2021/2022 season

When I stepped into FMM Vibe Community's shoes I have to admit I was a little nervous. There has been some brilliant scores and lots of trophies and I hoped to keep up that tradition.

I knew exactly who I wanted to replace Lacazette. A player who has done wonders for me at England and could with a good performance this season become my favourite player in this years game. He cost me £91 million so I hope he was worth it.

Something I noticed about the squad was although I had a lot of players at the peak of there career, I was a little lacking in up and coming players.

I decided my transfer policy would be to sell anyone over 30 and replace with younger players.

 

Greizmann and Schurrle both came under that catergory although it was a risk to sell them to league rivals I feel the club will benefit in the long term. I also had Gaitan and Lacazette to sell but there high wages put other clubs off. I sent Lacazette to the 'B' team to partner up with this guy upfront.

I felt sorry for Luis rotting in the reserves so I offered him the chance to join the coaching staff which he took. I also paid for a coaching course to get him to silver badge.

Signings in

A steal at £3.5 million

I hope the young lads will become the future stars of this team in support of the striker. I choose Bernardeschi as I was lacking in left footed wide players at at 27 could come straight into the team and flourish

So had I made the right choices? Only results, goals and trophies would provide the answer.

European Super Cup 

It was great to get that 1st trophy in the cabinet but even better to see Rashford get his first goal for the club

Spanish Super Cup

 

Trophy number 2 in the bag and a hat trick for my boy. Shame who got the Real goal!

World Club Cup

We became the best side in the world with an easy win.

Copa Del Rey

We took on lower league opposition in the first two rounds getting through easily (sorry forgot screenshots). This set up a Quarter Final clash with Sevilla. We lost the first leg away 2-0 so we needed a performance in the 2nd leg.

Champions League

Group stage went very well

We took on Schalke in the 1st Knockout Round. A very straight forward aggregate win.

Next up Rashfords old side Man Utd in the Quarter Final.

Why did you do it Eric? A stupid foul on the half way line and we have a mountain to climb.

Its was always going to be difficult after the first leg and although we created the best chances we went out.

La Liga

Unfortunately we where unable to retain our title. We drew far to many games through the season and this cost us. In defence we where very good but just look at the amount of goals we scored. In March we where top by 5 points but just look at the run we went on. This run cost us the League and Champions League.

Rashfords Performance

This was the only redeeming feature of the season. Marcus was absolutely awesome netting 44 goals for the season. As you can see there simply wasn't enough goals from the other players within the team and that cost us the chance of major silverware.

My favourite game of the whole season was also Marcus best game for us.

Conclussion

Its hard to claim that my turn was a success. Football is judged by trophies and on that count I really did fail. I am very proud of the performance of Marcus Rashford. I definitely got the best out of him throughout the season but probably to the detriment to the rest of the team. I hope that the younger players I brought in will have some success over the next few seasons and that I have contributed to the rebuilding of the squad in the long term.

Excellent season mate. Unlucky on the silverware front but like you said some of the rest players couldn't help out super Marcus but great season overall.

Good job on rejuvenating the team. Afaik this challenge is all about getting them goals in so who needs silverware. 44gls is top. So a top season

Screw the trophies, you broke 30 and that's all that matters! Solid season mate! 

The thing with goal challenges is you need to value the goal. I'd take a 2-1 loss as long as my striker score my one goal. The only advantage of doing well in everything is it leads to extra games and more opportunities for the striker

Hope my post didn't come across to negative. I was a bit down after that run which cost us the league and Champ league and I think once I knew Rashford was going to get a good score I was more focused on winning trophies. I haven't had much luck with goal challenges before so I'm very pleased with my score and the way I set the team up to provide for Marcus.

I was looking through the save and found this. Really pleased that he was crowned world player of the year.

Started my save now....I have a question: Pls,must we sign a well known striker....I am asking because most of the well known strikers are old,so am I free to sign any striker (maybe from real Madrid academy)

I'd say try and use real players, not regens, but yeah, any striker mate.

An attacking midfielder(Martin odegaard) in my team is performing better(scoring) than the main striker....So if its not compulsory its a striker,I would have made him my main man and target for above 30 goals

I actually thought of doing that with griezmann but realised he was already in the club and had played two season which meant that I had to sell him.

On the other hand,happy to see Eric has been a key player for all of you guys,I never thought he would be around here for a long time.

My player is ROMELU LUKAKU,the new Manchester united no.9....

I planned on using Martin odegaard when I signed him from Madrid but He was trying to balance Assists and Goals as an Attacking Midfielder.... In this challenge I needed a player,position and role which is only meant for scoring goals....And that player was ROMELU LUKAKU,Now 28 in the game and I signed him for £60m from a rival team,Real Madrid.....
