Career 4 Countries, 4 Teams, All The Titles (RichD-Career)

Welcome to my latest career, which won’t be the usual career for me, I’ve decided I wanted a bit of a challenge.

So basically I will managing 1 team in each country that I have selected, these teams will be in lowest division I have selected. I am starting off in the Conference National, I was going to do league 2, but Italy only has 3 leagues. I will attempt to win every league/gain promotion until I win the top division. I will then move on to the next country and repeat this until I have completed this in all 4 countries. I will be trying various challenges hopefully from the site whilst doing this. Also it will only be one team in each country. If I get sacked, GAME OVER. I have made myself unknown to start the challenge but I will be selecting a team to start with.

So I chose these leagues because I’m not too adventurous with other leagues as I worry I won’t understand the format. But also I wanted to average out 4 leagues from each country, Germany only had 3, so I decided to start from the 5th tier in England. Can I achieve this all in 30 years? I’m not sure, haven’t tried something like this before. But it’s something that excites me and as someone who plays so regularly, it will keep me massively interested. I will also still play the challenges on the site in between playing this.

Team 1

So I decided to start with the longest challenge first and that was in National Conference, the team I’ve gone for isn’t too much of a surprise, with it being in Wales and them being taken over by Deadpool 😎

Wrexham

 

General Info

So the rebuild of Wrexham begins now, I have been wheeling and dealing for the past hour and basically have a brand new squad to use, still under budget which is great, trying to build two squads capable of winning promotion. Very frustrating though as we can only have 5 subs even though covid is going on.

I will no doubt be back tomorrow with an update.

Good luck with this man. The math is quite simple, you need to win a league every other season, I trust your tactical skills!

P.S. Not sure is a good idea to make other challenges in between, I did this last year and I've managed to loose the save file. I've saved one challenge over another so lost the save, be careful!

Thanks mate, I know I’m hoping I can get promoted every season and then have a couple of stabs at the main titles. I’m usually quite good with not saving over things but yeah it will be a risk, fingers crossed.

Season 1

Hello and welcome to the first season of my long term career. We start things off with Wrexham, hoping to make them champions of England/Wales 😉in the least amount of seasons as I can.

So to start with I sold my whole squad, no player left that was with the club previously, which was a huge risk with the relationships on the pitch and it did affect us for the first 10 games. Jordan Davies went in January for 2m which I couldn’t believe as he’s not great, he did play well though. I put all that money towards my wages until next season. Some of the signings were piss poor but did the job. I didn’t go for any of these free bug players from Barca, I did get a couple of good youngsters though.

FA Cup

So a great couple of results in the cup, dominated Carlisle and Newport and there division above us. Wolves however were a class above and truly gave us a battering.

Not going to bore you with all the fixtures from This, we pretty much won it comfortably, which is nice as it adds to one of the trophies I wanted to win throughout this.

I know we won the league, but I was really disappointed we didn’t win more games, our second team was very poor compared to our best 11 and it’s something I’ll have to sort out next year for sure. That’s our first season done.

This is my favourite bit, that 2m sale all went to my wages and it means we can spend a bit on frees next season, don’t intend on paying a transfer fee for anyone, but we’ll see.

I thought a few peoples systems would be quite similar, my midfielders and striker have a different player role in that save but the formation is the same 😁

Season 2

Hello and welcome back for season 2, as I’m typing this I was sure it was season 3 for some reason. After winning two trophies last season we were really hoping to push on and get another title at least.

So some nice business this summer and we got one of my favourite boys in over the summer somehow in Ryan Edmonson, so happy to get him in as we build a team for the next few years. Having that bigger wage budget from sales really helped us. I had big bids for some players but I didn’t feel it was the right time to sell, this being as we go up leagues, there value will increase and I’ll get more money.

Tactic

So the first couple of games I noticed our tactic from the conference wasn’t going to do it, we were conceding too many, so I had to do the watch extended highlights and try my best to pinpoint where the weak point were. I noticed the BWM in the DM bit would wander too much for this level, I decided to push him back and use 3 centre backs which I haven’t done for a while. I did want to go to a back 4 but I didn’t have any full backs by time season started. But maybe next season there will be another tweek.

Carabao Cup

So we beat Bolton first game away, then got handed Wolves again, I know it was 6-2, but performance was a big one, created plenty.

FA Cup

So again another good performance against a premiership team, we just didn’t have enough, I think the lack of pace defensively may have let us down.

Papa Johns Trophy

So we won the Papa John’s trophy, love the name. Not a great final as we didn’t play to our usual standards, big Stefan O’Connor to rescue, the former Newcastle man.

League 2

So a brilliant league campaign and not losing a game, 120 points will do is nicely. Boys really stepped up once we went to 3 at the back. We did only draw first games 4-4 and 2-2 but that showed me something was up and we made the changes required as we nearly always create the chances.

Top Player

Not great stats but boy did he play well, when I signed him I didn’t look at history, but he may be one of the ones that was on frees by accident. Honestly I feel like the No 10’s are overpowered. But happy he’s performing well, I’ve had a few bids for him.

Season 3

Hello and welcome back to season 3 of my title winning exploits around Europe. We go in to season 3 with Wrexham full of hope and ambition.

Some very nice business done over the summer, James Garner’s stats though had declined so much he was worth 5k when he joined. The boys who left for big money were decent, Camara especially.

League 1

So a great season for us but we didn’t actually take top spot until the final 3 games of the season as Reading were brilliant throughout, they had such a strong squad. Really settled on a tactic now and I hope it carries on in to the next.

Carabao Cup

No complaints here, they were the better team and we just couldn’t get going.

A nice cup run and we were unlucky to lose against Everton as we were the better team, love a good cup run with a lower league team.

Season 4

Hello cutie pies it’s me it is, you may remember me from such careers as.......yeah I can’t remember the name of the careers. But anyway let’s see how the championship went.

So a bit of business and some real good deals for us here, Fred came in and actually became the leader right off the bat and became our captain, he came in with decent stats enough to give us for this season and maybe next. Hannibal was signed on loan but he went back straight away as he didn’t actually fit the way I play.

Tactics

This is how the tactic looked most of the season, I did have a Roaming playmaker instead of DLP in league 1 but we came against better teams now. I think I’m going to go for a back 4 in the prem so going to have to change the way I set up completely, I just think we conceded way too many chances with no proper full backs.

The Championship

So another fantastic league season for us with a great total of points. I couldn’t believe how strong this league was, some teams had great players, especially Leicester, Sheffield United and Newcastle United. So to only lose two games I was delighted. We however finished on 99 goals which would make @Aaron Thornton’s head go🤣

Carabao Cup

So we beat premier league Bournemouth in the round before, but fell to Sheffield Wednesday on penalties, did not make me happy, let me tell you!
