  1. Square Pegs In Round Holes - An International Challenge: In club management you can sign whoever is needed to improve your team or to make a formation work but at international level you do not have this luxury and you have to work with what your nation has provided. This problem often leads to square pegs in round holes as we've seen at this world cup with Rooney playing on the left of midfield being an obvious example. This saying and predicament for manages gave me a challenge idea which i am now sharing with you guys. The Challenge: Who can do the best in the first season's World Cup playing only the goalkeeper in a green position. That means every other player in your starting eleven must be at least yellow or lower position wise. As the different teams are filled with various qualities i will be keeping a leader board for each nation but each leader board will not start until i have had at least one entry for them. This challenge will force you to think about every position while also testing your knowledge of what's needed where on the pitch, it could also bring some lesser known players into the fray! Rules: 1. Outfield players must be yellow or lower position wise 2. Own formations only 3. No cheating - This includes reloading 4. No use of editors or any other software which will give you an advantage 5, Evidence must be given, a career thread for us to follow is recommended. 6. First season's World Cup only but please feel free to continue the save. Leader Board: Good Luck
  2. Hello Vibe, hopefully this career will be entertaining for me (so I play it till the end), and for you as well (so you keep giving feedback) I am attempting to do 1K challenge yet again. I just finished season 2, but let me tease you a little bit Can you guess the team? Their nickanames are Leões, or Verde-e-Brancos . And you could maybe guess the player - the topic name could direct you the right way I had just finished season 2 , and have both updates ready P.S. : The player is real
  3. The Two Clubs, One Team Challenge Premise Choose any team that you would like to manage, and start a new career with them, you must achieve as much success as possible. You also need to choose a second club, this club will be your feeder club for transfers. Rules You may only sign players - On free transfers - From your reserves - From the feeder club of your choice - Players who have previously played for your club (e.g. If Manchester United is my club, I can buy Paul Pogba). - Or players who have previously played for your feeder club, this must be either; as a youth player, or for at least three years. (e.g. If Manchester United is my feeder club, I can buy Paul Pogba, who was a youth player, If Tottenham is my feeder club, I cannot buy Rafael van der Vaart, because he was only at the club for one season). If you change clubs, you must retain your feeder club, however, you can now sign players from your previous club. Scoring Win Domestic Cup - 5 points per free transfer signing, 10 points per player originally from your team or reserves, 15 points per player from your feeder club. Win League - 15 points per free transfer signing, 20 points per player originally from your team or reserves, 25 points per player from your feeder club. Win Continental Cup - 20 points per free transfer signing, 25 points per player originally from your team or reserves, 30 points per player from your feeder club. I hope you have fun with this challenge and thanks for reading.
  4. THE OLDEST FOOTBALL PLAYER This isn't a normal "must win X with team Y in Z years" kind of challenge. The goal of this challenge is to post the oldest player you managed to get playing for you. In order to do this several screenshots will be needed: Screenshot of the player profile Screenshot of the player history Screenshot of the team selection screen, with said player selected (proof that he's really your player) Apart from the screenshots, he needs to actually play for your team, and I don't mean a couple of games. He needs to be in the club for at least 5 seasons. I want someone who is a part of your team like Carragher is a part of Liverpool, and not someone who was bought when he was 40 and played 10 games in a single season as a backup. But of course, as your player gets older, he will obviously play less and less games due to his stamina, and that is perfectly normal. Your results will then enter the leaderboard. Think you have what it takes to convince Giggs or Beckham to give us a few more years? Or do you have a lower league under-"old"-dog playing with a cane in one hand? Show them to us! PS: The purpose of this challenge isn't to go look for an old player just to enter the leaderboard. The players needs to be a valuable member of your squad and not someone you just bought to get in the charts. Everyone can enter this challenge while they play their normal careers. LEADERBOARD REAL PLAYERS Thomas Vermaelen, 42 years old, playing for Guiseley under manager marxistafozzski REGENS Still Empty!
