Taff Attempts the "Alphabet/Nation Lock/TT

Season D

Sorry for the delay guys, but I'm back with 2 full seasons to share, so lets get straight into it

Season D left me with little choice so welcome home @AndersJ

Denmark.png.0489340acf02cda88d62ee5332ca2b05.png

Denmark

So we go with the Danes and here's my three chosen players (these images are from the end of the year as I forgot to get them at the beginning)

Spoiler

IMG_2820.thumb.PNG.d5e502382d0825f66f198df8358112b9.PNG

Dolberg the up and coming Danish Striker

IMG_2822.thumb.PNG.a6f4f42314c5b35dd70c4ce01a754e09.PNG

Poulsen from West Brom

IMG_2824.thumb.PNG.d535eaa40337bd3e5daef8ddf49083eb.PNG

And the experienced Jorgensen

So I have my three chosen players but also needed to do a bit of transfer work as well

Spoiler

IMG_2826.thumb.PNG.826bcbf537da42b8a1a20f2b75029748.PNG

As per my previous post I bought Ederson to be my new #1 GK, and also found this beast of a young French CD in Upamecano (seriously check him out)

IMG_2827.thumb.PNG.967044f2851b0a77342c03560de52f96.PNG

Finally got rid of Lukaku at the beginning of the season along with two of my Columbians from last year, the rest were out of contract players or unwanted graduates

So with my three new strikers in place we set off on another whirlwind adventure through the footballing world

Spoiler

Community Shield

We begin the season as always in the Community Shield

IMG_2767.thumb.PNG.705799069a77f312f81aa3b398ba2830.PNGIMG_2766.thumb.PNG.e3f75deb3c583c67352851a8b17cafbf.PNG

We face the Red Side of Manchester and three from 2 of my new strikers helps us to a 3-3 draw and we manage to win the Penalty shootout and clinch the first bit of silverware of the season

Euro SuperCup

We also have the change to compete in the Euro Supercup for the first time during the challenge and come face to face with fellow countrymen Arsenal

IMG_2768.thumb.PNG.ed7a0418a3d3077d4641c770ff337cf5.PNGIMG_2769.thumb.PNG.ac4a24646fa024c79d77a7f3dff44682.PNG

Who hold us to a 0-0 draw after normal time but my players come out firing in ET and clinch a  2-0 win and the Euro Supercup for our trophy collection

Club World Championship

Our second season in the CWC finals and once again we clinch the trophy

IMG_2776.thumb.PNG.68e20846df83fb960218c8f9a19cf40d.PNGIMG_2777.thumb.PNG.76570f90035575ca6f396818b8726197.PNG

Thanks to a 6-0 drubbing of Boca

EFL Cup

IMG_2784.thumb.PNG.2856a03b05a63998ac70c6d655ad60a0.PNG

The Red side of Manchester claim their revenge for their earlier cup loss to us and we are unable to reclaim the EFL Cup

League

IMG_2806.thumb.PNG.27a25a7946b35901bf457f9c7bceb001.PNGIMG_2812.thumb.PNG.e842a5a058250efd3d37b0ec301fc1cf.PNG

Another year and another EPL title to add to our collection, although this one was much closer than previous years, but did manage to score just shy of 100 goals so not all bad

FA Cup

IMG_2817.thumb.PNG.943c1b2f6215dee778e8a75c5312ac5c.PNGIMG_2816.thumb.PNG.761d6a503c7a519f77df15ef4b4febab.PNG

Spurs just couldn't get anything going and lucky for them we wasted a lot of opportunities otherwise this could have been embarrassing

UCL

Finally the UCL and we have another great year in Europe.  we are drawn in a group with A. Madrid, AC Milan and Qarabag FC and thanks to some great performances (including a 2-1 and 4-0 win over Madrid) we top the group and proceed to the Finals

Spoiler

IMG_2785.thumb.PNG.7a18e0ea965215c19af85f5979ce3476.PNG

A brace from Poulsen in the Second leg helps us see off Hamburg 5-1 over two games

IMG_2799.thumb.PNG.89946d6a5c789f07adcbc28d5ca0a14e.PNG

This time Dolberg hits two as we overturn another German team 4-1 over two games and proceed to the semi finals

IMG_2810.thumb.PNG.6ed51389ff924ca3720a9b7a78578383.PNG

Where Chelsea are no match for us losing 2-0 at away and 4-0 at home and Man City are through to the UCL Finals once again

We would face Arsenal for the second time in a European competition this season, but this was the important one the UCL Final....

