Career 1759 goes for a 1k with Parrott (Completed)

A good season after his injury plagued one. Hopefully 1 or maybe 2 more seasons and you'll be done.

 

With the praise are you doing last performance or current form? And private or public?

I've found that I was doing last performance publically (what  the assistant said he'd prefer) everytime he got a hat trick and it didn't seem to make a difference, but the occasional private one made more impact.

Thanks, I’ve only used current form and private so far and I do it as often as I’m able to as it greys out after so you have to wait a few weeks. It only pushes morale up one or two but it makes a difference as on poor and very poor sometimes the striker just can’t score.

Season 14

Last season Parrott got 74 goals to take him within 72 goals of his 1k target. Can he complete the job this season?

Transfers

I decided to let money flow a bit this season as I felt we needed to improve in certain areas. We brought in two quality centre banks in Hendrichs and Bentancur.   We bought Campo to play in midfield and D’Agostino was brought in to play in either wing back position. We let two centre backs go in Morini and Cabazas and a few other squad players went for free. Trent wouldn’t sign a new deal so he was also let go.

This season Tierney, Upamecano and Pulisic all retired having spent a good few seasons at the club.

We drew just the one game this season in the league.

We beat Lyon 2-1 with Parrott getting a goal.

European Super Cup

Parrott got on the scoresheet again as we beat Man Utd 2-0 in the Super Cup.

Club World Championship

We won 4-1 with a Parrott managing a goal.

Coupe de la Ligue BKT

We won 2-0 against Monaco in a one sided final.

French Cup

We played OM again in another final and Parrott came back from a small injury to get a goal in a comfortable 3-0 win.

Champions Cup

We hammered Real Madrid 5-0 in the final and Parrott lit the place up with a hat trick.

Parrott’s Season

Parrott managed to get 67 goals this season which leaves him just 5 short of his target. I’m happy with the return as he’s still unhappy and wants a new challenge so keeping his morale up is proving difficult. He had a few spells where he just couldn’t score for weeks. Also I’ve included a screenshot which shows that his 41 goals from season one have disappeared from his history which is why it shows his total as 954 instead of 995. I’ve seen this happen to other members so I was kind of expecting it to happen at some point.

Conclusion

I would have liked to have got the 5 goals needed to get him over the line but I’m ok with this as it’s proving difficult keeping him happy and at one point I thought we’d be luckily to get to 50 goals. One thing I’ve noticed is him being unhappy doesn’t seem to affect him in the big games; it’s against the lesser teams where you’re expecting lots of goals that he can’t seem to produce.

Anyway he’s got one more year left on his deal and he only needs 5 goals to reach his target so hopefully he won’t break his leg in pre season or something like that. 😀

Your AMR and AML score quite a lot don't they - can i ask if they are wingers of IF's? They seem to be taking quite a few goals away from your striker.

Yeah they are ifs well apart from the odd game where I experiment with wingers so they’ll always score a good few but I’ve found they seem to score loads when Parrott’s morale is down. I couldn’t get my system to work with winger when I tried it in the earlier seasons but I have some ideas of tweaks to instructions that may work and if I get the 5 goals early in the coming season then I’ll test it out cos the ifs I’ve got have the attributes to be wingers and all can play on either side.

Season 15

We began the new season with Parrott needing just 5 goals to get to his target of 1000 career goals. How long will he have to wait? Or will there be a twist?

We only had graduates coming in and the only sale was Andy Morel to Real Madrid. Andy was a fantastic striker but he wasn’t happy playing second fiddle to Parrott so we were forced to let him go.

Mandragora retired having spent 13 seasons at the club. He’s been fantastic and is one of my favourite midfielders in this years game.

August 15th 2032

Massive scenes at Parrott Palace as Parrott scores his 1000th career club goal against Nice. The goal came in the 18th minute and he would also add a second later in the second half.

Lyon were beaten in the final with Parrott getting amongst the goals.

