Career Ian - The Terrifying Trio - TT - Tekin 1kc (Season 19)

Recommended Posts

Season Six

It’s safe to say my boys haven’t exactly set the world alight so far and it’s beginning to look like this might be a close run thing in terms of them actually reaching our target. I’ve been looking at things and there’s a few areas of my squad that I think are just not right with one or two attributes out of place but we’ll see how they get on this year before I make any drastic changes.

The Terrifying Trio

Jan Thielmann

This is more or less him fully developed I’d say.

9B6F18C4-CE1D-486C-90CD-99A9437CC8DB.thumb.png.2d5a3099da8e00449c6374275949b1eb.png

How many goals did he score?

He scored 23 goals in 44 games which is poor really. He did play in less games than last season as he suffered a little injury but it doesn’t alter the fact that he needs to up his game from now on.

Fabio Lorenzini

I’m still hopeful that his stamina and strength will improve.

How many goals did he score?

He knocked in 42 goals in 52 games as he had his best season to date.

7BE9E68F-A2D3-4F6E-A70A-A637BE7D0192.thumb.png.1840dd8ffe041350f4dd53a1a7042e07.png

Emincan Tekin

Similar to Fabio I’m just hoping for his stamina and strength to reach green level.

54ED3F97-B6BE-44EC-A8DA-C1CE53F26B53.thumb.png.4a8f861dcb62895d393676ad28268f85.png

How many goals did he score?

He scored 22 goals in 42 games and although he played a few less games than last year it’s just not the required return we are looking for.

24CD3A75-CD62-490E-A940-FD8ED345DC11.thumb.png.28d343ff2b7a4d65f64eb77b53641102.png

So with a combined total of 87 goals our boys have fallen short of what is required and I’ve got no choice but to make a few changes for next season.

Transfers

We brought in a few new faces to replace a few older players.

  • Weston McKennie (Central Midfielder) - A steady all round midfielder.
  • Hamza Mendyl (Left Wing Back) - I had to replace an ageing Telles and this lad was the player I chose and hopefully he’ll do the job.
  • Assane Dioussé (Central Midfielder) - I’ve used this player before and he should do a decent job for us.
  • Eulânio Gaiteiro (Centre Forward) - We Brought in this young lad as a back up to our trio.

A few young players graduated from our academy who will hopefully feature in the first team over the next few years.

Full list of all transfers below.

Team Performances

We won everything going domestically but failed in the final of the Champions League as we lost out to Real Madrid in a tightly contested affair. The league was a walk in the park as we only dropped points in one game but we just couldn’t get enough goals which was highly frustrating.

Champions League

We fought our way through the knockout stages and found ourselves in the final where Real Madrid awaited us. They got off to a great start with Harry Kane netting a first half brace. In the second half we gave it a good go and a goal from Fabio made for an interesting final 15 minutes but ultimately we came up short and this one still eludes us.

This Season/Overall (Goals)

Jan Thielmann: 23/150

Fabio Lorenzini: 42/145

Emincan Tekin: 22/157

This Season Total: 87 goals

Triple Threat Total: 452/1500 goals

Another frustrating season and changes will need to be made here as we are starting to stink the place out. The way this is going I won’t even get a new stadium for the club!

I’ve decided I will rename this thread to something more appropriate if my boys don’t score at least 100 goals next season.

Thanks for reading and all comments are greatly appreciated.

Season Seven

We came close to breaking the 100 goal season barrier a few years ago but since then have suffered a couple of poor seasons where our boys have been stuck with 80 odd goal returns. No need to dress it up as it’s clear we need more and hopefully this year will be the year our boys really kick on.

The Terrifying Trio

Jan Thielmann

He is what he is now, a decent player and we need him to up his game.

14418229-D80B-4732-BE05-F8D94C70B018.thumb.png.18686485e3eec8848812340c50e8d866.png

How did he perform this season?

He scored 25 goals in 48 games which isn’t great so we’ll be needing more from the other two if we are going to hit the 100 goal mark.

AD5B9D13-0AD6-4AE8-A2AC-D19CFE73CE2B.thumb.png.acc7654f2c6490b2bf086b22298e8d01.png

Fabio Lorenzini

Again he’s looking decent now and whilst he’s not a world beater you can see by his attributes that he should have plenty of goals in him.

139E3E37-4547-4B75-9F62-8E35FA5173CD.thumb.png.674da671ce36d3f53c9b37c02b8ed4ab.png

How did he perform this season?

How managed 40 goals in 49 games which is decent enough but we’ll still be needing a steady return from our third lad if we are to get to our target.

