Season 17

Another season another title.

Other teams made it a bit easier for me by losing so many.

We ran away with it in the end.

Anyway, job done.

Smashed Liverpool in the FA cup final too.

Onwards we roll, back to London with the mighty Fulham.

Shout out to the gunners who head back down to the championship.

One day I'll win the league with you guys

Season 18

Exceeded all expectations this year.

If it wasn't for so many draws we would have pushed very close for the title in our first full season with Fulham.

Making great strides and signed up some quality players and the end of the season.

Fully expect to push all the way in season 19

Another successful title challenege completed.

On the lookout for another job now.

Getting hard to find as all the ones available have already completed challenege with.

Hopefully a newly promoted team come up and sack manager early doors so I can get a real challenege for once

Overall Challenge Completion

Just a little update on how the challenge has gone so far.

Into my 20th season now and recently been appointed as Crystal Palace boss.

Here's a list, in no particular order of clubs we have already achieved league success with:

• Manchester City
• Wolverhampton Wanderers
• Brighton
• Aston Villa
• Chelsea
• Nottingham Forest
• Tottenham Hotspur
• Liverpool
• Brentford
• Manchester United
• Huddersfield
• Fulham

Season 20

Great turn around.

Was actually pretty close at the bottom half of the table.

Thankfully most of the tough games were already out of the way when I joined.

Need to work on the defence, very dodgy at the moment.

Hopefully board back me in pre season and can go find some foreign gems.

 

What a shame to see Man City going down. 

Guess they finally got what's been coming to them!!

 

Hopefully with a bit of luck and some good signings we can push for title in season 21.

What I've seen from the squad is incredibly positive.

Total domination in the league.

Missed out to old club Fulham in the FA cup final 1-0.

Get a brew, this might be a long one.

So after 20 seasons I thought I'd share my thoughts on how to quickly turn around basically any club I've managed.

First thing I do when I take over it change the coaching staff.

I like to go with 2 attacking and 2 fitness coaches.

Scouts I usually try and get 3 youth. 

Physios I tend to opt for 2 rehab and 1 prevention. Although I am yet to see if there is any actual difference as I use to go 2 prevention and 1 rehab.

Next I try and get the facilities to 5 star as soon as possible.

After that I evaluate the squad.

As you can see I've pretty much picked the starting line up from what is available to me.

I generally either loan list or transfer list the unwanted players and as I have unlocked the domestic loan challenege in this save I bring in the best players available and interest on loan. These guys are usually back up / rotation and cup teams.

As I like to save 1 lineup for league and other of cups / Europe.

Just saves the hassle having to pick a team every time. Makes playing through the seasons so much quicker.

Once the squad is evaluated its onto the transfer market for free transfers.

A great source of income.

As you can see there are barely any available. That's because at the end of last season with Palace I signed up the majority of them.

Once signed they are cannon fodder. Straight onto the loan / transfer list.

As you can see, easy £3m.

Just like that theres an extra £65 million in the bank.

I made over £100 million last season at Palace purely through signing free transfers and selling them.

A tip if you don't already know.

If struggling to see on transfer market, change to loan.

Once loan offer comes in, change to transfer and select price near to their valuation.

Sometimes you can go higher, sometimes need to go lower. Usually always works.

 

Basically that is all that I do and I'd have to say it's been very effective so far.

Another cheeky wee tip that you get for reading so far.

When it comes to assessing the youth intake at the end of the season take them all on board.

List them for loan.

Once offer comes in change to transfer and away you go, free money.

How this differs slightly to previous comment is that sometimes you get a massive big for players.

I had a this lad at Palace, was originally valued at about £5 million straight after promotion 

 

Also I forgot to mention, after pretty much every game I chose this, unless we lose then I generally go with the middle.

Majority of the squad seem to appreciate the light schedule more than medium or heavy and usually gets the boys back to fitness by the next game.

Season 22

The end is nigh now!!

Bottled it, could have been one season wonders but threw it away in the last 6 games.

If we'd have beaten Chelsea would have gone level on points.

Not to be this season.

We continue rhe rebuild and go again.

Liverpool the latest big team to go down.

Season 23

Just about survive to claim another title.

Very shakey defence this season, luckily enough it was cancelled out by a fantastic forward line.

Win the league on the last day of the season.

Very close run this year with 4 potential winners coming into the last few games.

But we held our nerve in the final game away to Fulham.

 

I now have a massive problem. 

Pretty much every team in the league bar a couple of newly promoted teams I've already managed.

So, do I hold out and hope one of them sack their manager or do I drop down to the championship and go for glory from there??

I'll give it until Christmas to see if either the Arsenal, Newcastle, Norwich, Portsmouth or Bolton jobs come up.

Only ones going, thought Liverpool were coming back up but Bolton beat them then the playoffs 🤣

Taking a Championship team might work out the same as taking a struggling team that has just lost its manager? You'll be unlikely to win the Prem at the first attempt anyway and require a rebuild. 🤷

Yeah you're probably right.

Only one that's really come up is Everton who are rock bottom and villa who I don't want.

Kinda thought the Bolton or Arsenal one would be available by now.

Might if I pump the gunners next game they'll fire Bisseck

Maybe should have taken advice and dropped down to championship.

Big challenege here, 1st to stop the rot then a complete rebuild. 

Very old squad with about a quarter of it set for retirement.

Doesn't get much closer than this 

 

Absolutely shocking defensively but I liked how pretty much every game seemed entertaining. 

 

Going to sure things up over the summer and hopefully push on to another comfortable title win next season.

Season 26

Another win.

Onto the hunt for a new club now.

 

Dominant in the league and Europe.

Although we did scrape past Atletico with a last minute equaliser.

 

The end is in sight now.

It's been a long grind!!!

Season 27 Preview

Had to drop down to try and bring glory to to one last previous champion.

Let's  ee how we roll in the championship. 

 

Also I am trying out a new tactic as I want to try a 1k/2k/3k after this so need to try and figure out what works where
