I got Sancho and Tonali on bosman. And I remember that in the first 3-4 season you can get a lot of world class player on free. 

I remember I could have gotten Fati when și was 29 or so

Looked back to the previous 3-4 seasons and the best bosman I got was Adnan Januzaj 😂. Luckily he’s still giving good services at my club as assistant

In the first few season you get good players, then you get only untrained regens, bad real players or once in a while you get a good player, but nothing out of ordinary

I picked up Tuanzebe and Joe Gómez for free this year, but I'm in Poland and they're 29/30 respectively. Other excellent bosmans have been players who popped into existence in the Italian teams (not loaded) at age 22/23 and were released after 2 years.

Hole 14 got a birdie for @broodje kip and he closed the gap being even with @RichD. Wonderful recovery after the 10th hole mess!! And I'm not far away at just two points and the final 4 holes can get some surprises.

 

Next up it's one of those holes that will grind our gears as we all three agreed that we hate two season holes...

Buy a North American AMC who must get as many assists in 2 seasons as possible in all competitions.

Eagle - 100+ assists

Birdie - 70-99 assists

Par - 45-69 assists

Bogey - 30-44 assists

Double Bogey - 29 or less assists

Out of Birdie Corner and we're in the last part of the Augusta, the last 4 holes and even that this part looks nice as a whole is not about this particular hole, hole 15 is a two season challenge and we, all three, hate two season challenges.

 

This one I saw it as a combo between hole 8 (with the MC from Bournemouth) and hole 9 (with the goal scoring goalkeeper). I had to make a player assist a lot, from a center position and somehow I had to direct all the balls through him resulting in a boring tactic... effective, but boring, this one: 

 

Not to forget, the player, again an ex player. Again one ex player that didn't had the chance to play for the first team and after few loan spells he saw a exit, to Bournemouth  I present you  Alan Ayrton Bueno aka "Goodie"... with 19 on passing, 15 on creativity, 19 on movement and 19 on stamina, was the perfect man for this hole.

 

And he delivered, too bad that we (as a club) missed some games as we exited Carabo Cup from the first match... I wasn't inspired to deploy the backup version of the tactic, the same backup version worked perfect in the FA Cup when we were 3 down after just 37 minutes.

So, Goodie delivered, 49 assists in the first season, enough to get an Eagle!

 

By the beginning of December we already goat the birdie, should we go for Eagle? 21 assist in 24 games and we still have 40-43 games to get 30 more assists...

 

The answer is NO, not going for Eagle... I was sooooo bored, the tactic is effective but god damn is boring, and stressful! All the balls were forced to Goodie and he wasn't allowed to shoot... and after a good pass from him, many times the strikers went on to pass again instead of shooting and get the assist for Goodie. In the first season the front 4 (9 players) had a combined 69 assists, 69! 

So I've stopped this tactic and went on for a hybrid to give Goodie more space and more creative freedom to other players, something nice to watch. The tactic looked like this.

So, Goodie went on to get 89 assists in the two available seasons, and by the end he improved his crossing and creativity, a all round AMC. This time I will keep him around for few seasons.

So welcome back to the Augusta challenge, this is my attempt at 100 assists in two seasons! 
 

Season 1

So as you can see he had improved massively by the end of the season, he had 11 crossing when he joined.

Tactic

 

So this is the formation I went with for both seasons, only difference this season was a I went work in to box, the second season I went shoot on sight....

So not a bad season, things got better when his stats improved so I’ll be hoping that improves things second season.

Wow what a season, as I said I went shoot on sight instead of work in to the box and the goals shot up, beating AC Milan 12-1 and 9-1 in finals. Also a massive 179 goals in the league. Let’s see how the boy did then?

 

HUGE, what a result from the Mexican, honestly over the moon with this one, I’ve had a couple of poor seasons on this course and I finally feel like I’ve got the best result possible in a hole as we achieve an EAGLE with a 106 assists.

A decent 33 assists. Honestly I’m very disappointed with the amount of assists I got. The formation I use in season 2 is a lot better.

How Did He Do?

As I said, I’ve finished the challenge early so I holidayed through the season and he got absolutely no assist 😂. If I use my season 2 tactic in season 1 I would’ve got the eagle but for now it’s birdie.