Emincan Tekin

He looks like he’s the best player out of our trio but one thing I do wish is that I’d picked at least one player with a decent number for aggression as it is an attribute I like in a striker and I feel them all having a pitiful number there is slightly hindering us.

How did he perform this season?

He scored 40 goals in 47 games which means our trio have finally crossed the 100 goal barrier.

So we now know that our boys have stepped it up a bit and now we’ll see how the team got on starting with the transfers.

Transfers

We brought a few players in for decent fees as money isn’t really proving a problem now. I won’t go through them all as we are getting to the stage where the majority are regens but the full list is below.

Team Performances

We finally won the Champions League as we beat Juventus in the final. There was no competition domestically and it was nice to score 120 goals.

Supertaça

Rio Ave were our opponents and they didn’t pose much threat with just two shots both of which were off target. We would’ve liked more goals but at least both of the goals were scored by members of our Terrifying Trio.

Taça de Portugal

Porto offered a bit more threat in the Taça de Portugal cup final but we still made light work of it with a 2-0 victory.

Champions League

We haven’t really had much luck in this competition and once Serdar was sent off I had a feeling we were going to miss out on the big one again. I kept the three up top after the sending off and Fabio delivered big style with a nice hat trick so we can celebrate finally winning a European trophy.

I’ve got a German midfielder in now which brings up the possibility of completing the Gundogan Victory challenge and we came close this year but couldn’t get the all important 9-0 result.

The next target is to just increase the total but I’m hoping that we can maybe get them over the 120 goal mark in the next few years.

Season Eight

Our beautiful trio powered through the 100 goal barrier last season at long last and it’s fair to say they proved a few people wrong as many had started to seriously doubt their ability.

I won’t let them rest on the laurels though as the job is far from complete and they’ve shown previously that they can follow up a great season with a poor one as we found out when in season four they combined to score 98 goals only to come back next season and only muster a disappointing goal tally of 83.

So let’s now see how they got on.

The Terrifying Trio

Our boys are more or less fully developed now and although they have weaknesses in certain areas I can’t help but be proud of the progress they’ve made as they’ve turned into fine players.

How many goals did they get?

Jan Thielmann

Jan the Man blasted home 40 goals in 50 games in a fabulous campaign for him.

Fabio Lorenzini

Fabio scored a respectable 37 goals in 48 matches to keep the boys on track for a decent total.

Emincan Tekin

He had a decent season too as like Jan the Man he scored 40 goals but it took him 52 games to manage it.

So that’s a fantastic total of 117 goals which is a decent step up and the way things are going I’ll have a fight on my hands to keep them as surely some of the bigger European clubs will start sniffing around.

Transfers

All incomings are regens now with Yan Matheus Defendi being a nice Brazilian wing back, Ragnar Nottbeck a promising striker and Mansour Demeyer a new back up goalkeeper. Some promising players graduated from the academy and some might make the first team in a few years but if not we should be able to get a few quid for them.

Team Performances

A clean sweep of all trophies available with just three draws in the league and a hefty goal difference of 113. The Champions League was also fairly plain sailing with Dortmund defeated in the final in a one sided match.

Club World Championship

We finally got the chance to play in this competition and had no real trouble winning it as our trio got a goal each in a 4-1 win over América but there is a bug that’s just this second caught my eye as the game thinks my player scored for them which is strange. Hopefully they’ve counted that as a goal for him. :D

Our boys have had another fantastic season which is easily their best yet and also the team now look like they are going to dominate European football for years to come. We move onto next season now with things looking rather good.

Season Nine

Our trio had their best season to date in last years campaign as they managed to score a total of 117 goals between them. In terms of the challenge and reaching the total we seem well on course but all it would take is a couple of poor seasons and then we’d be in trouble so we need to keep our focus.

The Terrifying Trio

Jan Thielmann

Jan had a great campaign last season scoring 40 goals but unfortunately he couldn’t match that this year as his tally plummeted to 31 goals in 55 games. Not the best of starts here.

Fabio Lorenzini

Fabio also failed to perform as well as last season as he only scored 26 goals in 48 games in a frustrating campaign for him.

Emincan Tekin

We needed a good return from Tekin here and whilst he produced a nice total of 46 goals in 53 games it’s not quite enough.