IMG_2819.thumb.PNG.be010c5490db50efa598bf235b8d6b9a.PNGIMG_2818.thumb.PNG.1e41bd3a84ba43bc0e2f2a815c625cf1.PNG

Two of my Danes net in a great 3-0 win and the UCL crown is ours once again

So another fantastic season only missing out on the EFL cup.

How did my three magic Danes do this year, well you've already seen their end of season stats so lets just show you some history (and some Injury news)

IMG_2821.thumb.PNG.06e7d19fb7129a16298d1a107905f55e.PNG

Dolberg Nets a decent 35, having spent some time out

Spoiler

IMG_2773.thumb.PNG.3584790909cec9327427badea327326d.PNGIMG_2783.thumb.PNG.1e79e65c2c532f9996431540028e418f.PNG

IMG_2823.thumb.PNG.8bf8d6833bef259bcf45c916315a6bc3.PNG

Poulsen does slightly better, but considering he missed next to no games it's a bit disappointing

IMG_2825.thumb.PNG.c5989df85e0d763b7cb3ad56a1b19bf4.PNG

And Jorgensen comes in at only 27 for the season but he missed more time than anyone

Spoiler

IMG_2772.thumb.PNG.1b02f63f8b5221e65f626f6671008b92.PNGIMG_2780.thumb.PNG.23ebab7556f7b48b810629c8bcd5f7fe.PNG

 Dolberg: 35

Poulsen: 43

Jorgensen: 27

Total: 105

Goals Scored: 452

Goals Remaining: 1048

Alphabet TT Table
Nation Goals
Argentina 117
Belgium 106
Columbia 124
Denmark 105

So not a terrible showing from the Danes, considering the Injuries to both Dolberg and Jorgensen

Here's the Boring Bits

Spoiler

Fixtures

IMG_2828.thumb.PNG.38b3764b933e5e8b0f9f5aee69465dd6.PNGIMG_2829.thumb.PNG.6c201be474cd3e71f2214dcb148cca86.PNGIMG_2831.thumb.PNG.880a0d8df1df37dceb0bb64d01cf8850.PNGIMG_2832.thumb.PNG.525edd367b7a46e78eaba9229031ceb3.PNGIMG_2833.thumb.PNG.04c7822e75a608e1d32a96d622e1ac1a.PNGIMG_2834.thumb.PNG.faa08f56cf3843d1f05f39729165f51f.PNGIMG_2835.thumb.PNG.eedc656822619507566c561dc51bbdbd.PNGIMG_2836.thumb.PNG.d2952b503f866ac85557deb233290cc4.PNGIMG_2837.thumb.PNG.78e7f5204d59f75693483c4790f1e45c.PNG

Season Awards

IMG_2774.thumb.PNG.0cb720bf164051e0dfd014b4d9575261.PNG

Poulsen Wins the WPOTY (thanks to his lone striker spell) and Bellerin (who is just top class) comes in 2nd

IMG_2813.thumb.PNG.0fbc01d5e313560804de22e97aed4391.PNG

Same two for the POTY

IMG_2814.thumb.PNG.c67660b72ef14d58e3a6932a3038c505.PNG

Dolberg and Iheanacho share the spoils in the YPOTY

IMG_2815.thumb.PNG.daf997d90c4b605f8a76bf544d378d68.PNG

And it's a 4th consecutive MOTY award for me

So 4 seasons down and just shy of the 500 mark so not to disappointed, but could do with some bigger numbers

Now onto season E and hopefully an Exciting season awaits

Season E

So straight into the second season to share and well I once again am left with little choice so were going homegrown for Season E

England.png.45f5d2907ab244a100627f656f11629c.png

Engerland!!!!!!