  5. I've played with quite a few different teams in football manager but I was wondering if anyone could tell me a team that I could start playing with that would be quite fun. I've already started unemployed and i've got stockport to win the prem and champions league by 2022, it was my first major challenge. I've also played with the league 1 teams and got them to the prem but got bored (wolves, oldham) Could someone tell me a team, the league the team is in and how hard it'll be to make it the best team possible? Thanks
  6. This will be my attempt at my own challenge, and at the same time my first posted career for FMH14. And of course, I could only go with the great FC Porto, right? Lets see how long will it take for me to complete this and prove, for once and for all, which team is the best in Portugal and the world. Hope you accompany me in this journey and I hope you like it and get involved with comments, suggestions, etc. So lets get on with the show! Season One creating the mould My first main concern with this career is to try and emulate in the best way possible how FC Porto plays in real life, and I also expect to replicate their current starting team, at least straight off the bat. This does not mean that some adjustments won't be made, because I'm sure they will, and if I'd like to develop further in this career, some players will have to go, despite what they represent to me in real life. Managing your real life club is hard, has most of you know, so I hope to do the best I can. As we start FC Porto has two players in the defensive midfield position, two inside forwards in each wing and an advanced playmaker. Well, that's wrong, at least for me. While I'll remain with a defensive midfielder, Fernando, playing as a ball winning midfielder, I'll need on player in the center midfield and I won't use inside forwards. The picture below will show you my starting eleven for the first season and their respective roles. You'll notice that there's a player missing in the DC position. This is because I rotate the player who occupies that position. It can either be Otamendi, Reyes or Maicon. The rest of the players will play as represented, whenever they're fit. Because of MerlionMaple's influence in last years game, I use Josué on the left wing as an advanced playmaker, to take the role left empty by James Rodriguez' departure to AS Monaco. building a team Since I want to replicate the real life club I didn't invest a lot in the first team, with most of my transfers looking to reinforce the B squad so I can have some more options in the future. Several players didn't have a place on the team or I would have a surplus of talented players for that position and I can't play them all. Kléber and Walter, brazilian strikers, left for FC Lorient and Marítimo. Marat Izmailov is getting older and he's very injury prone, but I managed to sell him to FC Kobenhavn for €3.2M. Abdoulaye was sold to Olympique Lyonnais for €6M (sad to see him leave but I have a lot of options for his position) and Rolando was loaned to Gil Vicente for the time being. Although you won't see it in the picture below, several B team youngsters were also out on loan so they could play a bit more. This year the B team has a lot of players and we can't have them all standing still for most of the season and, although some may never become good/decent players, one can never know for the time being. Better play it safe and get some loans out. As for players joining the team, Marko Pavlovski, already on the B team on a loan was bought and promoted to the main squad. To take his place in the B team, Bernardo Silva from our rival Benfica. He''ll probably be a future star on the team. We also signed Pedro Silva, a keeper from Sporting, Victor Garcia on a free transfer (he actually belongs to FC Porto in real life...no idea why he starts as a free transfer...) and you can also have a glimpse of two Bosmans who will join the team for season 2, Alexandre Frade and Jimmy Cabot. getting on with the show The first game of the season, is, as always, the Portuguese Supercup. In this chapter we have the upper hand against Benfica, having 16 more Supercups than our rivals. This season we would be facing Vitória SC and try to have one more cup added to our collection. After a great official debut for Juan Fernando Quintero, we won the game with a 3-0 victory and our first trophy of the season was won. The League Cup is a trophy that has been avoiding us since its creation. In real life that's easily explained. Our club doesn't really like that competition so, most of the time, our starting lineup is made up of backup players and some from the B team. But that is no excuse and we should try and win it all. I wanted to do that and get our first trophy in this competition but I got