Man United Academy Challenge

Manchester United have a rich history in football. They are giants of the game and known globally. They also have an amazing track record with their academy players. They have went almost 4000 games and 80 years of fielding at least one homegrown player. That is so very impressive and shows not only the volume but the quality which has came through that academy over the years. We all remember the class of '92 after all.

So with this in mind I designed this challenge.

The Challenge

This is a one season challenge which is scored and will have a leaderboard. 

The task is as follows -

1. Start a new game load england and any other leagues you like
2. Select a premier league team to manage
3. Sell or demote any players who are not in the "Academy list" (see below)
4. Sign enough players from the "academy list" to form a squad
5. Do as best you can with the squad you now have

Points Scoring

There will be positive and negative points.

Positive:

1. 100 points for winning the league
2. 50 points for 2nd-4th
3. 30 points for 5th-6th
4. 50 points per domestic cup win
5. 25 points for domestic cup runner up
6. 20 points for top league scorer
7. 20 points for top league assists
8. 30 points for league player of the year
9.  30 points for young league player of the year
10. 50 points for european player of the year
11. 10 points for each player in the EPL team of the year
12. 20 points for each player in the world 11
13. Your league points total is added to your score
14. Your goal difference is added/taken away from your score

Negatives 

1. -50 points for using Manchester United
2. -30 points for using Chelsea or Manchester City
3. -20 points for using Arsenal, Spurs or Liverpool

This hopefully will balance the availability of academy players/funds available a little bit. 

Finally, if you are fired, you lose the challenge.

That is a good challenge @kts365 maybe you need to buy a TV instead of spending all your time coming up with these challenges

Great challenge! Reminds me a lot of the old challenge @William came up with where you'd bring back the players a club had during a certain 'glory era'. For example you'd recreate the City squad during the 11/12 title winning campaign.