A nice hat trick for Parrott in the final against Porto. We ended up winning 5-1.

Parrott’s Season

Parrott got 70 goals this season. He also got a lot more assists this season for some reason. His attributes are still great but his pace has dropped to 17 but he’s in his 30’s now so can’t be helped.

He finally signed a new deal not long after his 31st birthday. After signing he announced he’d retire at the end of his contract but the deal lasts another 5 years until 2038 so I suppose I’ll have to carry this on for a few more years!

Conclusion

I’m not the best FMM manager out there which was why I picked PSG and a decent player but this could have easily gone wrong for me so I’m very happy to get Parrott to 1000 goals. I thought I could maybe get 60+ goals a season and get over the line but I never dreamt I’d get Parrott over 100 goals in a season. I’ve learned a lot during this career but it’s not over yet as I’ve still got more seasons to go and I hope to get a few more goals for Parrott. 

Thank you to everyone who has viewed and commented on this over the last few weeks, it really has helped me push on.

1k is the respectable return, while others have blown that out the water don't allow it to water down the achievement mate.

Thanks, Yea I’m happy with it; I decided just before Christmas that I was going to have a go and try some challenges and I’m glad I did! I may try some of the shorter ones after this mind and there’s plenty of good ones to try!

Cheers mate, yeah I’m going to keep going. Now that he’s finally signed his deal and he’s not unhappy I may be able to get a couple more decent seasons out of him!

Season 16

Last season Parrott reached his target of 1k career club goals and he also finally signed a new contract towards the end of the season. Whilst he’s slightly declining I was still hopeful that he could register a decent total this season. Lets see how he got on.

Transfers

I brought in Saro who’s natural position is at right wing back but he can play in centre midfield and that is where he will be playing for me. He’s very similar in attributes to Trent but judging by his scout report he may be injury prone so it’s a bit of a risk but one I’m willing to take. I also brought in a young centre midfielder in Thomasson who I have high hopes for in the coming seasons. N’Zeza left at the end of the season as he wanted a new challenge so I let him go as he’s easily replaceable. The rest are just the usual graduates and I’m hoping a couple will come good.

Poorest league campaign we’ve had for a while. We took a 5-2 hammering against Lyon but I take full responsibility; we had a few injuries in midfield but I still took liberties with my selection and paid for it. We’d not lost in any competition for 215 games before that though so I can’t complain.

We beat SLB 2-0 in a one sided affair. Parrott got himself a goal also.

A routine 4-1 win in the final and Parrott would score a brace!

Another brace for Parrott in a 5-1 win against Nice in the final.

French Cup

We won the final fairly easily with a 2-0 victory but Parrott couldn’t get himself a goal.

We beat Dortmund 5-0 and Parrott was amongst the goals.

Parrott’s Season

Parrott got himself 86 goals this season which is his best tally for 5 years. His pace and aerial have both dropped but he’s still great.

Conclusion

This was Parrott’s best season for 5 years and I was kind of expecting it as he’s now happy having signed a new deal last year. It was a pain the last few years with him wanting a new challenge and now he’s happy. We keep plodding along.

Thanks, it’s just cos I’m managing PSG really. You have more or less unlimited money and if you have a half decent tactic it becomes easy. I’d happily have lost a lot more if it meant about 20-30 more goals a season for Parrott but I haven’t got the tactics for that as of yet.

Yes it is when you think about it like that. I was always wrapped up in what Parrott was doing each season that I hadn’t noticed that I was putting up big streaks without losing. I’m going to put the tactic up on the tactics section when I’m finished and others can try it.

We are just playing out Parrott’s last few seasons now and just trying to get him as many goals as we can.

Club World Championship

Boca were put to the sword in an 8-0 victory in the final. Parrott would also get himself a brace but academy graduate Escourflaire would steal the show with 4 goals from midfield.

I’m not sure if he’ll last the three more seasons that’s on his deal but I’ll keep playing as long as he wants to!