(Sorry I couldn't help myself)

So lets see who are chosen warriors are this season

Spoiler

IMG_2838.thumb.PNG.bd9110c4800549c85671779fc5e8c376.PNG

The mighty Harry Kane

IMG_2839.thumb.PNG.5ad343bcfce360b72eff867fff610579.PNG

The Speedy Marcus Rashford

IMG_2840.thumb.PNG.3f80e7da3396278a90087ba14fb4ae25.PNG

And the Skillful Danny Welbeck

So we have are chosen three, but as always there is always room for improvement in the squad

Spoiler

IMG_2909.thumb.PNG.2a3977132f91cc3ba8cb95e85b99e80f.PNG

Or in this case just an extra CD (for Injury purposes) I still think Wisdom is a very underrated defender

IMG_2910.thumb.PNG.1e4b2bf0ba3167f12296923454a11f53.PNG

Managed to finally get rid of Cordoba, two of my Danish Strikers head over to the Dark side of Manchester, with Jorgensen heading over to Spain, and Jesus wasn't getting the game time and £80M is a lot to turn down, then Hart wanted out with Ederson doing so well I thought why not

So the squad is in place and ready to do battle

FIGHT!!!!!

Spoiler

Community Shield

Once again we begin the season with a cup game

IMG_2879.thumb.PNG.1de898e7ab6a98c831adb9fab7cf60f3.PNGIMG_2878.thumb.PNG.7c3eb6253ef9dcdf398fd65e575cd5b8.PNG

And this time we make sure we don't need a penalty shootout to win it

Euro Supercup

We once again take part in the Euro Supercup to determine the true champions of Europe, and this year we face very surprising opposition

IMG_2881.thumb.PNG.5d9fb2c74b5c69e946ff84d8237c6303.PNGIMG_2880.thumb.PNG.22493657586bbe39044b8a8839fd899d.PNG

A (rare) brace from Rashford seals the win against Palace (but fair play for winning the Euro Cup)

Club World Championship

Not a lot to say here

IMG_2888.thumb.PNG.9937790f2864b1e31766db76fc1b5837.PNGIMG_2887.thumb.PNG.ce6d6e9b72cc5854b71cb917e5e6b04d.PNG

All three of my strikers get in on the action to see of America and clinch the CWC for another season

EFL Cup

A very early exit in the EFL cup this season, thanks once again to those Devils over the other side of Town

IMG_2883.thumb.PNG.a5ade5a07684e55c69d08965c18ceee3.PNG

League

Could we make it 5 from 5 EFL Titles

IMG_2891.thumb.PNG.b5277fb6434e9f1c58571b7d7ac8fae5.PNGIMG_2898.thumb.PNG.9c343e254012e1889b09c58811a6070f.PNG

Of course we could leaving Chelsea 17 points in our wake

FA Cup

Another disappointment in a domestic cup

IMG_2893.thumb.PNG.e10b64ada46e4c04b0bedac71cc587a9.PNG

And another loss in a penalty shootout sees us out of another cup

UCL

With two disappointing exits in the domestic cups could we rally to claim the UCL Crown

IMG_2885.thumb.PNG.cbbb57810700b3df31937c2fab15fda0.PNG

We top our group and once again condone A Madrid to a 2nd place finish, and we progress forwards

Spoiler

IMG_2889.thumb.PNG.c18ce7e085b6c5333c49633c9a094fc8.PNG

We hammer our way past Anderlecht 6-1 over two games

IMG_2892.thumb.PNG.c299d39c912d2d408ef46acc879f22dd.PNG

A lucky escape in the Quarter Finals thanks to a 2-0 win at home and holding Dortmund to only 1 goal in the away leg

IMG_2894.thumb.PNG.5c57703d6194ef9b461e6508a1a18932.PNG

This time the away leg goes beyond our hopes and we crush Roma 5-0 only then to be held to a 0-0 draw at home, but the damage had been done and we are once again into the UCL Final

This time we go on to face PSG in the Final and once again it comes down to a penalty shootout, would our terrible cup form continue.....

IMG_2900.thumb.PNG.a232f74f415e121c040c64ce6777acb3.PNGIMG_2899.thumb.PNG.fe3e572d7f124d5fd3b767529ef90c5d.PNG

This time it is the opposition who crumbles and we are European Champions once again

So not the best season missing out on both the EFL and FA Cup, but still happy to have won the UCL Title once again, now how did our home grown boys do this season

First their end of season stats

Spoiler

IMG_2901.thumb.PNG.cfd444c543fd0edbdef94f92db1171f7.PNGIMG_2905.thumb.PNG.3e70ba2db73eb646d9f1f85bb33e7215.PNGIMG_2903.thumb.PNG.56faa4b6c4935775592a0b392547e349.PNG

and now the important bit

IMG_2902.thumb.PNG.91fad47cb7849a990f7d8b210016302a.PNG

Kane ends the year with 39 from 59, but did suffer a few short term injuries this season

