SEASON 2

One step closer to our goal as we picked up the domestic double woooohoooo!

Note - The transfers for Zuculini and Munoz were completed before the start of the new season.

Charity Shield

vtbfqjf.png

Close defeat in the traditional curtain raiser. Dybala was denied his hat-trick with disallowed goal which might have changed the whole outcome of the game.

English Premier League

FgCPR2l.png

Barely scraped through to the EPL title. Spurs still had the meanest defence and a more improved goalscoring record as they made it 2 in a row.

Carling Cup

dAHPMTL.png

For the second year running, a disappointing Carling Cup campaign as Spurs crashed out on penalties after Fazio had restored parity not once but twice.

FA Cup

VyQ5W0t.png

The second trophy of the year arrived in the form of the FA Cup. Spurs recovered from a one goal deficit to beat the Scousers 2-1.

Champions League

CfclwvN.png

Spurs crashed out in the first knockout stage. One can only wonder what the outcome would have been had Dybala’s goal not been disallowed.

Season Awards

foHwcB9.png

Paulo Dybala had a much improved season and thoroughly deserved his EPL POTY award while Erik Lamela helped himself to the YPOTY award, at the same time helping Spurs fans forget a certain Welshman.

Fans’ Player Of The Season

8gB1ROk.png

Lucas Moura got the vote as his 19 goals and 13 assists propelled Spurs to a domestic double, including scoring the match winner in the FA Cup final.

Other Notable Players

z1LyosE.png

Dybala did just as well as the first season if not better by scoring 41 goals. One major plus was his improving fitness which saw him feature more in first team games.

4keR712.png

Suarez had a wonderful first half of the season scoring 31 goals before his season was ended prematurely due to a spinal injury.

wB1j6x3.png

3F5dxhK.png

Diego Perotti was once led the team in assists but this time he had company from new boy Eduardo Salvio. The winged wonders managed 17 assists apiece as they terrorized the opposing fullbacks week in week out.

“It was a truly fantastic season. The lads really stood up to every opponent and even when they went down they went with a fight. Dybala has been magnificent, shouldering the goalscoring duties by himself when Suarez was injured. The early Carling Cup exit was probably the most disappointing result but it might have been a blessing in disguise as the lads were fresh for the second half of the season. Overall it has been a significant improvement from last season. To be honest I will be happy if we manage to repeat this performance next season but it definitely wouldn’t hurt winning slightly more trophies.” – Ossie Ardiles review of the season.

Nice season  :). Hopefully you can win everything next season  :D

i hope so too

That was hardly mediocre! Any title for Spurs will be good enough to last 50 before any more silverware! :)

Yes Zuculini is class.

“The season did not go as expected. A fourth EPL is impressive but I expected more on other fronts. I have managed to win everything possible in four seasons and after last season’s dismal performance, I have decided to call time on my managerial career. The fans have been wonderful and I thank everyone associated with the club for making my time here a fastastic one.” – Ossie Ardiles review of the season.
