Career 2K in Glasgow - Season 5

Like @RichD, I can’t seems to get back into my Bayern TT, not yet. I decided to do something else first.

Before I reveal both club and player, everyone feel free to guess them. I’ll give the clue for the player. It’s not that hard so have fun guessing 😁.

Okay enough joking here. You got it right it’s Celtic 😂. Honestly I really got a plan to get 3K but not sure if it’s possible so we’re going to target 1K first

Haha, sounds great, looking forward to it and anything is possible at Celtic.

I'm seriously going for a 3x1KC and think I can get there (might take 20 seasons), but not 100% sure it's possible. I had two separates starts (both one full season): one at Celtic, one at Beijing. Beijing had about 10 games less over the season, but the same amount of goals, so I chose that (although might be stupid as I don't know if I can hang on to the players there). Gotta write it up! 

Anyway, good luck! I won't be surprised if you get to 3K, I believe you can do it! 😄

According to my calculation, 2.5K is possible maybe I need international goals to help to achieve 3K? I’ll change the title to 2K

Yeah, just guessing (your calculations will be more accurate), but I'd think 2K to 2.5K should be doable. 3K could be a little hard, so maybe ITN goals would help there. 

Oh.. hangon, I don't think Germany is playable at ITN level? 🙁

2kc is easier said than done and I’m finding players decline quicker on this version.

The Club

Guessed by @Scratch easily, It’s his favourite Celtic FC.

The Player

The clues aren’t straightforward but should be easy to guess and no @Scratch, sadly it’s not Timo Werner. I was thinking about it but that’ll be in another career 😄.

Clue 1: He’s the youngest ever goalscorer for his club

Clue 2: He plays in Germany

Clue 3: He’s Chelsea’s youth graduate 

And the player is....

Season 1

It’s a very surprising season for me. I was targeting 65 goals and probably with just 1 trophy which is the league but it went the other way.

Transfers

I sold most of their star players and replaced them with young talents. We bought some of the highest potential youngsters like Unuvar, Moriba, Meslier and Mendes.

I bought Cantwell and De Ketelaere just because I like them. Charlie McNeill because he’s a former Man City’s academy player. The others are just some Scottish players that look interesting.

Tactic

I tried to make a more Gung-Ho style of my 90 goals Werner tactic so I went with 2 atb. I also used defensive mentality after reading @Scratch ‘s logic behind the usage of this and after a few guys saying it’s the best way to get goals from striker in the General Discussion.

Here’s it. Moriba and De Ketelaere were our first choice since the start. I used Brown for the first half of the season until he starts to decline and switched to Unuvar. I had Diego Laxalt and Mohamed Elyounoussi but they’re not in the screenshot because both of them went back to their parent clubs.

League Table

Comfortably won the league. Nothing much to say.

Manager Profile and History

Surprisingly we won both cups and even went to the Champions League Quater-Final. Not only that we also got an unexpected 3-2 win against FC Barcelona on aggregate. We’re just unlucky to lose against Sevilla. Cantwell, Unuvar and Ajer were injured with Musiala being tired.

Musiala’s Stats

Got his pace, strength, movement and shooting upgrade to 15+. Waiting for aerial but perhaps we should mentor him.

He absolutely killing it! It’s an impressive 79 goals in 58 games! Expect 100 next season? I told all of you that I got 150 but I didn’t say Musial scored 150 didn’t I?

Team Stats

Our backup striker, Leigh Griffiths being out 3rd top scorer. Elyounoussi should’ve been 2nd with 18 goals but he returned to Southampton.

Todd Cantwell got the most assists with 34 assists, Diego Laxalt got 22 assists but went back to AC Milan while Mikey Johnston got himself 21 assists.

That's a massive for the first season. You'll be pushing 100 in no time, then well past that and on your way to a massive total. Especially because you have a lot of youngsters in the team - whenever I do that season 2 is much bigger than season 1 because they've upgraded so much...

I expect the same. My only problem is Moriba and Mendes got the “needs to mature problem”
