Tactics [EME] 4-4-1-1 (Any team)

After many hours of frustration and testing in FMM 2019, I decided to try a formation I encountered in FMM 2014 that I always had trouble countering.

Currently testing with Lazio and Southampton, will update with pictures when I complete the season. 

Feel free to try it out! All feedback welcome.

First season completed with Lazio. Won the league by some margin. Personally I use control when my team is the favourite and counter when underdog.

This looks like a solid tactic for a first season (any team) or for small clubs (long term). However, setting it up for counter attacks will lead to a lack of goals if your team grows in reputation (odds always in your favour), as I've noticed that nearly every lesser team sets up very defensively from start to finish of the game once your team's reputation is high (after 2 or 3 successful seasons). This makes scoring goals increasingly difficult over time if you're not setup for final third  domination.

You’re right, I started using control when my team is favourite, works much better now that teams tend to park the bus against me. Thanks for the feedback

good working tactics mate ...  I got promoted with Burton and currently in year 2021 premier league... I was struggling to win with an amateur team but this tactics help me get back on winning track.

This is very similar to the tactic I used all throughout last years game and so far on this years game. I use slightly different roles and I usually push one of the wingers forward to AMR or AML position. I usually tweak mentality but never go below balanced. I find it a really reliable system if you’ve got right players.

Just finished testing with Frankfurt after making some changes.

I tried to base the tactic off Leicester during their title winning season

Not the highest scoring but defensively solid, and amazing in big games. No transfers made, only 3 loans in Jan; only Sanches proved useful.

Will update after trying it with a big team next

I’ve used this in my newest Leicester save, I like it but seems a little inconsistent, might be the quality of my players but will see how we finish the season off .

I'm currently still tweaking this tactic. I'm trying to find the best combination for the front two to get consistent goals as this formation is defensively solid but very low scoring. Any suggestions?
