Always been like that. Marc Vaughan (lead dev for the game) once gave an explanation, something like it takes them a little time to settle into the club or something.

I really hate this, once I train them up again the stats never restore to the same values. I buy a fully trained player and stats drop but their development is complete so I can't regain the lost stats. Same when I sell a fully trained player, their stats improve after some time to more than I could ever get them to

I really want the future mobile version to add a feature that has been available on PC since the game was called Championship Manager, which is 'set nickname' for players so that after 5-10 seasons I can have a few Ronaldinho instead of Ronaldo Carlos Oliveira da Silva dos Santos Júnior. If it's not possible to make it free, I'd still be happy if they add that feature to the poor IGE.

Just reading the blog about the future releases of FM getting a new 3D engine.

It got me thinking how much I still like the 2D pitch—circles with boots (well I’ve always imagined they have boots 😂)

Seeing a 3D simulation of the game is probably in last place on my wishlist. Especially in this mobile version. After I've seen what the 3D looks like on the fully-fledged PC version I came away quite disappointed. 2D is just fine for me, it hides the shortcomings of the match engine a bit better. On the PC the players look like bumbling baffons way too often and the "simulation" is quite poor.

I have a player who’s about to retire who has decided to join the coaching staff. I didn’t offer him a role, he just turned up.

 

I even sacked him to see if the slot remained (it didn’t) and after a while he came back 😂

Update on that: 

 

I know have 5 domestic matches in 7 days leading up to a Europa knockout round. Thinking about just playing my greyed out youth for a few of them. 

 

On track for 80 matches this season I think.

I’ve honestly never seen fixture congestion like that in any FM version 😵 three games on consecutive days, wow. Five in 7 days

What do you think are the chances of reviving the career of what should be world-class player, but one that, in typical FM AI fashion, has been completely neglected? Despite paying for him an enormous sum of money... Also, typical FM AI. He's supposed to have a lot of potential left, which is kinda expected, his skills should be way higher, but at the age of 29 I'm not sure if it's realistic to expect anything.

If not first team loan out have them train a role with stamina e.g bbm or wing back and also choose that as the special training if first team just the same but play them.

if past 22/23 your pretty must not gonna improve more than 1/2 points

Somehow managed to get him on loan 1 at Aberdeen one year after he was sold for 103m 😂 been effing up my team’s professionalism since January am now going to release a player the has potential to be best cm in the world from the Scottish league this maybe why very ambitious is a dangerous trait
