This brings back memories lads, just finally downloaded it after about an hour of faffing about. On MAC, forgot just how great this game is!

Actually puts FM 23 mobile right down, this game it over 20 years old! Will get a picture of a player I always used to buy, garry hunter! What a guy....! Worth 2k 😄

Haha, what a player he was on the game! Tried that, ovs wouldn't come to morecambe. I lost count of how many greats there is on here

Started with my home town club. This is pretty much bang on, we was losing just over a million quid a month, that's before wages. Managed to sign few players from morecambe at peanut prices. Going to be fun this save, to actually try and keep them afloat as well as keeping us in the PL

Team is actually half decent atm! Lucus Radebe (Club legend) lets not talk about injury prone Seth Johnson. Big Dom Matteo (actually met him, lovely guy, had a cancer battle few years ago, still goes to Leeds games) David waste of space Batty. story for you here. couldn't play football, we were absolutely struggling (I think he was on £42,000 a week and wouldn't leave us. so we put him in the reserves till he retired. Alan Smith, was a gem for us, rest is history for him. Always wanted to see him in a Leeds United shirt again, but wasn't to be. A young Frazer Richardson, along with free kick specialist Ian Harte. The boat is sinking very fast, so will be expecting half the team to go. Ovs got a lot of youngsters. Milner, Lennon, Carson, mcPhail

looks like Harte is the 1st to leave us. 3.9 mill which is peanuts. Think I have around 6 lads aged between 16-19 in around the 1st team. If Bridges can stay fit, we have a fighting chance.

Loving this game, just lost matteo to arsenal, smithy is injured, older players moaning lack of squad. Well hang on a min. We're into out eyeballs in debt, got a 18 year old Henry mcstay having in debut

Got 2 weeks off from work, so will solely concentrate on this. If you guys want to follow that would be ace. Will show just how much money were losing a month

Any recommendations for tactics? Currently I've set this up, working to a degree. Still I'm not moaning at 7th in the table as it stands. But leaking goals every game

Managed to find this off youtube, if I remember rightly it's a insane tactic. Not that I think it will help, but every little helps. Will see how I get on with this

I played CM0102 a few months back - after re-reading Iain MacIntosh’s legendary Everton save in that game.

So listened to one lad on here, I forgot just how good supat is! Not to chabby, win 1 lose 1 so long as we stay up. Managed to sell decent amount of money, but still losing out. Couple loans in, Jaime from deportivo, Huth from Chelsea, duscher from deportivo

Arghhhh the saves crashed on me! Going to have to reinstall it. Decided once that's done. To challenge myself with the mighty dons! No no, not MK dons.... the wobbles! I love the fact they were a small team that something special over the years in the PL, think they beat Liverpool in the FA Cup final in 1988 if I recall? Dirty team but what a horrible way to go out of business. Heard the fans were bonkers! 

 

Going to be 1 hell of a challenge as I know 03/04 they went out of business. More in debt then us! Lets do this

Quick Update

Vinnie gets manager of the month, 3 wins and 1 draw. Maybe the players respect him. Reo-Coker has left Wimbledon for 875k to Espanyol. With no transfers coming in, Vinnie has resorted to 4 loans, till the end of the season. Win, win for the dons as they don't have to pay a penny. Graham Stack from Arsenal, Foley Sheridan from Liverpool, Jerome Thomas from Arsenal and Neil Barrett from Pompey. A great start to life under jones, he will be hoping for more of the same from his young wombles

Too much to comment on, but there's any number of incredible, cheap, even free players in this game. 

My friend and I used to have a notepad full of players by position. 

Cardiff and Wigan are really fun saves to play as. 

Robert Earnshaw and Nathan Ellington are incredible. 

The Diablo tactic is the go to tactic. 

Probably the peak of Champ Manager for me.

Oh yeah matey :)) just abit of fun for me as completely outplayed FM 23, especially after what they have released in last few weeks (with the Netflix thing) 

It just shows that this game is 20 years old 😳 and it's 1 million times better then FMM 23. On all aspects. I even found and put them on my coaches list, Duffy and Marc Vaughan. If you can see this Marc, why don't you make something like this again, would be absolutely awesome on the mobile version. 

@Marc Vaughannever knew you started as a footballer. I have to commend you for the CM 03/04 

After all these years I've never found a platform game that comes close to this.

Story on Lionel Morgan, a very sad one

Was ment to be the next John Barnes according to a ex professional. He got spotted by Tottenham, I think at a England u21s game. Tottenham put 2 bids in for him, Wimbledon rejected both. He then got a very bad injury for Wimbledon, few months later Tottenham bid again. Got accepted this time, but he sadly failed his medical. Retired only at 21 if I recall. Very sad story

He was great on the old Champ Man games prior to 03/04 too. 

Go for Babangida on the other wing.

Theres a Honduran midfielder called Guevara who's also pretty cheap I believe. 

Also, did Gullit get the Spurs job?