unlucky in the group stage so...farewell League Cup. In the Portuguese Cup, a competition I'll have to win at least 9 more times to come out on top (if Benfica doesn't win another, that is) we did better. Facing Sporting in the final, the game ended up being decided on a penalty shootout, and we were luckier. But to be honest, we diserved that win. Just look at the shooting stats! To conclude the national part of the competitions, we managed to become early champions, in March. We ended up having 34 more points than Sporting and 36 more than Benfica, who came out in the fourth position. The B team did good in the bottom tier, coming second, right after Benfica B. This means that I have quality backup youngsters and I like it. We also managed to get a Youth Academy so hopefully our ranks will increasy with quality youth. On the continental side of things, we managed to get to the quarter finals of the Champions League, facing Barcelona. After a 1-0 victory at home we had high hopes for the second leg but the disallowed goal from Jackson Martínez and Neymar's late goal wouldn't allow us to go through to the semi finals. season summary Unfortunately Benfica won the League Cup which means our goal is now updated to 5 Portuguese League Cups which we must win to overcome Benfica. PSG, while not being managed by anfieldsquirrel (sorry!) won the Champions League, defeating Ronaldo's Madrid in the final. A spanish final in the Europa League, similar to the Portuguese final a few years back, with Valencia coming out on top. For the next season I hope to see Porto's name six times in the above season summary! Jackson Martínez was the league's top scorer with 40 goals, while Josué came out on top with the most assists. Martínez was also the Liga Zon Sagres Player of the Year, and Josué winning the Youth Player of the Year award. Sadly for Ronaldo, Messi took the grand prize (although I hope Ronaldo gets it in real life, which is more than diserved!). I won the Manager of the Year award. I still have a long way to go, as far as my managerial stats go, but the board appreciates my work during this season. The player harmony was green just before the loans came back to the team. Now they wish to be promoted. Some will, some won't. Jackson Martínez did great as far as goals go, scoring 68 times this season. Our second best scorer, Quintero, only had 20 goals. Josué lead in the assists department, closely followed by Quintero and Varela. In fact, if I have to name some players who were most important to the team this year, they would have to be Jackson Martínez, Juan Fernando Quintero, Josúe and Silvestre Varela. I hope I can hang on to these players, but usually Varela starts declining very early so I'm not really sure about him. And usually, clubs like Barcelona, Chelsea or Real Madrid come after Jackson Martínez in the second season so I'll have to keep them happy with me and performing like they did in this first season. facing our rivals It is now time to do the math and see how we fared against Benfica. Below are the three games we played against them, twice for the league and once in the Portuguese Cup. After one season, the competitions/stats are as follows: Note to self: - Porto has 3 consecutive games scoring, 1 consecutive games conceding, 3 consecutive games winning, 3 consecutive games without losing, 0 consecutive games losing, 0 consecutive games without winning, 0 seasons without losing, 3 consecutive league wins (considering we won two seasons in a row in 2011/2012 and 2012/2013. - Benfica has 1 consecutive games scoring, 3 consecutive games conceding, 0 consecutive games winning, 0 consecutive games without losing, 3 consecuting games losing, 3 consecutive games without winning, 0 seasons without losing, 0 consecutive league wins.
  7. A Pint Too Many? You have been drinking quote a lot in the pub, and you've gone crazy. You decide to try something out with your new striker. Except he isn't a striker, a midfielder, or even a defender. Yes, that's right, the man behind your attacking force... is the goalkeeper. For Single-Player 2 points for every assist 5 points for every goal scored 5 points bonus for a brace 10 points bonus for a hat-trick 30 points for League Player of the Month 50 points for League Player of the Year 100 points for league top scorer 200 points for World Player of the Year For H2H Goalkeeper must score 10 goals a season Failure to reach 10 goals means lost challenge. Higher goal count is the winner If these are tied, least games wins If still the scores are level, any hat-tricks or braces scored become dominant. If all is still level, youngest goalkeeper wins. If SOMEHOW you are still equal, shortest keeper wins. Best of 5 seasons. Good luck and I would love to see some responses to this very difficult challenge.
