Oh man. This sucks. Of course he feels too big for PSV.

Well, this is the end of season 16. Optimistic as I am maybe he changes his mind at the start of next season.

He hasn't seen the last of me yet I'll die trying if anything.

 

 

Season 17

 

New season same story. Man Utd accepted my offer now it's up to Malcom to sign that contract. COME ON!!!

Oh dear. It's just not happening. He keeps saying he doesn't want to move to a smaller club.

Maybe he hasn't realized he's got little time left in his career and since he isn't getting any games

in England why not move??

Bummer. Summer window is about to close and no deal. I will continue till I see the dude retire with my very eyes.

In the meantime I'll keep bugging him with countless transfer papers but no signature.

You know what. If PSV isn't working what is there to lose?? I'm swapping clubs.

This has got to be my very very last chance to get him to Holland.

A huge debt which is no surprise but squad looks surprisingly good. Looking for Malcom now...

With the massive debt the club's got they're hardly giving me any funds for wages.

I need to sort this out as I still may have a chance seeing that he says I can't meet

his demands rather than the "club too small" excuse at PSV.

 

With the January window approaching I need to sell a few players to ease the heavy budget. Not giving up just yet..

Oh yes!!! Did Manchester release him?? He had a contract till the end of the season.

Let's see what I can do. If Lady Luck isn't smiling upon me now then who is???

HELL YES! back in the game. Challenge still very much alive!

Lost valuable time but who knows where this ends. Gotta use all the tricks I've learned

and squeeze the most goals out of him as I can. I need 200!

He's totally out of form and zero match fitness as he's hardly played any games since

I left England and not found the net once. Not once!

Yes! Awesome stuff, just have to hope that the three seasons of low games don't result in him retiring early!

Impressed his stamina has remained so high as well.

This career, along with Ashez's have inspired me to pick FMH15 back up, don't let me down now! :P

@LLSherwood89, dates are odd indeed. He was released apparently right at the turning of the year.

@RJH777, yes I'm a little wary of the stamina tbh but for his age it's looking pretty decent.

@Lilgwanz, couldn't believe it myself. He went straight to contract negotiations with reasonable demands.

@IPedanta, thanks for the added pressure. ^_^

@Ashez, it's worth every sec. I spend posting with such a great group of followers. Hopefully it inspires others as well.

There should be an update tonight of the 2nd part of season 17. Malcom's first 6 months with Ajax.

- Malcom in Holland -

 

Season 17 (Jan - June '31)

 

Overjoyed as I am to finally have managed to get Malcom to Holland and still have a modest but realistic shot at this challenge there's some serious rebuilding to be done. To my surprise there's some real quality players in the team and they're way better than the Man United squad I inherited back in England.

This results in an unacceptable wage budget which is after relocating all my transfer funds still two times over the limit.

I'm all for quality not quantity.

I bought no one and sold about 10 players to come just under the wage limit. Squad of 20 players. Perfect. Let's begin.

Great debut.

After 3 years it's fantastic to see his name on the scoreboard again.

Of course PSV are the team I left and it's no surprise they dominated us even in our Amsterdam ArenA.

I left a fine squad with excellent players so I knew it was going to be a difficult game.

I got my team playing well now. Formation works, tactics are fine-tuned to the squad.

And of course I've known Malcom for 17 seasons and played him nearly 15.

I know exactly what to expect of him and what player roles suits him best. The team is built

around him to get as many goals as I can.

 

But the many things that might be wrong with the game this is realistic tho. Eventho Malcom's

giving good performances and getting chances he has trouble scoring in the first 2 months

just as anyone would coming back from injuries/prolonged period out of the game.

 

He needs to find his form back and when he did it was a joy to watch him score.

Malcom's in top form again and he means business.

Pleasantly surprised about him lasting the full 90min with his stamina as little as 10.

I tweaked the tactics to accommodate his low stamina but still very satisfied with his progress on the pitch.

Bit unlucky losing the lottery of a penalty shoot-out.

Well dominated but lacking the finishing touch. Malcom added one more to his tally.

In all a fantastic end to season 17.

 

There weren't too many games for Malcom unfortunately as of course he was

still Cup-tied for Manchester United when I got him on a free.

So he watched all Champions League matches from the stands.

He's 34. I'm hoping he lasts till the end of his contract.

If he doesn't then getting 1000 goals would still make this a worthy attempt

to arguably one of the trickiest challenges I've faced.

I know the buttons and such will depend on the phone but afaik the skin itself should be no different.