IMG_2906.thumb.PNG.1e346bbb1451fb3d809aef9584eb18ee.PNG

Rashford was more miss than hit this year (he'd hit like 3 in a game then go a month without scoring), and end the year with the lowest tally so far of 25 goals

IMG_2904.thumb.PNG.ee862b47d43c4c9be503df56a5389a9c.PNG

Welbeck started off very well, then short bouts of injury and then a 3 month one in April put his season to bed early, but he finished 5 better than Rashford with 30 goals for the season

Kane: 39

Rashford: 25

Welbeck: 30

Total: 94

Goals Scored: 546

Goals Remaining: 954

                                               Alphabet TT Table

Nation Goals
Argentina 117
Belgium 106
Columbia 124
Denmark 105
England 94

So the English Boys fail to break the 100 mark, really thought they would do better, but we move on hoping for a much more Fantastic season next year

Here's the boring bits

IMG_2886.thumb.PNG.003c6fcae8c0140104748f708c5aeae3.PNG

Welbeck and Kane come 1st and 2nd in the WPOTY

They swap places for the EPL POTY

IMG_2896.thumb.PNG.a8780f9a85f4177681dad176467205e7.PNG

Rashford (somehow) is named YPOTY with my young CD Upamencano in 2nd place

IMG_2897.thumb.PNG.85670d2a2a022d8a229caa91d1a5eed5.PNG

And I retain my MOTY award

So not the best season for the English, lets hope my next group pull their fingers out and produce some magic

See you all soon

Good progress mate despite the English lads underperforming. I'm really enjoying the concept you brought.

Next up F. Goodluck with Faroer Islands.

Going well Taff, I do like the concept. I was thinking that your team must have moved to a dominant level to pick up that many goals with the Danes but then it all went wrong with the English. I'm sure 150 is on the cards with the French though!

Taff Attempts the "Alphabet/Nation Lock/TT"

Season F

So we're back again and after getting the horrible English Taste out of my mouth it was time to move on, to the land some call

France.png.5ee3336d87d6d2ef39d4dc92a0d483fe.png

"France"

personally never heard of it, but apparently they have some decent players, so I went out looking for some "French" players, seriously who are these guys.

Here are my chosen trio of strikers who will hopefully let me forget about the "Damn English" (as my Gramp would say only not as politely)

Spoiler

IMG_2955.thumb.PNG.c3e6f329f2790d18e46f4bc6d7d2e6c5.PNG

One of the stars of Euro 16 this lad is one I have never used and thought why not lets see what he can do

IMG_2956.thumb.PNG.013199f74cfec280e6c74b5942351af5.PNG

One of the Brightest young talents, who will probably end up doing nothing thanks to Jose Mourinho, but he did cost me WWWWWAAAAAYYYYY!!!!! too much, but he was the one I wanted most

IMG_2957.thumb.PNG.a8c5ad3f9651a3cc11756895048f2ac8.PNG

Lastly another young gun who has been part of many a team this year, so I wanted to see what he could do

So there's my three new strikers, but I also needed to bring in some Depth and clear out some Deadwood before the season began

Spoiler

IMG_2974.thumb.PNG.aa39f3bc0fa868c25144f8fcbe2c9cd7.PNG

Now before anyone says anything (I'm looking at you @Ashez) I know that £150M for Martial is beyond a Joke (but this is also the main reason I used United in my DT challenge earlier in the Year as they really won't let him go for less than this), But apart from spending £240M on my three new strikers, I brought in Passlack (who is on par with Bellerin), Timo Horn as a better backup (Ederson missed 2 months at the beginning of the year).  Mercado and Schick came in as backup strikers, and Douglas Santos came in as my new LW/LB

IMG_2975.thumb.PNG.5d3fcd55714a519c1418136f9619878e.PNG

Managed to make £148M for my three English Strikers (still £2M less than I paid for Martial) then as with Jesus last season Iheanacho wanted out so Valenica offered £40M I bit their hands off.  Then Garcia and Zuculini went out for "first team action", then the usual unwanted Graduates

So with the team now shaped and my tactic altered slightly to try and get the best out of the players, we move with the season

Spoiler

Community Shield

As we have for the last 5 seasons we begin the year in the Community Shield

IMG_2941.thumb.PNG.30417ef92bcb4661cd486ec5f6db63b7.PNGIMG_2940.thumb.PNG.9d82cd66130e91f0c35403e40d526c7b.PNG