  8. Introduction: Hello, measly people of above, the great Devil from down under (not Australia), has had a new career idea and decided to share it with you. I will hopefully attempt this if I have the time but I can't promise you anything. The challenge: You can choose any club (but choose multiple leagues as well as the league your club is in). There is no particular goal in this challenge, just to do well and not get sacked. Play a season with your team with NO SIGNINGS OR SELLING ANYONE! This is very important. Then, at the end of the season, put all your players for transfer and demote them. You will then replace the team with players of the same positions and nationality as the previous players. The new players MUST be younger than the players you are replacing. be younger than the players you are replacing. EG: I take Man United, and at the end of the season I will replace De Gea with Sergio Rico. For RvP with Charlison Benschop. For Etc...etc... Every season you can sign 3 players who are still younger and have the same positions, but can be a different nationality. This is to prevent not being able to replace a Gambian or something in your team. EG: I replace Nani with Gareth Bale, ('cause I'm rich ) and Vidic with Ezequiel Garay. For For And you repeat this every season. Little details: If you don't end up with enough money to fill your team, and really can't go lower in the price, then you can use sugar daddy but only then. If a player retires, then just act as if he was in the reserves already and buy a replacement. If no one wants a player then just leave him in the reserves or if necessary then release him. So: I create a save with Man United, with Spain, France, England and Holland loaded. I play until the end of the season. Paul Scholes retires, so I continue as if nothing had happened and he was still in the reserves, signing his replacement. It's 3 days before the transfer window shuts, and I still haven't signed a replacement for Tom Cleverly. I just quickly sign a crappy 15 year old. A bit disappointed but he'll do. End of season 2, I demote all the players, sell them, sign their replacements etc...etc... The rules: 1. No use of changes.txt/the SE 2. No use of unlockables/cheats unless for the reason stated above 3. Screenshots needed as evidence, preferably a career posted 4. No signing players from the youth team Well... Comments are as always appreciated, but constructive criticism only please because this took me a while to do. And feel free to try it.
  9. The Saboteur I've been pondering over a few challenges recently, and I think this time I've found a good one. There will be one normal solo challenge and one H2H. If you have any questions or criticism then feel free to post. Challenge 1: This is the solo challenge. The idea is to take any club, and Sabotage them! So for example sell their star players, spend all their money, relegate them on purpose, there are many possibilities. Then you may resign and try to get another job to continue to sabotage when you wish but it must be before two seasons with that club. But make sure you keep note of the name of the clubs because later on in the career if the club sacks it's manager you have to apply to get the job and if you do get it do WELL with that club! The aim is to eventually win 3x The Champions League, 2x any league in each country and get a job as at least one national team so you will definitely have to do well with some teams. So: I take Chelsea (not Manchester United? Because I'd never betray my beloved Red Devils!) (And they're doing bad enough as it is ) It's good to take a big club so that you start of with a decent sized reputation. I sell Torres, Terry and Eden Hazard then spend all of my money on Montel Agyemang and leave. You can sabotage a club a lot or very little, it is your choice. I see that Guiseley are in need of a manager so I apply and get the job, sell a few players etc...A few seasons on, they sack their manager again so I apply, get the job, and casually win the league with them...then leave again. Rules/Tips: It is better to select multiple leagues so that you have more job opportunities If you want you can do well with a club without it being your second time there to increase your rep You cannot stay at a club for more than two seasons You cannot win the objectives with the first team you pick Challenge 2: This is the H2H challenge. The idea for this challenge is for there to be one save for both players. Both players must agree on a team. They can switch teams if they want but only after at least one season as the previous team. There will be one who's just trying to play a normal career, but then the other player is the Saboteur! His aim is to put off the other player in the same ways as in the previous challenge but only one thing at a time. P1 has to send his save to P2 every 2 months (in game) and P2 has to then do his one act of sabotage and send it back to P1 who cannot reverse the changes P2 has made unless they are tactical changes but even then he can only swap the position to something different, not to what it originally was. The roles swap every season. If P1 is placed 8th (out of 20, so the equivalent in leagues with a different number of teams) or higher in the league well he wins the round but if not well P2 wins. So: I decide to play with Ashez (as an example ), and we select Liverpool as out team. I decide to be P2 (The Saboteur) so he will be playing the save this season. He decides to sign Romelu Lukaku and Ben Foster, plays his two months and sends the save to me. I decide to sell Luis Suarez for £1k and give him the save back. He sees, trembling in terror, that I've sold Suarez so he promotes Daniel Sturridge so star striker and gets on with his two months. And it goes on until the end of the season. In the end he comes 7th so he's won this round and I start off next season... Rules/Tips: P1: No playing more than two months at a time P2: You can only sabotage on thing at a time P1: If P2 changes your tactic, you can change it again but not to what it originally was P1: You may if you wish buy a replacement to a player who was sold by P2 but he has to be of a lesser value than the sold player P1: You can buy and sell players as you please with no restrictions apart from the one above General rules: No use of changes.txt/the SE No reloading to avoid anything Screenshots may be needed as evidence, preferably a career posted Own formations only Have fun! )
  10. 1000 GOAL CHALLENGE!!!! Right I've made a decision to try out a challenge as never done one properly! I've. never even done anything to do with this challenge and I've chosen my Club and my Player!! I feel this challenge will be nearly impossible due to to two things!! • 1 he's German so NO International goals • 2 my club is Arsenal and that means I'm in a tough league to score vast amounts of goals!! but I'm posting as I play so if I complete it or fail I dont mind but ill give it a good go!! VOLLAND!!!!
