Perhaps not the funniest to others, but funny to me - I learned to turn off the "Assistant handles friendly matches" option only after losing my hard-fought appointment to the English national team.

Got the job... suddenly 3 weeks later after not having played a match (due to them being friendlies), I was unceremoniously sacked. Took me a couple minutes to figure out why, and then I saw the scorelines. 0-2 to South Korea, 1-3 to Russia, 0-3 to Wales. Ooops.

Something's not right on your game, perhaps you holidayed? Because I always tick the 'assistant handles friendlies' in every single career. Any time I manage a national team I control friendly games. The option is there to skip club friendly matches, not national ones.

I don't think that is too shocking tbh, they have a decent team currently but it is rather old, they "wasted" their golden generation but also had tough groups each time, the regens of the golden generation would smash many teams, just imagine a new Toure or a new Drogba .
