Ok, so i am going crazy for challenges so i am starting one on the release day. Of course, it's a short 3 season challenge that i posted so i have nothing to lose here:

I will be trying to get my Strikerless formation to work and of course the only club i can think of starting my FMM 20 with:

Specifically chose this challenge as there's nothing to lose. There's no limit on trophies won or getting sacked, just need to submit your score. Completely in my alley. 🤣🤣🤣

Season 1

Sold Alisson and Firmino which made me a villain in the camp. Firmino was not needed as i am playing a strikerless formation with Mane and Salah playing as IF's on either side and my chosen player in middle. Alisson was sold due to the high transfer fee.

But i won their adulation back with the transfer of Donnarumma. Apart from David, Pjanic and Danilo were picked up as options for midfield and wing-back.

Amazing. My greatest ever 1st FMM season. A clean sweep with 100 points in the league. Couldn't have asked anything better.

Mane finished 3rd in the goal scoring list, behind Kane and Giroud and Pjanic, just 2 assists behind Eriksen and 1 behind Lo Celso and Bernardo Silva.

The bug reared it's head in the Champions League and Community Shield thus could not capture the hattrick and brace hit by David in the two matches.

Derbies are a new feature and it was well celebrated as we picked up 3 straight North-West derby wins against Man Utd.

Salah picked up the Premier League awards and a place in the World XI which is now apparently given in January now while Mane wins the Best Player in Europe.

Another new feature is mentoring which you can see Van Dijk has picked up Gomez as his protege and shockingly Andy F'N Lonergan is mentoring Donnarumma!!!!

 

Best Player & Best Reserves Player

Mane was the best player by a mile with 32 goals and 16 assists while Brewster tore up the Reserves League & U-21 matches with 25 goals from 29 matches.

Oh wow!!! He is a wonderkid now. Never thought about that.  He did well considering he is just 20 yrs with 28 goals and 14 assists from 57 matches.

Season 2

Transfer History

Forgot the transfers screen but sold Mane for a princely sum of 127 mil and got a host of wingers in Rodrigo de Paul, Mahrez, Oyarzabal while Dybala was signed by the club without my consent. Also signed Brozovic and of course, Lozano.

Salah picked up the Ballon D'Or and Europe's Best while i picked up the World Coach and PL MOTY. Lozano wins the North American POTY and Oyarzabal picked up the YPOTY.

For the second year in a row, we finished second to a Manchester club, in this case Man Utd. Awoniyi and Brewster finished top 2 in the goals with 19 & 14 respectively. Also, i think this is new to FMM 20. I got a request from my Ass Man that Awoniyi should be debuted against Aston Villa as it is weak opposition. Sadly, i am playing strikerless so he is not needed.

 

Hirving Lozano

Didn't get the expected return from Lozano as he hit only 37 goals and 12 assists from 61 matches - a little better than David.

CWC will be undergoing a change from 2021 onwards as we find out when we were drawn with Auckland City and Santos.

 

Challenge Update

Mexico - Hirving Lozano - (37+12) = 49 points

Total = 91 points

 

We need to up the ante for the third and final season. And the only man who can take this challenge to the next level:

Finally after finishing runners up for two years in a row, our reserve team won the title with Brewster leading the goals with 19 and Woodburn finished 3rd with 11.
