Challenge 14 : Birth Of Football

Birth of Football

The contemporary history of the world's favourite game spans more than 100 years. It all began in 1863 in England, when rugby football and association football branched off on their different courses and the FootballAssociation in England was formed - becoming the sport's first governing body.

Challenge : Return to where it all started. Join an English club if you are not in one, or quit your current English club and took over another English club. Try your best in the league in one season.

Challenge 14 is just about settling into a new team, and getting the team ready for the final 2 challenges. In case you missed it, the final team for the challenge will be Arsenal. A team I quite like although I'm a Man City fan, partially because of their current manager, and their home color too. Let's see how we do in the first season in London.

101 goals scored, a terrible defensive results (as always), and 4 points behind Everton the monster I created. 2nd in the league, and 8 points for this round. Gutted for missing the 10 points, but still a decent result in our first season here.

What a feeling it is, winning the Carabao Cup beating our fellow rivals Spurs. So freaking close from losing it though, as Tottenham scored at the 90+5' to bring the match into Extra time, and at the 120th minute as well bringing it to penalty shootout. 

Easy opponent in the FA Cup final, and no pressure winning it.

Get into the final of the Conference League easily, but defeated by Barcelona by penalty. 2 trophies this season then.

Team Performace

Messi's regen Marcus Cocca didn't have a good time after leaving Everton and returned to England scoring 29 goals and 13 assists in his first season in Arsenal.

And here's another guy from the All-American squad in Everton, Luis Suarez's regen Luis Cabaco scoring 42 goals for the team.

Challenge 15 : World Wars

AD1901 - AD2000 (20th century)

 

World Wars

The 20th century witness two modern days wars, World War I and II, where in WW2, we had seen the war between the Allies and the Axis.

Challenge : Choose a side, the Allies (UK, USA, China, Russia) or the Axis (German, Italian, Japanese). Name 3 players for the side you had chosen. Get goals from them in one season.

Points :

0-25 goals / 2 points

26-50 goals / 4 points

51-75 goals / 6 points

76-100 goals / 8 points

>101 goals / 10 points

Another goal scoring challenge, this time with 3 attackers from either the Allies (UK, USA, China, Russia) or the Axis (German, Italian, Japanese).  The side I will be choosing for this challenge will be the Allies, and since the Chinese league was loaded in this save, there's a few quality Chinese regens, and this chosen Chinese striker looks more than decent.

Accompanying him will be a former Everton player, representing UK.

And last but not least, the Russian representative.

Alexandr Golovin's regen and already in the squad last season.

Results

9-0 win against Liverpool with the Russian scoring 4, now that's something interesting.

7-3 win against now Serie A giants Bologna with the English scoring 6!

The Chinese got his "goals galore" moment as well, scoring 4 against Manchester United in a 6-2 win.

First league title won with Arsenal, 100 points and 131 goals scored.

Not that strong in the other competitions though, losing in both the CWC and UCL final (both against Everton).

Let's see how the trio performed.

The Russian

27 goals and 20 assists for the Russian.

The English

Missed 4 months due to injuries but still a consistent scorer with 33 goals in 39 games. 60 goals so far, needed at least 41 from the Chinese to hit 10 points.

The Chinese

He's did way better than expected with 57 goals in 46 appearances, giving a total of 117 goals from the trio! 10 points!

Challenge 16 : Technology Era

Technology Era

The century we are currently living in, the century where we witness rapid development in technology, with the invention of Social Media, Internet and AI technology. 

Challenge : Experience the ability of AI. Simply let the in game AI managed your transfers. Clear your shortlist, and go on a holiday from the open of the transfer window to the day before your first league match. Let your AI Assistant manage all your transfers, you must not made any transfer. Get an AvR as high as possible with the player your AI bought with the highest transfer fee. Use a player from your reserves if your AI did not buy any.

7.01-8.00 / 6 pts

8.01-9.00 / 8 pts

9.01-10.00 / 10 pts

Another weird challenge, let the AI handle the transfers and get a high AvR with the top transfer. Let's hope that the AI Assistant Manager is smart enough.

Obviously the AI Assistant Manager wasn't that intelligent, selling Messi's regen for 123 million and the top transfer worth only 250k 😂 Can this Hummels be as good as Mats Hummels though?

Damn, he's a 18 years old GK, very difficult to hit a nice AvR then.

The team do quite well in the league though, winning the league again, but with fewer points, fewer goals scored and more goals conceded. Losing in the Europa League final, making it a 3rd consecutive season losing in a European final.

So how did the "top transfer" did?

Very little improvement.

And a horrible goalkeeping performance from him, 50 goals conceded in 20 games played, achieving an AvR of 6.30, giving me only 4 points in the final challenge. Can't afford to play him for more than 20 games as he's just terrible.

Team Performance

It's Rob Tillson's (the English striker from last season) time to shine, with 40 goals in 43.

The Russian from last season did well, with 21 goals and 12 assists.

22 goals from 31 games from the Chinese, he's not the first choice striker this season due to some injuries early in the season.

And it's this young German playing while the Chinese was absent, scored 26 goals from 38 games.

Final Manager Profile

3 20's and 1 almost 20, with a poor Domestic Player Bias and Discipline (never get a score more than 10). Lots of goals conceded. 😂

With Challenge 16 completed, that marked the end of this 16-seasons challenge. 120 points achieved from a possible 158, an average of 7.5 points each round. Not a very good result obviously, but this career had been very interesting and sometimes challenging for me, been able to try some different challenges, from the usual goals challenge, to defensive challenge, and even playing with defenders upfront. 😂 Always love to see how my former teams do in the same career. I remember making Bayer Leverkusen an absolute powerhouse, even going so far as to buy extra worldies for squad depth and enabling pretty much any formation for the new manager just before I resigned, and they destroyed me a season later vs my new team 😂

That's why I always avoid joining a club from the same league just after leaving one, you never know how the other teams see your team until you face them yourselves 😂