Which we win comfortably thanks to a brace from Martial and a late strike from Dembele

Euro Supercup

Next up the game to determine the true champions of Europe (no Palace this year, we face Inter instead)

IMG_2944.thumb.PNG.d9a376aadd28f99fafb263e219f6b70d.PNGIMG_2943.thumb.PNG.f2c36caba703c9d472db358711656f2c.PNG

Once again we have to rely on winning a penalty shootout (after coming back from 0-2 down)

Club World Championship

Another chance to prove we are the best club team in the World

IMG_2951.thumb.PNG.313059eb1ed2d8b2b73b83534c7ad32e.PNGIMG_2950.thumb.PNG.37495b8c9144f836024c4afc57c7b7c0.PNG

This time Griezmann nets 3 to ensure our victory

EFL Cup

We manage to progress to the Final this year after a couple of disappointing years in the competition

IMG_2953.thumb.PNG.75ea7786a43da9a09f1fb54d565382f9.PNGIMG_2952.thumb.PNG.967f6cb855aee36f3cad7beae2c3fb4a.PNG

And after a 1-1 draw at HT, we progress to thump 4 past them in the second half and walk away 5-1 victors and reclaim the EFL Cup

League

Do you need to ask

IMG_2958.thumb.PNG.4774446e5202c858e3f2ca07300c7be5.PNGIMG_2961.thumb.PNG.f96276734d005b87419ee77b86a3bbb9.PNG

Another storming season losing just the 1 game and winning by 23 points

FA Cup

This is where the season fell apart

IMG_2962.thumb.PNG.4ce87460dc0c0bc08d4739445eb6a4c2.PNG

We progress to the final, but after letting in 3 goals in the first half we can't fight back enough to overturn the result

UCL

Once more into Europe we go.

IMG_2948.thumb.PNG.e746f651b90231872482561aadeca29a.PNG

We once again end the group stages with a clean slate, and move on through the knockout rounds

Spoiler

Up First BMG

The first leg ends 0-0 but we manage to progress thanks to a 3-0 win at home, and we move on to the Quarter Finals to face A. Madrid

IMG_2959.thumb.PNG.7075e048c4abbdde9fd48b42f312f57f.PNG

Who get spanked 5-2 in the first leg, then lose 2-1 in the second leg thanks to a late winner from Martial, and so to the Semi Finals to face the Reds of Liverpool

IMG_2960.thumb.PNG.c389854175aee149202042ecf2c0fc02.PNG

And as with BMG, the first leg ends in a 0-0 draw, only for them to lose 3-0 in the second leg, and so onto the final to face the mighty Chelsea

So for the 5th consecutive season we are in the Champions League Final

IMG_2965.thumb.PNG.72ef2acebb115c617a8603086e6f2b42.PNG

But as with the FA Cup final we can't beat our opponent even with superior stats

So a good(ish) season, but very unhappy about losing both the FA Cup and UCL Finals, but Ce La Vie we will survive to fight another day

Here's how my three Cheese Eating Surrender Monkeys got on this year

Some good improvement for all three lads

But here's what you came to see, how many did they score?

IMG_2967.thumb.PNG.b342570634587751329082cbdb933129.PNG

Griezmann had a slow start which wasn't helped by an early injury, but 35 isn't a bad haul

Martial ends the season on 31, but as with Griezmann he suffered an injury and didn't really get going till well into the new year

IMG_2971.thumb.PNG.54398d919dcd9c4c565a4faef4683433.PNG

With both Griezmann and Martial out injured, Dembele really stepped up and performed amazingly netting 51 for the season

Griezmann: 35

Martial: 31

Dembele: 51

Total: 117

Goals Scored: 663

Goals Remaining: 837

                                                   Alphabet TT Table

Nation Goals
Argentina 117
Belgium 106
Columbia 124
Denmark 105
England 94
France 117

So not a bad showing from the French, currently sat joint 2nd with Argentina on 117 goals for the season

Here's the boring bits

A Good looking season if you ignore the two reds at the end, my favourite four being the four drubbings we gave the Gunners (4-2, 3-1, 5-1, 5-1)

The options France have are simply outstanding, been championing them for a few games now and it just keeps being added to with new players like Dembele and Mbappe appearing on 2017. The best national team/squad/depth on FMM? It's got to be up there that's for sure.

