Before the update it was the most successful tactic that I had used, update has ruined it, wouldn't bother using it now mate

This formation (before the update) was really interesting - I feel it either (a) exploited the match engine, or (b) exploited the opposition’s formations a bit in open play - which made it quite unique.

The screenshot below shows how both Wingers drift inside to make 4 central attackers - with the 2 wingers slightly deeper than the 2 AFs.

Against the EPL’s most common formation (an opposition 4231 DM) - when your RP had time to move forward, that became almost a front 5 … with the RP sitting centrally + your DLP sitting COMPLETELY FREE in huge space, inviting the opposition DMCs to push up, creating more space for your front 5.

… you’ll also notice how the opposition DMCs are ‘confused’ - trying to move wider to mark your Wingers (who’ve drifted inside) + leaving your RP + DLP completely free in the middle.

Note - this was all using this tactic’s tweaks, with Crystal Palace’s starting squad, though I used the editor so all players have ‘natural’ familiarity in their starting positions.

Pre or post update? You are probably doing something wrong. AM should stomp with any tactic basically.

Damn i installed this game yesterday so i got it with that update in

Been struggling for a while since the update, lack of goals and very leaky. But for the last 3 games i turned offside trap off and suddenly all my players are like messi. Those 2 goals conceeded were bs penalties too

the original one with offside trap OFF or the tweaked one ?

can you post other results too if you continue.

Its the tweaked one, im 7 games into the next season and so far 7 games 5 wins and 2 draws. I'll progress it further and post some more results

tweaked version with offside trap turned OFF, works well, slightly disappointed with the amount of goals conceded but that will get better with better players

Finished the second season, safe to say i think it works pretty well. I also turned the passing focus to mixed, as i had a great quality RP and wanted to utilise him more, he then provided 27 assists for the season. 

 

 

I'll continue to test in various leagues and teams as i accept that the Irish league isnt what you'd call massively competetive 

Also managed to get into the champions league group stages somehow. Getting spanked on the regular now 😂😂

Yeah to be fair against Madrid was a decent performance. But against united it was lucky to only be 2, could've been loads more. But both teams didnt play their entire first team, they did a lot of rotation

This has worked wonders for me with Wrexham, successive promotions to the Championship with little investment into the squad needed

Found switching the CM’s to RP & BWM worked well, Jordan Davies got me 20 goals in League One from RP!

This strat actually helped my Hull City from getting relegated back into skybet championship in 2nd season i managed. Had a very awful start, 0 win until I started to used this tactics after 2nd transfer window on january. Made a few transfer to fix my club depth and managed to defend and get draws vs bigger clubs (chealsea/ManU/ManC). Mix of win and lose against mid placement teams and won over bottom 5 team. Going to start my 3rd season.
