@PriZe that's actually really cool getting to hang out with these guys you watched growing up in a regular setting.

I have met no celebrities in my life ever though I have seen Christine Sinclair and Liev Schreiber in airports once each.

Yeah it must have really been a surreal experience eh?

He really is! Too bad I didn't go say hi or anything. I don't think I would ever bother a celebrity if I saw them in public. Seems pretty rude if they are just going about their business.

Unless maybe I saw someone I literally HAD to go talk to. Maybe like Michael Carrick, or Wayne Rooney or Antonio Valencia or someone else I absolutely adore.

Hey @PriZe Just read this, great to learn more about you! Gotta ask though: what's the deal with the Panda? Where did that come from? Just a preference or some sort of story behind it?

And if I can be a bit nosy, what do you do at the digital agency? Social media? SEO? Design?

I'm a bit like that - they are just people so seems like saying hi to them just because they are famous is a bit weird and maybe a hassle to them. Then again, that point of view is probably overkill...

Once I went to the gym in Witney (Oxfordshire) and Craig McLachlan (used to be famous) was there. He said Hi. I said G'day back then proceeded to ignore him, using the logic that I wouldn't have talked to him if he wasn't famous, so I shouldn't do it just because he was. Later on, I thought actually, that was probably rude... Two Australians in a small gym in the English countryside. Maybe a reason for a conversation...

Ha What are the chances of running in to the cut rate Jason Donovan in a Gym over here, we’ll random

I see the odd famous face when they come through the station for the Hay festival (Bob Geldof being the biggest)

also had the honour of stopping the royal train for the Queens visits a few years back (did my top shirt button up and everything)

I’m the one who with the Yellow Flag (not the one taking a picture of a train, I’m not a spotter I promise you)

I'm a big fan of Banksy his work (although it's not really sure if the Panda really is his) and i like the Panda of the contradiction in it. On the one hand you have a animal who is relaxed and on the other hand he is guns blazing. A bit like my own personality, i'm a relaxed guy but if i have my mind set on anything i'm all in :)

Regarding work, the Agency i work for roughly does everything in the digital space. 50% of the combination is design (art directors, designers, creative consultants) the other half is Tech ( architects, developers, cloud engineers)

i head up the RCG practice in the Benelux and am responsible for the strategy, vision, sales etc. Basically with my team i look at consumer needs, the retailers needs and determine how creation and technology can bring consumers and retailers together on and offline if that makes any sense?

Bit used to that people say you do something with websites right? Erm yes but a lot more ;)

Haha, didn't make the connection with Banksy. I'm a bit slow! Makes total sense now, thanks for the explanation.

Your job sounds really interesting (to me anyway!). I've worked in the online space for 10 years or so, in a few different areas, but that sounds like a relatively new space (or at least one I've never spent any time in). Logical extension to take a higher level approach to bringing those groups together.

Next time I'm in Holland I'll look you up for a beer and chat! :D

Sure mate!

Yeah pretty random alright... Especially out in the countryside, not in a big city. But, not quite as impressive as the Queen!! :D

I barely saw her, she got off the train straight out the front and off in the car, it took like two weeks to get the station nice and shiny, then the police were down doing security checks and she was on the station for all of 30 seconds

You're doing some pretty cool stuff there! The hush hush ones must be pretty awesome. :D

I used to run govt web teams, did a little bit of everything in those jobs: design, development, content strategy, digital strategy, UX, SEO, analytics, etc, etc. These days I work for an online marketplace (Envato/ThemeForest) that sells web stuff (web templates, WordPress themes, plugins, etc) as a .... Specialist. Bit hard to explain, but mostly working on projects and providing advice, etc. Never bored, that's for sure!

LOL, sounds about right. I guess it's that way everywhere she goes. Still, that beats Craig McLachlan for sure.

Better not tell you about the time I sung for Queen then... ;)

Yeah where do some amazing stuff in connecting the offline world. But that's for one of the largest sports brand in the world and for one of the largest telecom providers in europe. And they want to keep that info secret haha

Awesome mate! Digital space is exciting stuff and a great place to be in atm.

You got to sing for Queen as in Bryan May and the legends of Rock Music WTH!!!!

Whoops missed "the". I wish it was Queen, but it was the Queen. Queen would have been epic! The real story isn't nearly as impressive.

When the Queen came to Australia once when I was in primary school, they put together a choir of school kids to sing for her and I was in it. We weren't great (I was not a good singer), we stood up on a level above her and sang while she faced away from us towards the crowd who came to see her. Don't think she even looked at us. But when you say "I sang for the Queen" it sounds a little more impressive than the reality!

We are the champions, my friends,
And we'll reach 1KC in the end.

I met Steve Bull when I was really young and I have his autograph somewhere. Or I'm 99% sure it was him lol, some player did a charity autograph signing at our pub and that's the name that came to mind. An odd one to randomly pick out so I'll say it was him :P. We've also had Razor Ruddock in the pub a few times but I didn't bother going to meet him, as daft as it sounds it felt real stupid to go downstairs to meet him, if I was out sure but to randomly go into the bar to meet him felt odd lol.
