Career The Courageous 1KC Attempt

Fellow community members! Welcome to my 1KC(1000 career goals with one player for those that might not know because it took me a while to figure what it meant). 
 

Anyways just a shout out to a lot of the people that have attempted and posted this challenge including tips on how to try complete this in regards to players to acquire, formations, tactics etc. 

Currently halfway into my 2nd season and I’m doing less tinkering with my formation and tactics (still play around with it here and there) but it’s a bit settled and the team and player is getting better and seems to be scoring more.

Thought he seemed familiar xD good luck none the less hope he smashes it for him tho regardless. 

I'm doing the badge of honour now re doing Derby days rooneys challenge.

If I could get anywhere near the numbers he was pulling I’ll be done sooner than I anticipated haha!! Big up to him!

Season 2

A bit disappointing how the season ended for him. Form tailed off massively and barely saw any growth. However we are still on a good trajectory. Managed to play a bit more matches by managing his time better(subbing off mostly)  

Made some signings with the almost nothing budget I was given. Had to get creative.

We managed to get out the group stages of the CL but unfortunately lost R16 3-2 to Milan. Won everything domestically.

Still going good he does start off a bit slow. But sign the right players around him and he will set off like a rocket. My only negative thing to say about azon his teamwork is way to high lol

He’s really good throughout the seasons, it’s almost as if my team tires out towards the end of the season. Have you ever experienced anything like that?

Always. But I don’t rotate my players enough. Prefer main team and back up players as opposed to two full squads. Probably why I get a lot of unhappy players 😂

The good thing is you know where your problem lies if you can call it that 😂

Exactly what @MikeF said I rarely rotated my team in Beijing. Mainly the wingers and wbs I rotated.

I’ll try this and see if it brings out more consistency over the season.

Season 3

Champions League baby!! The team definitely overachieved! I was able to pick up some good players for modest fees(McTominay, James, Holding) in Jan and boy have they been excellent signings! 
 

Season started quite slow after selling Hagi to Spurs(offer was too good to refuse), trying to overhaul the squad but not being able to sell a number of players and the ones that came in took a while to settle so Azon was scoring at just over a goal per game  

He is starting to develop quite nicely now and I can feel he imposes himself more in matches now. He missed a month out with injury so hoping he stays injury free and I’m aiming for at least 90 goals next season from him, fingers crossed. 
 

S1: 50 goals.

S2: 67 goals.

S3: 70 goals.

Current total: 187

Some great numbers there mate. Especially seeing as Scotland is a harder division he's smashing it 👌 👍

Season 4

The target was 90 goals. 

Shooting stats finally picked up although it was only at the end of the season. 
 

Only made 1 new addition to my starting XI, the rest for rotation and youth. Managed to sell of a few players for some decent amounts. 
 

Unfortunately fell short of the target I set out for him. He missed a couple of games end of the season due to injury and didn’t perform so well against the best teams in Europe. 
 

Oscar is scoring too many, might change formation to produce better performances in Europe(totally fluked our way to another CL,I was not impressed) but what a way to end the season!! Really hope the change in formation won’t backfire from next season.

Season 5

90 goals!! 

Started managing the national team, won some trophies and the change in tactics definitely helped to an extent. I am going to tinker with them again this coming season as I think I may have stumbled upon a new way to hopefully score some more, let’s see how it goes!

Season 6

Same games, same goals. Thought I was onto something last season but not so much. Thinking of going to the tinkering table once more ahead of the New season. 
 

starting to integrate some youngsters into the starting xi so hope he can reach the big 100 this season.

Season 7

Decided to not make any signings for the XI as the players that are better than mine don’t want to join or are ridiculously expensive. 

 

This team has not peaked yet as 5 of the starting XI are 24 and below so I’m excited to see them growing together. Might just go another season with an unchanged XI.
 

Azon had a beast of a season. Gets a lot of braces and the odd game like below. 

I am worried that he may have peaked though. Hasn’t grown for a while.

Doing great mate. Azon has become a solid striker and he has got it where it counts. 

I can see 1000 just over there in the distance...you can do it 👍

He’s pretty much smashing it at this stage. He’s not perfect by any means but he has the basic attributes so should remain decent throughout his peak years I’d expect.
