Season 05 - England - Rob

After setting myself a high standard last year this season was always going to be a bit of a disappointment. 

I added a few more English players (a few whom were on the transfer list) to the team, whilst switching out VVD for De Ligt.  Dest and Neymar both wanted to leave. MOANERS!

We have a couple of ridiculous games:

But we bombed out of the French Cup early and left the Champions Cup in the semis. 

The lads grabbed another 152 goals this year, with Elliot snaring another 22 assists. Greenwood is doing the best, unsurprisingly. 652 goals so far, with 96 assists in total.

Not much disappointment though as it wasn’t much of a drop and nearly 100gls ahead or Ian and myself as well.

Assists are looking much closer though and my warrior is only just warming up in that competition.

Yes mate he is great for me at Spurs, cuts in from right IF position and is lethal on that left foot. You’re getting more goals out of him by looks of things tho so great work!

Woody: Season 6.

We started to improve last season and its given me hope that we might actually be able to this.

I decided to have a 2nd clearout and invest in some youth. I have a huge squad and some players are moaning like mad so a few of those had to go.

The season went pretty well trophy wise, a Champions Trophy,  a Champions Cup and a Super Cup win too. Unfortunately and semi final defeat to Monaco in the French Cup.

We won the league breaking the 100 goal mark for the 1st time.

Beltran is going steady but something tells me we wont see a 20 assist season anytime soon. He managed just the 9 this season.

On the other side of the coin my 3 Padres had a belter of a season(for my standards).

Ruiz turned in a respectable 23 with Nino notching 26 but it was Zarzana once again showing the boys how its done with a cracking 42 goals.

I finally see the light at the end of the tunnel and as long as the lads keep performing then hopefull we can reach that 1k target.

So thats a 91 season for us which im pleased with.

Nino: 143 goals.

Ruiz: 170 goals.

Zarzan: 158 goals.

Total goals: 471.

Beltran is a cracking player, his goal count is starting to rack up but the assist are mostly between the front 3.

Ian - Season 6

We had our best return yet last season so we were looking for even more this season from our beautiful Dutch Warriors.

 

Holland

I wasn’t totally sure whether our end to the European Championships was at the end of last season or the beginning of this and for some reason I have no screenshots or anything in my notes which is a bit surprising. Anyway, we went out at the quarter final stage as you can see below and I can’t remember which nation inflicted the wound but I don’t think it was a powerhouse nation as I do remember I’d taken a risk with my lineup consisting of a few tired players. I didn’t get the dreaded sack though so we can continue on and the boys fought back and managed a combined 21 international goals this season which is our second best tally yet at international level.

Transfers

Not much transfer action this season with just a couple of young Dutch players arriving, centre back Todiba coming in along with young French midfielder Eduardo Camavinga who looks rather good and is fairly new to me.

Team Results

We won all competitions but just didn’t have the same level of domination as last year dropping from 133 league goals to 109. Highly frustrating really and we’ll need to try and improve on that in the coming years.

Warriors

Unfortunately this turned out to be a frustrating season for our warriors as we just couldn’t get the bigger score lines which had the knock on effect of hindering our boys. Josh managed 45 goals so not so bad from him but Boadu and the Postman could only manage 23 and 21 respectively so just 89 for the season which after hitting 118 last time out is a disappointment. The 21 international goals pulls our total up to 110 for the season so guess we have to be thankful for those goals and look to improve next time out. I feel I’ve probably put too much focus on developing young Dutch players at club level in a bid to help us at Holland which is maybe hindering us at PSG so I may have to revise my strategy from now on. Our assist warriors also provided another 20 assists so he is just steadily plodding along.