  11. THE GOLDEN BOOT In FMH13 everyone has done the 1000 goal challenge. Some have completed the 2000 goal challenge and one managed to stretch it to 2500. But most of them, if not all, have benefited from several circumstances: - Playing in Brazil where the São Paulo State has you facing mediocre teams - Scoring a bunch of goals with your national team against weak sides like San Marino So lets even the odds. For the purpose of this challenge only goals scored in your country's main league will count. So for Brazil this means only goals scored in Brasileirão count, for England it's the Premier League, for Portugal it's the Liga Sagres, and so on. All the goals scored in domestic cups or international or continental competitions mean nothing here. Since this has never been done, the first one to do this challenge will set the goal for this and he'll be the one to beat. If someone beats that mark, then that will be the new goal to beat. So, here are the goals and rules. GOAL - Score as much goals as you can, for your club, in the main league that he plays - The first player to complete this challenge until his player retires will set the goal for this and he'll be the one to beat RULES - Own formations only with screenshot proof; - Only the goals scored in the main league of the country your player plays in will count, so no cups, São Paulo State (for Brazil), league cups, europa league, champions league, euro, world cup, confederations cup, etc; - Screenshot evidence is required; - A career thread is advised. SEASON LEADERBOARD Still empty! LIFETIME LEADERBOARD Still empty!
  12. Atletico Madrid challenge so I'm doing this challenge where you have to score more than 30 goals a season but with a twist I would be doubling it, double strikers, double tally, and double trouble, so I have to score more than 60 goals a season and adding 5 goals each season going to use a striker who is both Spanish and Brazilian and another African who plays in england so drop guesses
  13. THE PORTUGUESE CLASSIC Although there are three clubs in Portugal known as The Three Greats, one of those clubs (Sporting) hasn't been so great in the last few decades, leaving the league glory to the other two remaining clubs of the trio, FC Porto and SL Benfica, with the first being a dominant force in the last two/three decades. The rivalry is so great that sometimes surpasses the world of football, translating into some kind of war between North (where Porto is located) and South (Lisbon, for Benfica). This challenge can be done in two ways, although if you go with the eagles, it will be a longer challenge. The purpose of this challenge is to be the best club in every way possible, when comparing both teams. This means you'll have to win more domestic and continental competitions and you'll also need to come out on top in stats related to matches between both teams. Below there's a list of the competitions won by each club and the stats as well. Take into consideration that some are extinct, like the Intercontinental Cup. It's very simple really, win more competitions of each type than your rival. The Intercontinental Cup gets replaced by the Club World Championship and if you win a Champions League, it can count as an Europa League (or else you'd have to fail on purpose in the group stage just to get relegated to the Europa League). Concerning stats, you must come out on top in EVERY SINGLE STAT. This means you need to have: more wins more goals better average goal vs rival more games with goals most consecutive games scoring least consecutive games conceding most consecutive games winning most consecutive games without losing least consecutive games losing least consecutive games without winning most seasons without losing most consecutive league wins Also, the above stats will be updated after each season, so this means you'll have to update your stats target at the end of the season, and this is why you'll need to post visual evidence of every single game between both teams, excluding friendly games. And like I said at the start, this takes longer if you play with SL Benfica because FC Porto have the upper hand when it comes to the Portuguese Supercup, with 16 more than SL Benfica. Hope you enjoy this challenge and give it a try! So, a few rules: You can only manage FC Porto or SL Benfica. No unlockables allowed unless you unlock them during this challenge. No use of text changes (for transfers only, since there's nothing wrong with editing the name of clubs or competitions) or save editor. No cheating, so this means you can't reload to win a cup final or get a better result against your rival. A posted career is mandatory with proof of who won what and each game between the two rivals (friendlies excluded!). Own tactic only, with visual proof. If requested you must upload your save so the coaches can check no cheating has taken place via the save editor and failure to do this will result in you being rejected from the leader board. Other rules can be added in the future, if needed.
