Kovacic were on loan so had their deals terminated. 

Hazard finally gets his wish moving to Real. 

Not sure how I feel about Kante and Willian moving to Man U, but I wanted them out the door ASAP. 

NEW ARRIVALS 

Sako and Greenwood were costly as neither club wanted to sell. I couldn’t not sign those guys though, as they are integral to my plans, formation wise. 

Let’s look at the individual profiles. 

SAKO 

This lad looks insane for a 16 year old. A pace demon, who is incredibly versatile. 

Hopefully he can pick up many goals/assists and carry the side, whilst others improve around him. 

GREENWOOD

Needs no introduction, but I’ll give him one anyway. Recently made his debut against Bayern in real life, has the potential to be a quality poacher for my young Chelsea side. 

ROGERS 

Rogers is another versatile player. I plan on using him as a shadow striker, his favoured role. Should I wish to switch up my tactic, he can also operate as a striker, or on either wing. Youngest player at 15.

WOOD

I’ve never managed Wood, but heard a few of you on Vibe, raving about him.

It might seem strange to use a CB in this sort of challenge, but I can hopefully utilise his strong aerial presence, and get some goals from corners. 

LAIRD / DRAMEH

These two will be my first choice wingbacks. Hopefully they can provide us with some assists. 

MIGHTON

Alex Mighton is our other winger. Whilst not as developed as Sako, I feel with the right training, he can develop into just as good a player. 

MUMBA 

Mumba has some good all round stats. Time for me to mould him into a star. 

THE LEFTOVERS

You will see I’ve promoted all the Chelsea reserves into the first team. I want to use as many of them as possible. 

If you do the math, 8 youngsters means we require 3 others in the first team. 

Kepa stays in goal, Loftus-Cheek in midfield and captain Cahill at the back. 

The other squad players will be used as and when required, I didn’t want to sell all of them and end up not being able to field a side due to injuries.

There’s actually a limited number of under 17 English players, the top clubs are more interested in buying ready made talent 😂

I’m interested to see how we perform, few of the older squad are unhappy, so you blame them? Go from playing with Hazard to a 15 year old schoolboy.

I was originally going to make it under 16’s but when I loaded it up and looked there wasn’t too many available.😂

You’ll probably have to hit the ground running to get the players on your side.😀

Yeah I was just thinking before that the way youth players fitness has been hit on the winter update might make this much trickier. I’ll give it a go myself once I’m finished my Queen’s Park career and whatever score I get even if it’s shite I’ll put it up.😀

Yeah I experienced so many injuries, caused by overplaying my youngsters. 

By resting them, it would spoil the challenge as they wouldn’t have played as much games. This would translate to less goals/assists. 

I’ve learned that after the winter update, you need a large squad. In my current Rangers save I basically have two 11’s, rotating them every 2/3 games.
