Season 12:

I've decided to upload the final 5 seasons tonight, giving myself a bit of time tomorrow to decide on what to do next, here we go with Season 12

Trialled a new tactic this season, it well and truly failed with us just getting 2 trophies, but you don't know what you don't try and it made it a bit more interesting, losing a few games for a change.

Kabak was a solid but unremarkable player for us, too slow for a single CD

 

Erling Haaland:

He's hit 30 now and attributes are starting to fall. 

62 goals in 55 games. A slight increase on last year, but with the new tactics system this season, he played a few too many stinkers also.

We missed out on the Champions League again this season, Roma beating us 3-2. Everything else was a walk in the park, Haaland grabbing goals in every final (he likes doing that)

Vinagre left because he didn't like being rotated every game, but in this career, he developed far better than he ever has done for me

 

Erling Haaland:

A lot more red arrows this year, age is starting to catch up with him.....

....And yet he scores 73 goals in 48 games, love it Erling! His second best Season total for us, 78 goals in Season 3 still being his best tally.

With Erling well past his peak, the last thing I expected was a 73 goal season, absolutely delighted with this and he has put himself in a great position to reach his target, just 163 goals needed now, but he will only decline from here on out, its gonna be tight, seeyas on Season 14.

Swooped all of the trophies this year, Haaland once again grabbing goals in every final

I decided this season to freshen up the squad, sign players hungry for glory, most of my team were struggling to get motivated for most games, so I made the rash decision to do a squad rebuild of sorts in Season 14.

Couldn't ship a lot of my players due to wages being too high or something, I'm not quite sure, but whoever I couldnt sell is rotting in the reserves anyway

 

Erling Haaland:

Attributes continue to drop, but not as quickly as I was expecting which is handy

60 goals in 48 games, good enough for me, a big drop in goals from last season but age is a factor, a lot more games are coming from the bench or he's substituted around 60 minutes but hes still scoring. So no complaints from me.

So just 103 goals to go, the squad rebuild may have been a bad idea but I took a risk(IF IT PAYS OFF!) then I won't mind, seeyas on Season 15.

Erling won't discuss a new contract (he wouldnt talk to me the whole season) meaning this would be our last season to achieve our goal and setting up a very nervous final season for me.

1002 goals, it ran right down to the wire, but two braces in his final two games for PSG, claimed this challenge for us.

Haaland played in 78% of all our games. 

He scored 42% of all our goals. 

 

I had a blast doing this challenge, at times it got very frustrating, but to hit our target on the 2nd last game of Haalands PSG career was a massive relief and a fitting finish to a great career. 

 

For anyone interested the rest of this post will just be the extras that come along with playing FMM.

A beast of a CB, I wish I got to use him more, but he was brilliant in the 2 seasons we had him, Northern Ireland have never had better😂

Well done on your first 1kc. It’s a really great achievement and not one to be sniffed at as it involves grinding out season after season whilst resisting the temptation to tinker too much. Plus about seven seasons in all the better players start to age and the game doesn’t back fill very well. Wonderful stuff.

Thank you Ian. I would say I'm borderline addicted to these challenges😂 need to have a look at them again and see.

Thanks Dave, yeah I was very nervous, cause Haaland wouldn't discuss a new contract, but his two goals vs St Etienne was a massive relief

One last hurrah, I thought Haaland was gone forever but once he left the club and went to Villarreal, we were able to sign him for one more season and at the end of this season he would hang up his boots rightfully at our club, I clarified with Foxy to make sure this was OK and he gave me the thumbs up, so here we go:

 

Season 17(and Final this time, I promise)

A clean sweep in our final season would've been nice, but Atletico Madrid did what they do best, defend, defend, defend and take it 8-7 on Penalties.

Erling bought from Villarreal of course, the youth graduate got a 4 month injury 6 days after being promoted and Callejon signed as a CD for my second team

Serial moaners leave the club this season, Biaggio's ego was far bigger than his ability. 

 

Erling Haaland: (for one last time) 

His best days are way behind him now, but at 35, he's certainly maintained his attributes far better than I expected.

58 goals in 49 games, a very respectable total from our now Veteran goalscorer. He was unplayable in the league, ran over teams, Europe was a struggle for him, but a great final season nonetheless. 

 

Erling Haaland's Final Totals:

0.11 ApG. 

 

This concludes my 1kc, I had to do this final season, I couldn't have Haaland retiring at another club, after all Haaland and I have been through. I'll say again a massive thank you to everyone who read and/or commented on my thread, seeyas when I've chosen another challenge. Could you please update my score when you've time @Foxy thanks.

Yeah, I felt obliged to have one last season with him, before he hung up his boots, luckily he never had time to make an appearance at Villarreal, and yes this is his and my final season at PSG, his attributes are barely Vanarama National League quality now and the perfect time to call it a day, thanks for your comments throughout Ian.

Anyway, congrats on your first 1KC! You did much better than my first one BTW (took me like 22 seasons!), so massive congrats. He scored at a good ratio throughout and you did it without the ITN job and it looks like France has slightly less games per seasons than some places, so that was a great job.

Have you worked out what you're doing next yet?

Thanks mate, I've never played FMM so much before.

I like the Messi and Ronaldo challenge and it's very popular right now so I might give it a go, doing some tactics testing atm.

12 seasons is nothing!! I'd have that done in 3 days😂😂

Anyway I've made an assymetrical tactic that I'm happy with, (since everybody else seems to have one, I thought, why not make one) its enjoyable to watch the overloads, the CPU is always outnumbered when we go forward. 

Keep soldiering on with the TT, it will come good soon, (your doing well already, and theres plenty of time to hit your targets)