  14. THE GOAL CHALLENGE Yes, you've read it right. It's the goal challenge. And no, it's not a 1000 goal challenge. It could be, but that's up to you and your player. The purpose of this challenge is to see who's the best scorer at a given age. The leader board will have different tiers, with different ages. This means that players, like Mason Bennett, who start the game with 15 years of age will be in the 15 Years Old tier, players aged 25 at the start of the game, like Lionel Messi, will be in the 25 Years Old tier, players like Kris Boyd, aged 28 at the start, will be in the 28 Years Old tier, and so on. So, your goal is to have the highest scorer in any given tier. The rules are simple: RULES: No cheats or unlockables (except those unlock in the course of your career) IT goals don't count --> Very important Own tactics required No use of changes.txt or Save Editor Screenshots needed as evidence (and a posted career is advised) Chosen player can't be a regen The main purpose of this challenge is to get people to use players they wouldn't normally use. Usually, when doing a 1000 Goal Challenge, we pick young players who we can manage on a international level, so that rules out older players or even African/Asian/North American etc. And even in a successful 1KC, it isn't fair to compare getting to 1000 goals with a young South Korean player or a young Portuguese striker because you can manage the Portuguese at his national team, getting way more goals that way, while you can't do it with the South Korean. Another example: Germany. We can't manage Germany and our German striker won't be called up due to lack of licensing. That prevents most of us using a German player. So pick that young Burkinabe striker, that 25 year old Polish striker or even that 30 year old German and give it your best! Players who have already completed the 1KC can be added to the leader board, as long as you provide the necessary screenshots, but don't forget, no IT goals allowed. LEADERBOARD 17 Years Old 18 Years Old 19 Years Old 20 Years Old 21 Years Old Notice: Only a few starting tiers are showing. Others will be added when there are players of that given age participating.
  15. Oh look, it's 11 players from FC Porto! What could this mean?! Is it possible that Graveluth will attempt the new challenge on the block with his team? Yes, it is possible. The players I've picked are those shown above in the picture. If you don't know them (and you should because they're the world's best ), let me introduce them to you. In the top row we have Helton, the Brazilian goalkeeper that will win your heart with his amazing reflexes and sympathy; Fernando, the ball winning machine, know as "The Octopus" because he seems to catch every single opposing ball; Danilo, the young right wing back; Jackson Martinez, the Colombian who had the hard task of replacing Falcao; Mangala, the french tower and Otamendi, the Argentinian bulldog who is insecure about his height so he stands on the tip of his toes for the picture (such a sissy!). In the bottom row there's João Moutinho, the heart of the team, who will never give up until the final whistle; James Rodriguez, the Colombian Advanced Playmaker on the Wing©; Lucho Gonzalez, El Comandante, who will lead the team in the field, Alex Sandro, looking menacing for the camera and finally Varela, known in Portugal as Caparica's Drogba (Caparica being a location near Lisbon). To sum it up, here are the stars of the show: Helton, 34 years old Alex Sandro, 21 years old Eliaquim Mangala, 21 years old Otamendi, 24 years old Danilo, 20 years old Fernando, 24 years old João Moutinho, 25 years old Lucho Gonzalez, 31 years old James Rodriguez, 20 years old Silvestre Varela, 27 years old Jackson Martinez, 25 years old I'll do this like WallyWonka, only selling the first player in January, as I think it makes more sense. While it isn't as hard as playing in England, you'll have to keep in mind that I won't be able to sell my players for massive amounts of money, so I'll most likely have to buy cheap substitutes. Lets see how this goes. Please vote in the above poll to pick who goes away in January.