Hole 15 was hard and I'm disappointed that I didn't had the spirit to keep on going in the second season to get the Eagle now that @RichD got it, and I'm sure that@broodje kip feels the same way.

 

Next up is a small, yet hard, challenge, only half of a season.... on this one I'm in advantage as I have around 7-9 more games than other two, so a lot more chinches to make my player score more.

In half a season (Jan.15) a centre back of your choice must score as many goals as possible in all competitions. He can NOT take any penalties and can NOT play as a striker.

Eagle (Hole In 1) - 18+ goals

Birdie - 10-17 goals

Par - 6-9 goals

Bogey - 3-5 goals

Double Bogey - 0-2 goals

This hole is one of my liking so I start to prepare for it 5 seasons ago when I bought a 17 years old AMC Wonderkid from Real Madrid, great player and he was also "effective free-kick taker", this was a MUST. Cost me around 50M and a player, In the same season I got a wonderkid from my Academy, an MC with dark green on AMC and DM and he was also a free kick specialist... so two players for this hole. But I couldn't retrain them as defenders, you can't... they stayed 2 years on Central Defender training and nothing, they simply went on to develop as AMC and MC.

So three seasons ago I went for the backup plan, another academy graduate, originally an MC and he did play as MC, DM or CD so perfect. Meet Cameron Skelton, my captain! He has usually 20 on shooting, went one down in the off season... he will get back to 20 in no time.

 

And he is also the best free-kick taker in the squad!

 

The tactic was simple, Skelton will act as a Shadow Striker and I will have no other strikers. On the side I went with Inverted Wingers to get the ball in the middle to Skelton.

Worth mentioning, every time I went with a defensive tactic or with 1 or no strikers, bad relationships started to pop-up in the field.

So welcome to my attempt at hole 16. To be honest this one was probably the one I was most confident about as I have had great success using no 10 as a T, probably more so than a striker on this years version.

My Player

 

So I actually signed a 31 year old at the time, but he was the best on offer as the one I wanted had 18 shooting, just wouldn’t join. But this lads stats were good enough and he is an effective free kick taker, so that’s nice.
 

Tactic 

 

Plenty of greens in there, quite a defensive tactic really, but it always seems to get goals for me, I did have my RP as an AP for a few games.

So boom there mate the first 18 goals so you can see he didn’t have a penalty, to be honest this challenge was one of the easier ones for me, I think a lot of people on here use a T and DLF to good use, it’s a strong combination.

Overall Record

So as you can see, comfortably over the 18, he also had a massive 14 assists. So involved in 39 goals in 30 games, not bad for a 32 year old CB!

This was the second Eagle wave, so @samhardy, you have another hole to revamp for the next year.

 

We may got eagle all round on 16th hole, up next we may get a bogey all round...

Must buy any player age 35+ and that player must win as many Man of the Match awards in the league only as possible in one season.

This one I think is the hardest hole of all Augusta course as there are just few 35+ years old that want to sign, 90% or more just want's to retire, so you are left with a handful or players, bad players. And I think you must have an average to bad squad so your 35+ years old player can be man of the match.... and I have a superb squad.

I managed to get 4 players, 3 went to reserve and never played a game and the forth is this

He looks more than decent for his age, and I've spent a fortune on him, 141M... yes 141 millions on a 35 years old player. Krasnodar didn't want to let him go for less...

 

The plan, have a bad first half, 0-0, and then insert the player... he only needed to score a goal or sometimes to give an assist to get MOTM... easy in theory, hard in the making.

Tactic for the first half... and it worked most of the times, only 3 times it wasn't 0-0 at half time.

After the 7th Man of the Match I was jumping around the house only to realize that I needed MOTM only in the league games, not all competitions.... with only 7 league games to go I knew I couldn't do another 3 so I quit and prepare for hole 18. This is the first bogey.

 

Lobos at the end, the second best player in the squad... as all players only played one half, the first half you can't count it, most of the times we had 0 shots and also the other team had 0-2 shots.

noooo, it was so freaking hard... he managed 19 goals and 7 assists and still got only 7 MOTM, in 49 games

So I didn’t really attempt this one, I couldn’t sign any outfield players of that age on this one, I could sign a keeper but keepers barely get 7 rating so I decided not even attempt it. Maybe this is one @samhardy can change for next year??