Very impressive overall season mate, you paid top end money and got top end results in return.  Hopefully breaking 100 can continue :)

Taff Attempts the "Alphabet/Nation Lock/TT

Season G

So with the French boys getting the challenge flowing again it was time to move on to our next nation and as many would have guessed we are sticking in Europe (as we will be for a while) and using the Ubermen of....

download.png.d94bb9aa00c900dc616b05236bd3be80.png

Germany

And here are the boys who are looking to grab me another hatful of goals

Spoiler

IMG_2985.thumb.PNG.59fd8f06ef6fa89d0b1bc7d1b9ba9af9.PNG

An FMM fav of mine, especially this year after some great performances in the "Latin Europe Challenge" and a must have in most teams this year

IMG_2986.thumb.PNG.bc57c58344fbee11cde115a6c03c6479.PNG

This guy was a must buy for me when I started out on FMH 15, not used him in a while but his stats are good so what the hell

IMG_2987.thumb.PNG.d3e04eb88836e34324ecb2e88ca5e438.PNG

Then there is the mean machine that is Mario Gotze, a natural AM player he can play up front to good effect (I hope)

My original third choice was going to be Leroy Sane but Chelsea would not sell him back for less than £80M and I decided against it, then they go and sell him to United for £55M which really got my back up, but whatever I'm not bitter

So my three Germans are in, but the team needed a fresh dose of talent this year, especially in the CM with Emre Can my only real star, so I went a bit nuts and brought in some extra backup

Spoiler

IMG_2984.thumb.PNG.433096b2cc9b12a543bd07b37f2dfd8b.PNG

I bought Alli from Spurs for the huge sum of £70M at the end of last season, but I think the price tag is worth it as he is a world class midfielder

Then here's my purchases this year

IMG_3036.thumb.PNG.1eb72612c14853a022cc9ff86d462867.PNG

Saul and Tolisso come in as brilliant midfield options, and Oyarzabal came in as a backup AM

IMG_3037.thumb.PNG.e34169e46a7fb6e79734a9d9263e6663.PNG

Managed to get some decent money for Martial (OK its a £40M loss but still), Dembele also a loss, Obiang and Gundogan went out after their game time was limited so they were moved on

So the squad is sorted and Ze Germans set off to (finally) conquer England

Spoiler

Community Shield

We begin (with what would be our 1 of 3 cup finals) vs the Red Devils

IMG_2989.thumb.PNG.10b26d940362bdbe3005d6744f256f39.PNGIMG_2988.thumb.PNG.856c0b6257d6153780271e30815c709b.PNG

Volland and Werner start their City careers off on the right foot netting 3 against United, but our defence was a bit leaky so the game ends 3-3, but we prevail after another penalty shootout

EFL Cup

We progress through the rounds once again to face Liverpool in the EFL Cup final

IMG_3015.thumb.PNG.67400767d0dc9b0eec8029e1bdb96aa0.PNGIMG_3014.thumb.PNG.a4ba60bcbdd91a5892e27e4daa5541f0.PNG

This time a single goal from Gotze is enough to win the game and clinch the EFL Trophy once again

League

A barnstorming season in the league this year

IMG_3019.thumb.PNG.eccb6cb49cab011a1232ab7744a1c8df.PNGIMG_3023.thumb.PNG.a754ac71a0fb95eebcb1ee3017d1a76d.PNG

with just the 5 games not won and over 100 points and goals this was our best season to date

FA Cup

This is where we would once again have to face United in a Cup final, and they were out for vengeance..

IMG_3025.thumb.PNG.12ebf084d9ba13633b8868461d497da5.PNGIMG_3024.thumb.PNG.8439dcf3b9bb8f2a59946af9fca966dd.PNG

But Werner was having none of it netting all three goals in a cracking cup final

UCL

And another adventure through Europe and after the disappointment of losing in the final last season, this year we were out for blood

The group stage is another walk through

IMG_2992.thumb.PNG.6e7b358a612c6c3d2781a010e28068a0.PNG

suffering the one draw with Dortmund, but 5 wins is enough and we top the group, and then we head into the knockout rounds

Spoiler

IMG_3016.thumb.PNG.63f2ce79b735806bf5f6a5d31508c40b.PNG

Malaga up first but two wins and we are through to the quarter finals

IMG_3018.thumb.PNG.bbec7d65b6a366cdbe2bda0b67e188a9.PNG

a nervy first game sees us win by a single goal, but the return leg sees Bayern crumble and Man City progress thanks to a 4-0 agg score.  And on to the Semi Finals to face Roma

