Career North Korean wonderkid Kwang-Son Han 1K goals challenge

I wanted to try doing a 1K goals challenge as I had never done something like this before ever since I started with FMH2013. So I was looking through the wonderkids list when I saw something that intrigued me. A North Korean playing for Cagliari in Italy?!?! North Korean? Really? It was unusual enough that I decided to pick him for the challenge on the spot.

Here's how he looks like at the start. Not too bad, some nice blues. 

Here's my tactics. I decided on a dual striker formation as I felt that Han could do well with a mentor of sorts beside him. I also wanted a 3-man midfield, so this is what I came up with. Nothing too fancy.

And here are the transfers.

Here's a teaser on how he looks like so far (almost at the end of my first season).

I was expecting a modest return of around 10-15 goals but he has exceeded my expectations so far.

Good luck, I believe a few of the bigger boys in Europe have been looking at him including Liverpool but his nationality causes some issues iirc.

Sounds interesting! Can see why you chose him! Tempting! Also, he's looking pretty good after 1 season. Looks like he's the real deal. Great start and can't wait to see how this develops.

Alright, the first season is done! Won the league but sadly fell short in all the cup competitions. Quite happy with the stats so far.

So how did Han do?

27 goals at the end of the season considering his age is pretty good and well above my expectations. I was actually slightly worried as he took quite a few games to start scoring. Really happy with his performance, good to see he had 15 assists too.

His stats seem to suggest that he would make a good team player. Wonder if I could make him better in the air though. 

And here's a transfer update. Arizabalaga will join at the end of the season to take over the No.1 spot. Cook arrives as a replacement for Iwobi, while I plan to use Sessegnon as a left winger. Han will eventually be my main striker but perhaps not this season. His partnership with Auba and Lacazette has worked pretty well so far.

And that's it! Pretty fun season so far.

This looks like a very promising career to follow. One thing I've noticed is that since he's North Korean he will most probably score a decent amount of goals for his national team thanks to both easy competition and the fact he is first choice striker.

Yeah, great start for the first season, will get better and better from here on in, can't wait to see how it progresses

And season 2 is complete! Won the league, FA Cup and champions league in the process. Let's see how Han did. 

2 goals less than the previous season is still a good return as Han was unfortunately injured for a month. 

His value has shot up to 46.5m, which is pretty beastly for a a kid of 20. And here's a transfer update. 

Getting Draxler for just 13m was a huge stroke of luck. Saul replaces Xhaka while Lemar replaces Ozil. With these great players feeding Han, I expect him to score at least 35 goals this season.

Do you still have him playing as part of a front 2? I think you need to consider a tactic change to play him upfront on his own.

I will be honest with you and say you are going to need to start scoring alot more goals and soon now he is over 20. I would say you need him to be scoring 65 a season minimum and even at that rate it will take you nearly another 15 seasons to complete the 1k so I would say the more the better.

Luckily Kwang looks a real good player and Arsenal have the finances to keep improving the squad so I'm certain you will be able to get him those goals you need.

Yup, I have changed my tactics and made him my main striker. The premier league is not making it easy for Han to score though, especially against bigger teams.

And season 3 is complete! I'm a little concerned as he scored only 36 goals, which is definitely not enough. I may have overplayed him though as there were times his profile stated 'slightly tired'.

Tactics wise, he's now a lone striker playing with two wingers as. I've also pulled back my APM to the centre midfield position to prevent him from scoring. Lemar is seriously beastly in the role. 

Stats wise, almost nothing new here.

Any ideas on tactics maybe?
