Thanks for the great tactic guys .. @Ashez & @Foxy. I hope if it's possible to create a strong 442 tactic.

I have wondered that a few times. We did use a variant of the 4-4-2 for the community tactic.

I hate the 442 system as it's incredibly hard to balance in game so it's one I try to avoid. Once 2019 releases if @Foxy has any ideas I'm open to the discussion but it's not one I'd push for tbh, imo a 442 just can't compete with the stability of a lone striker formation or the power of a three striker one.

This tactic has worked amazingly for me, thanks Guys.

Tested with Liverpool and went a season undefeated in the league, lost in the Carabao Cup final on Penalties, won the FA Cup and the Champions League. Salah scored around 45 goals in about as many games.

Glad you enjoyed the tactic sounds like it worked a treat for you. Yeah Salah was awesome for me as well.

Second season now with this tactic and its working an absolute treat. Biggest surprise for me has been the development of Harry Wilson - re-trained him to play as an AMC and he's an absolute beast as a shadow striker.

Ojo & Origi also develop lovely with some good training. Ojo is rotating with Zivkovic for the Left Winger role (couldn't turn down £88M bid for Mane) and Origi is great cover (after been retrained) for Salah

You are right @Ashez it's hard to balance the game. And I agree about you said. Yeah sure you discuss it with @Foxy . When I asked I was excited that's all. Because you guys did very well with tactics.

Thank you

We created this tactic as a community by voting on the various elements of the tactic and came up this.

WARNING: Results in testing where quite mixed :S

Decided to have a go in the lower leagues with this. I was interested to see how it would pan out given you can't use the coaches that you have access to further up (you're lucky to get a silver one, and only have one or two slots to even hire) and the training intensity choices can usually upset players further down.

Currently top of the Vanarama National League North in January by 6 points, with Darlington.

That’s great to see. I generally think that so long as you can get players that are good for the level you play and fit the tactic then most tactics will work at any level. Saying that my worry would have been facilities and standard of coaching but it looks like that hasn’t been an issue so far.

Have you built a big squad to try and cope with the intensity of the tactic and the large numbers of games with less fit players?

Haha, it did make me smile. I think that gif needs to be in every link from now on! Stuff click bait, this is motivational baiting 😂

Nope the squad isn't that big really. It did drop off towards the last 6 games out of nowhere and I finished second, but then it seemed to kick back in and I won comfortably in the playoffs.

It's a career I'm going to persevere with and see just how far Darlington can go with it.

Keep us in the loop :)

Successive promotions have taken me into the Football League! Still got 7 games remaining of the current Conference campaign though but looking forward to trying to add players to compete in the Football League. The current team are over 100 goals for the league season but I do have a few of the key players on loan.

That may be the issue. Brought some in but didn't have the money for big improvement.

Lower league can be a slow burn at times tbf. I guess this tactic does use a number of specialist roles so making sure they're up to standard would be required to dominate I think.

I'm not gunna lie though I've not really done a lower league save since the PSP days so maybe @Foxycan offer more help.