  16. Sell Them Slowly Firstly let me warn the reader that this challenge is a little bit difficult to explain so hold on to your hats as I attempt to go through this as simply as possible. Objective The main objective of this challenge will be to win six consecutive league titles with one team The Concept, The Catch and How This Will Go Down 1) Pick one of the big teams in any league. Only the highest division from each country is allowed though. 2) Pick your starting XI for that team. This will not "change" over the course of the career. As aforementioned, the challenge will last 6 seasons or 12 transfer windows. In each transfer window you must sell one of the players in your starting XI. The catch is that in each window you can only make one new signing. Not only that, but the signing must be to directly replace the player you just sold. In other words you will be buying a player to replace the mainstay of the starting XI you just got rid of. But wait, there's more! The player you sign can only be worth up to 10% of the transfer fee you received for the player you sold. The career progresses as such until you fail to win the league or if you have successfully won it 6 times. The novelty of the challenge lies in how you choose to buy players as well as searching for hidden gems who will be able to fit into your system for a bargain price. Will you choose to invest in youth early on in hopes that they will become world beaters later yet at the same time risk being knocked out early with an underdeveloped team? Or will you try another strategy? To make it more interesting, one could allow the members of Vibe to decided which player of the Starting XI is sold in which transfer window through a career poll For Example Let's say I pick United. Next, I have to choose my mainstay starting XI. Let's say I opt for this: De Gea, Rafael, Vidic, Ferdinand, Evra, Cleverley, Carrick, Valencia. Kagawa, Rooney & van Persie Transfer Window 1: I set up a poll in my career thread and everyone wants me to get rid of Rooney. I am able to sell Rooney to Real Madrid for 50 Million. Now I have a maximum of 5 Million Euros to go out and buy a replacement. Let's say I'm able to pick up Ola Toivonen for that amount. Transfer Window 2: I set up another poll but this time there are only 10 players on it as Rooney has already been sold. Let's say Vibe wants me to offload Ferdinand. But disaster strikes. Nobody will take him off my hands for any price, so I have to release/demote him In this case I have no choice but to follow the rules and sign a player for a maximum of 10% of 0 or in other words, a free transfer. Now do you guys get a feel for why this is so tough? I manage to pick up some random player on a free transfer. Transfer Window 3: Assume I won the league in the first season and my team at this point looks like: De Gea, Rafael, Vidic, Random Player, Evra, Carrick, Cleverley, Kagawa, Valencia and Toivonen Remember that these players must be the mainstays of your team. Anyways, let's say Vibe wants to axe Kagawa. I manage to get rid of him for 30 Million. Now I need to find a suitable replacement for a ridiculous 3 Million Euros! Anyways, that's the gist of the challenge and one simply rinses and repeats until they either fail to win the title or have won it 6 times. Rules 1) No Unlockables/Cheats 2) No use of Changes.txt 3) Screenshots needed as evidence. Preferably a career posted 4) One must use the mainstay of the team unless they are injured, recovering from an injury or have are below 80% 5) One can only make 1 transfer in each window. That transfer is reserved for the replacement player you are buying 6) No Regens can be bought 7) If you make it all the way to the end, the final transfer window will see no dealings whatsoever Leaderboards The more seasons surpassed, the higher you will be on the leaderboard Comments, Ideas etc. Would be class
  17. The New Fergie Your aim is to beat the records set by Manchester United's legend manager, Sir Alex Ferguson. The records you must attempt to beat ARE: 13 x Premier League title 5 x FA Cup 4 x League Cup 10 x Community Shield 2 x Champions League 1 x UEFA Super Cup 1 x FIFA Club World Cup 11 x Manager of the Year 1 x The Treble 3 x League + FA Cup Double 2 x League + European Cup Double 2 x 3 Consecutive League Titles For an added challenge, you can load Scotland in aswell, and attempt these records set from when he was at Aberdeen. 3 x Scottish Premier League 4 x Scottish Cup 1 x Scottish League Cup 1 x UEFA Super Cup Good luck with the challenge, and I would love to see some responses!
  18. Will this challenge change in FMH 2014? Only one way to find out. This could also be attempted with MyClub. Play a season with your team, you can sell 8 players in the first season that you don't need to replace. But that's only the 1st season. And you can't buy anyone during the first season. Then, at the end of the season, put all your players for transfer and demote them. You will then replace the team with players of the same positions and nationality as the previous players. The new players MUST be younger than the players you are replacing. If a player retires, then you don't need to replace him. The screenshots are from 2013 but I'm sure everyone will understand just fine.
