Yet another good read :)

Two questions regarding the harmony within the team. Do you use intensive training and how do your players cope with it? Do you often take players aside for a talk?

Yes I do use the new IT, though I've never really bothered to give each player their corresponding regime :P so I'd say they're all doing well with 'General'

I wouldn't say that I often take them aside, but I do give the under-performing players some negative feedback once in a while...I'd say less than 10 times throughout the whole season

To make things easier I'll change mine... Anyone opposed to me having the Killie badge, seeing as someone's thrown it away like a piece of trash? I'll do it justice :P

Jk, and no more OT from me

Im playing the same challenge as you are :)

Good luck mate :)

The board actually raised their expectations for the season around November  Also almost managed to get Pellegrini sacked, but now they're back from 6th to 3rd in the league :(

Well I'd be really pissed if the national jobs are the same :( I am aware that Switzerland still have a Dutch guy managing them so my hopes are still here, but I think most other top nations still have native coaches...hopefully one day England appoint Guardiola or something :P

Sunny, I'm sorry, but I'm using you

I'm just waiting to see if you can get the national jobs so I can start this myself. In the meanwhile I'm just racing to be perfect.

Got that hint ;)

On that subject, whenever a national job comes up I only ever see native coaches linked with it. Has anyone ever seen otherwise e.g AVB linked with Germany job.

I haven't really paid attention to the linking thing, but I remember at the start of the career I've seen Russia appoint Hiddink, Denmark appoint some Italian, and Sweden appoint some Italian as well...which is why I started this thing anyway :P

I'm praying it's not only coz it's the beginning of the game :( I do notice that Xabi Alonso is now a manager though so there's the same amount of competition for Spain now that Del Bosque's retired

Season 4 - The twist

Towards the end of last season, we were finally picking up attention from rival clubs with much stronger financial backing, such as the likes of Chelsea and Man City, and as you'd expect, they'd start keeping an eye on our players. This was the case of Will Hughes, the player that was instrumental in our promotion from the Championship, as well as rotating with Kiyotake for the No. 10 spot last season. He was a very all-rounded player, much like Wilshere for Arsenal, you might even compare him to Gerrard at Liverpool, so he would be able to slot in any team immediately. Fortunately, being a youth product of Derby, he was also a loyal player, so when the big clubs did come along with quite lucrative offers...

...he wasn't upset at us for rejecting them :P

The board, surprisingly, was rather lenient and did not really expect too much from us, only expecting us to repeat last season's results. I was perfectly fine with it, especially with the amount of money they left us for it, though obviously I'd want to achieve more at this stage of my career.

Anyway, we added more options up front for the squad, bringing in 2 Croatian forwards, a Belgian winger, and an Iranian No. 10 - Damir Knez, Darko Marjanovic, Massimo Bruno, and Mojtaba Fatemi. The Croatian duo would make the best signings I've ever made. One was a lethal striker in front of the goal who was also a big-game player, the other was brought in as a super sub and as a plan B. From the experience of Spain on the international stage, we know the importance of always carrying a plan B around, and for the Spaniards they had Llorente and Navas, a combination of the traditional winger+target man. Marjanovic would be our Llorente, while we had Paul Coutts as our Navas. So now, we had consistency up front with Russell, pure talent with Knez, and a plan B which went on to work out amazingly effective throughout the season...

We secured the Capital One Cup early on, and managed to keep an unbeaten record at home and the best away record in the league, which ultimately rewarded us with the league title 5 games ahead...

...though our unbeaten run of 48 games was ended by Olympique Lyonnais in the EURO Cup Quarter Final :(

But we managed to move on with a 3-2 aggregate win :D

In other news...

B06ED91E-B5C7-4463-AD64-5AD618B3CC0D_zps

...and Rafa Benitez was sacked by the Manchester United board...

While the media was expecting me to stay at Derby and build a dynasty, my decision perhaps shocked the English press...

And soon I faced my first challenge of getting into the Champions Cup Final. Again similar with Derby, the Man Utd squad fitted pretty well with my preferred 4-2-3-1 tactic, and we also had runner-up to the Word Player of the Year award in our squad - Shinji Kagawa. Still, my first match, the second leg at home against French giants Paris Saint-Germain proved to be a challenge...

...and fortunately luck was on our sight that night, leading us to the Final, which turned out to be a Manchester Derby :P

Back in England, I was also given the chance to face the beast I created...

...which we narrowly defeated. Sadly with van Basten now at Derby, things just didn't seem to go as well as my reign...

Amazing mate, now the challenge has started :D

And you unlocked no loan restrictions :P

Lol super cups do count right? If it's a yes then I guess we've completed the first club lol

I think that's when you send a player on loan or get a player on loan, and he finishes as a top scorer or something? If so I believe our Scholes regen did the trick :P

Ah then our little Lampard regen (double checked and Scholes isn't in the game so it must be Lampard lol) must've won an award :)

And we're likely to be moving on :D

Come on and get a national job...the anticipation is killing me. In two different FCP test careers I played, as a portuguese manager, I got the England job on second season, and Denmark on second season as well. This looks promising...

How do you feel on having someone to compete with, biting your heels? ;)
