Chat Have Defensive Midfileders Improved?

Before I buy this years game I would like to know has the defensive midfielder issue been dealt with or are ratings still poor.

To me the ratings have improved. My DLP and BWM are getting 7 and 8 most of the time.

My DM is the heart of my team and wants to leave for a bigger club. 

 

currently Edinburgh city and top of league one. Been told the board wants me to avoid relegation.

not much different I would say..half a season in, Xhaka 6.76 (1 goal 5 assist) Torreira 7.00 (2 goals, 2 assist) they usually get a 5 if I lose/draw despite the goal being other player's mistake

TBF I would be worried if Xhaka was getting a higher rating than that as a DM

are you suggesting that DM dont deserve 7+ rating 🤔 retrained him to be natural DM btw

I'm suggesting Xhaka has too bad positional discipline to be a truly great defensive player.

hmm thats true but I'm gonna test this with better DM to see if rating improve

torreira has been getting good ratings for me but I have found that ratings are also impacted by players being intimidated of the league

I've only been using my DMs in DLP mode in a 4-1-2-2-1 formation but sadly they're only slightly better than they were in FMM17  at least it's no longer bad to the point where I discarded playing DMs haha

I’m using Fejsa who has 19 in positioning and he very rarely gets over a 7 rating

Sergio busquests rarely getting over a 7 no matter what

18 months into Arsenal save and still having same issue with DM or BWMs. Consistently low ratings. Very limited progress with new training system as getting too many 6s.

You won't buy the game because you CDM match rating might be wrong?

It's kinda sad that after like 5 years of EME the DM is still bugged.

In my opinion a good defensive midfielder is so important in football most of my favourite players are CDMs I play there myself as well. So for it not to work in game puts me off playing it.
