Lian Cortez passed the save which is before the match against Iraq to me, so I will start my second attempt with the match against Iraq.

 

 

 

Fine win over Iraq but no goals for Ibini.

 

Bad news 1 : Ibini released by Lugo, he's not playing well in club.

 

 

Bad News 2 :

Ibini retired at the end of the season!! No!!! He still have 50 goals ( adding in his fist two goals ) to reach the 200 goals target. Will the challenge end here?

 

So now Ibini have to score 50 goals before he retire, can he do it?

He is only 32. I'm assuming it is because he hasn't got a club. You might need to offer him a massive contract.

Fixtures and World Ranking


I'm not sure why, but I received the save in November with no matches to play for 66 days. But my first task was to prevent Ibini from retiring.

Ibini

As you can see he is a free agent, and as in Kun Aguero's update, he was planning to retire.

Job Centre

Only one job available, and it's Wellington Phoenix.

I don't think there was much competition for the job.

With Bernie back at a club, we could get back to focusing on the goal challenge and after a month and a half of holidaying club matches, we had a World Cup Qualifier against Qatar.

It was good to have Bernie scoring in a big win for Australia

There were no more matches for the national team, so I simmed the next month on holiday, when I got back, I found this message from the board.

The team finished seventh in the league, just missing out on qualifying for the finals series, although I was probably sacked for the lack of presence on the touchline, rather than poor results.

As I regarded Ibini's contract to be important as to whether or not the challenge was completed, I applied for other jobs, to prevent Bernie from being released. Luckily I found a job at his favoured club, who also happened to be league runners-up and winners of the finals series.

First Order of Business (again)

This time I signed him on a five year deal, so no need to make another list.

Ibini went largely unnoticed in Australia's large victory.

Match Five

A disappointing loss, but it's the goals that count.

Confederations Cup
After JustMikePlays won the Asian Cup Australia qualified for the Confederations Cup at the end of the 2024/25 season.

Group Stage

Not a very good display against England, but a satisfying draw and a goal for Ibini.

Another goal for Ibini, but he hasn't scored more than one a game yet.

Ibini's goal and Mat Ryan's saves were the bright spark in this loss to Italy.

Group Table

We were somewhat fortunate to go through, as Egypt beat England at the same time as we lost to Italy.

Knockout Stage
The Confederations Cup goes straight to the semi-finals in the group stage.

A wonderful performance from the veteran, proving he's still got it at a very high level.

The Final
We faced Italy in the final, where we hoped for a better result than the last meeting between the two teams.

I was very glad for Ibini to score in a final, in which, for the last part of the match, I believed Australia would win.



The FFA were rather disappointed with the loss.

A friendly win over Jamaica in which Ibini hit two.

I finished the season on the day of squad submission for the friendly with Bosnia.

Ok so I'm going to be blunt here this doesn't deserve a big finish!

I'll go over what happened in the season…

Some may have seen me streaming my effot earlier today and will know what's coming!!

One thing was that I had 2 games early on then a whole season of waiting!

I holidayed the Club stuff as it just wasn't relevant so we got sacked from that! Which was expected but Ibini was all good in a contract til 2030 so not a problem!

So firstly the two early matches!!

So now was a tedious wait all season for the WORLD CUP!!!

Cameroon, USA, and Portugal! Tough group!! Could we get out of it!

Firstly we had a friendly away to Phillippines to get Ibini's total up!