So our boys could only score 103 goals this season and we just can’t be happy with that after their 117 goal haul last year. I’ve noticed a pattern emerging which I won’t bore you with too much but it involves the aggression attribute. Basically as you can see my trio all have a pitiful number for this attribute with Jan’s number of six being the highest and the rest of my squad are fairly mixed with some players high and some low. Anyway, I’ve observed that when I select more of the high aggression players then those are the games I usually dominate and win with the higher score lines. I’m thinking now that game just wants a high average number throughout the team for this and maybe a few other attributes and I’d say usually you won’t have to think about this as it should balance out but three of my players are just so low there that I think it is hindering us at times. I’ll be experimenting with this next season as I’m planning on replacing a few members of my squad with high aggression players and we’ll see what happens.

Transfers

Plenty of business done and some took place during January and at the end of the season as I continue to try and rebuild the squad for the next few years. The incomings are all regens I believe except for Nicolò Zaniolo who I’ve seen mentioned on the forum a lot recently and was the highest valued midfielder on this save so I decided to give him a shot.

Final Thoughts

A poor campaign for the trio but I suppose anything over a ton keeps us on course for a chance of reaching the target provided the players can keep going into their early to mid thirties. I have a few ideas up my sleeve as I mentioned further up so no need to panic at this stage.

We move over to next season now where we try to get back to the bigger numbers.

That aggression thing is interesting. I know a lot of people see high aggression as a bad thing, but I don’t.

It’s just something I’ve noticed on this save. Not sure there’s anything in it but I’ll use this as a little test. I love the attribute too and on strikers but I overlooked it here when searching for my boys. I know my Korean had a high number and it did him no harm.

Mitro had high aggression for me and it never did him any harm as he never got sent off and picked up very few yellow cards for me. It may be there is something hidden in the attributes we don’t see that means aggression can be a positive or a negative. In the full fat game I know that players have a hidden attribute for dirtiness which combined with high aggression is going to lead to bookings and sendings off.

The lads are doing great considering they are unknowns and you look on course.

Thank you, Yeah I’m sure I heard Marc mention that dirtiness is also a hidden attribute on this game but I might be wrong there so can’t confirm it. I love it anyway for forwards as generally you think of high aggression being great for midfielder and centre backs as they usually have good tackling and even positioning so they can get a hard but fair tackle in. In forwards I like to think that it’ll make them more keen to go in for a one on one challenge which might be using their strength to brush off defenders rather than say tackling.

Season Ten

Our boys had a fairly poor season last year; well I suppose poor could be a bit harsh as they still managed 103 goals combined but when they had scored 117 the previous season you can’t help but be slightly disappointed. I was determined to get them back up to at least above 110 so let’s see how they got on.

The Terrifying Trio

Jan Thielmann

Jan the Man scored 27 goals in 50 which isn’t anything great if we’re honest.

ECB5E30B-56B9-4F38-BBC0-A2E902A185AD.thumb.png.92aae36d22f703275864505c6e8e733a.png

Fabio Lorenzini

Fabio knocked in 31 goals in 45 games which isn’t his best and we’ll now be looking for Tekin to do the business otherwise we’ll be looking at a poor session.

39424CEC-C382-43EF-B74A-0DB693DEB912.thumb.png.d3f2e65413c51691ff18920b288e4d32.png

Emincan Tekin

He smashed it with 59 goals in 55 games which is easily the best tally any of our trio have managed so far.

So Tekin flew the flag for the boys this season but it isn’t quite as simple as that. My system is three up top and whilst the goals seem to get distributed fairly evenly the guy in the middle tends to get the most so I often rotate them but Tekin was doing so well there this season I just left him to rack up the goals. Anyway our boys hit a nice 117 goals this season so they are back on track.

Transfers

I mentioned last season about trying to sign more players with high aggression to make up for my three up tops horribly low numbers there. Well that’s what I did as we signed a few new midfielders and defenders with high aggression which wasn’t so easy as I had to make sure the rest of their attributes were up to scratch. They are all regens so won’t go through them but I’m happy with the business we managed to do.

Score

This Season/Overall (Goals)

Jan Thielmann: 27/273

Fabio Lorenzini: 31/279

Emincan Tekin: 59/342

This Season Total: 117 goals

Triple Threat Total: 894/1500 goals

Conclusion

A nice season for our trio as they got back up to the bigger numbers with 117 goals between them. I’m happy enough at this range but would like them to get over 120 in at least one of the seasons if we could so that’s the target now.

Thanks for reading and all comments are greatly appreciated.

On the right road Ian. Keep it up.

Cheers Rob, They are on track now and whilst we won’t be seeing a 1k from any of them I’ll be happy with the TT if they can get it.

Just caught up on this @Ian, and well done so far you’ve done a fantastic jobs with three no body’s (well, I would say so). I reckon you get 1.5 by time they’ve turned 30

Thank you Kyle, I’ll certainly try my best to get the total as quickly as possible.