IMG_3020.thumb.PNG.4444bbf4eb80d975284292ae1f677d88.PNG

This one goes the other way with a good first leg and then both teams being a bit more cautious in the second leg, but we progress thanks to our 2-0 first round win, and once again we progress to the final

We make it to the final and one week after beating United in the FA Cup final, we face them again, could we repeat our victory and claim our third cup final game against United this season

IMG_3027.thumb.PNG.7e76cd14ce337b9daa4f8e093cdd20a4.PNGIMG_3026.thumb.PNG.8f5b10a4eec6578dbb0581cc6a534196.PNG

yes we could, but a much closer game this time, with us edging a 1 goal win, but Werner once again netting multiple goals in a big game

So a fantastic season with 4 cups and the league title all wrapped up

Here's how the boys got on, note here's their end of season stats and their goal scoring form from mid December (to give you an idea of how the season went

Spoiler

IMG_3028.thumb.PNG.30c627d2418e21690d9aeac9b66e0e43.PNGIMG_2996.thumb.PNG.f54208e255e71364b80c127e21fb3217.PNG

Werner has been on fire this season, his stats are still impressive (even if they have dropped a few points here and there) but his form shows his class

IMG_3032.thumb.PNG.094f4016c11e28efcd3ac215ac1e4e4a.PNGIMG_2998.thumb.PNG.fdfc9a6c6ee37db4222548fe5ae604d5.PNG

Volland struggled at times and a few bouts of injury really hampered his season

IMG_3030.thumb.PNG.8118c4a21987a02b01b98675a8c68cc9.PNGIMG_2997.thumb.PNG.6c76acb89be3ec8c4498dbd997193b1e.PNG

Gotze was decent (no where near Werners form) but he provided a lot of assists in the AVF role

Now onto the bit everyone wants to see, their final season tallies

IMG_3029.thumb.PNG.28c263b18403ef96e2b76e97f22fd20e.PNG

65 goals in 59 games for the German wizard, and he smashes Dybala and Dembele to become my highest scoring individual

IMG_3033.thumb.PNG.10b22b290263bebe517a010397275e0c.PNG

Volland sadly only managed 24 for the season but he did miss some significant time this year through injury

Spoiler

IMG_2991.thumb.PNG.a47c23fa6e4a0a1ace43854030e586e7.PNGIMG_3017.thumb.PNG.be660bf8fc0d51281ae6a5ede8c79e04.PNG

3 months + the recoup time so not the best season, but to be fair when he did play he was good, just not good enough)

IMG_3031.thumb.PNG.e0f3d416f6e427b35b0fa485c078a941.PNG

Gotze ends the year with a very decent 36, but also supplied 20 assists to the other strikers

Werner: 65

Volland: 24

Gotze: 36

Total: 125

Goals Scored: 788

Goals Remaining: 712

                                                Alphabet/TT Table

Nation Goals
Argentina 117
Belgium 106
Columbia 124
Denmark 105
England 94
France 117
Germany 125

So the German (thanks to an outstanding season from Werner) pip the Columbians and take the lead in the best Nation (albeit by 1 goal but still), and we are now well over halfway there now, as long as the goals stay like this we should hopefully be done by season N, but the nations will start getting interesting after Season I, so lets see where we are by then

Here's the boring bits

End of Season Awards

IMG_2995.thumb.PNG.0075890a122de6609438c87cd6ee807d.PNG

Werner claims the WPOTY (as he should) and Gotze thanks to his assist rate I'm sure, comes in second

IMG_3021.thumb.PNG.850b7d26b5ac401e57d6e5e3b6289465.PNG

Same story in the EPL POTY

IMG_3022.thumb.PNG.027119bcb548949b756224cb37d81a5d.PNG

And I am named Manager of the year (seriously why do the others even try)

So our best season yet, now lets hope that Season H continues in this vane

See all you soon

Just wanted to check but because it's a Triple Threat all three of my forwards have to play along the top line right?

i can't play one striker and two IF's (the IF's on the AM line)

just wanted to check before I do something wrong

There was some debate about using Holland as people refer to it as the Netherlands but in my game its Holland and thats what I'm using, just hope they can do you proud

The Danes played well for me dude, Jorgensen was a bit injury prone, but they beat the English and thats all that matters in life :P
