Ok, next up in my badges is number 3: Redknapping

 

I am writing this after "completing" the challenge, but I realised after that I'd actually failed it as I hadn't sold enough players by the 12th... Annoyingly I'd approved the sale on the 12th, but it didn't go through until the 14th

 

But anyway here's my first attempt history (for the records)

That would have gotten my 192 points. Which would have been middle of the leader board.

So hopefully I'll try to recreate my success and get a few less losses and a few more goals and break that 200 point barrier! It's already underway, with almost the same squad, I realised I needed another keeper and some more central midfielders (so hopefully I can get my players doing as well).

Right so second attempt... Much better!

 

I tried to pretty much make the same transfers as I was happy with the squad, just needed a few improvements here and there.

I made sure I made enough transfers early enough this time and sold all players bar 3 (and one of them was sold in January):

So how did we do?

Well we won the Pizza Plate again (I need to rely on penalties for most of these games, which is a shame)

 

And we won the league relatively comfortably

 

Here's my top scorer:

Ricky didn't really get going this time, which is a shame as I honestly think he could almost be 1k able... But he might not get good enough for the top leagues and Europe... I'll leave that to better men than me (at the minute).

Thanks guys, I do like a solid defence. Which is weird coming from a Newcastle fan old enough to fully remember "The Entertainers".

Yes it does mean you've got less players up front to score goals with. But I reckon I can make my tactic good enough with a few tweaks of roles and attacking instructions to make it 1k worthy.
